I feel like I have been cleaning the house a lot.
We had the house valuation and it was fairly good news. We still can't put our house on the market yet anyway. The estate agent today said my house was "Immaculate and very tidy" lol. I wish I could believe him completely. I really need to keep up on this on a daily basis!2025 GOALS

I am going to buy a new to me shelf for the spare room. It is slowly turning into a shrine to the 50's, 60's and 70's. I keep rescuing things from Mum's. I want to keep all her wooden cotton reels but what would I do with them if I did. I know I could craft things with them but what do I do with the things I make? I may as well donate them and let someone else craft them. See I talked myself out of that one.
It is my son's Birthday tomorrow. Everyone asked why I didn't call him George. It could have been Christmas day for all I knew at the time! haha
Take care Vx15 -

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday I actually left the house 😉 I was wrapped up warm & wore my waterproof jacket (not needed as there were just a few spits of rain) Headed into Lewisham - first stop CS - the ladies were thrilled to bits to get the hand knitted scarves as the weather is still so cold + a baby blanket. The item that caused the greatest joy though was the Jack Sparrow hat 😂 I had a look for the missing Shetland books but no joy, however I did buy a black vase which I liked the look of 🙂 Bought mushrooms in the market, then headed to the haberdashery & bought a few bits. Then to the card shop where I bought most of the birthday cards needed for the rest of the year. Popped in quickly to B*ots & picked up some dental hygiene products as recommended by the hygienist. All in all I was out for about 2.5 hours. Updated my accounts diary + removed two portions of cottage pie from the freezer which I defrosted in the warming drawer. DH phoned 18:15 - he was not so lucky with the weather - he got rained on twice 😔 although he managed to get 4 current & 4 old landmarks. Following picture is the view from the pub he is staying in.
DSis tidied her room a little - decluttered 3 cardboard boxes, paper packaging & a bag of detritus 👏 Dinner was delicious 😋 Wudupa.
597 - 632 Eleven scarves, 11 plaited bookmarks, potato masher, baby blanket, bubble wrap x 2, tape measure, 7 reels of cotton (all the same colour), a Captain Jack Sparrow hat, magnetic strips to CS

One oven out but another one in so nothing to count there. A couple more bits to craft group but not worth counting. Some weeding done. Put into compost so still on the premises. Some mould decluttered and painted over with mould free paint. A dehumidifier added too that room now. Things are looking much fresher and cleaner. Heading to mainland at the weekend so dropping off some books to sister. Working my way through all of the decorating frogs. I am busy but nothing to count for me this week.

While selecting a 'new' lever arch file for dd2 I sorted through the box I found it in in the RoD; half could go! DD wanted to keep the old file to 'do crafts with', but we talked about it and threw it out. Lots of paper recycling, some craft stuff consolidated, some half-filled boxes filled. The moving boxes we bought from a discounter are really bad quality, so I'm getting rid of all of them.The RoD is mostly accessible after husband filled the freezers with our old stuff. Hurray!I was watching telly with dd2 last night, and I started ironing. When I went to put away some of the ironed pieces, I found that dd2 had taken over! First time ever, and she enjoyed it! Her own clothes only, but she was very pleased with the result.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5914

Morning Peeps,
Feeling a bit proud if that's ok?
I had a visitor last night - twas my lovely next door but 1 neighbour. She brought me round a present from Christmas and some bottles of 3 conditioners and 2 large shampoo bottles. We spent some time together last year talking about l and doing some decluttering and having too much stuff. She lost her DH last year and at Christmas 9 months later it all hit her. So she is now coming back out of her dark place and starting more decluttering. She didn't want to throw her DH's shampoo away so she gave it me knowing it would be used. Yes my stock has increased again in this area. I have decanted 2 bottles so they have been placed into the recycling bin. I am very pleased for her. I too, now need to get more of my backside into gear and move some of ours out.

Hi all, not posted for a couple of days, thought I was more recovered than I was plus having a couple of social type things on and I was knackered. The spring fare was a bit of a wash out. By the time I got there all the cakes had gone and what was left were plants, mainly vegetables and bric a brac which I avoided as this is just the sort of stuff I am trying to get decluttered
so I still need to get the birthday presents. On Sunday we had a late lunch out with a friend and her son who we are going on holiday with at the end of May as it was the son's birthday. We went early as we wanted to buy a voucher from the restaurant on the reservoir near where they live as part of the present, we were eating somewhere else. We had a coffee there and sat outside in the sun while overlooking the water. It was lovely and relaxing and we went on to have a lovely meal and then all sat out in the sun by the resaurant where we ate and sorted out a few things about the holiday. I passed on all the recommendations for places we could visit and we have agreed that we can be very flexible and if someone wants to do a particular thing not everybody needs to go if they fancy something else and we can all meet up for tea, everyone is happy with that. It was quite late by the time we got home as it is a bit of a drive and I was so knackered I couldn't even stay awake to watch the footy highlights. Yesterday we went to visit a friend in hospital. The friend who was in with pneumonia but had been sent home but had not properly recovered. She had fainted at home on Thursday and had dislocated her hip. She has replacement hips. Luckily she lives with her Dad and he managed to catch her, but he isn't too spritly himself and was struggling to hold her and her sister arrived for a visit so was able to help. Upshot was an ambulance was called, back to hospital but it took them 2 days to get the hip back in as they couldn't give her an anaesthetic due to the still ongoing pneumonia and she was in quite a lot of pain until the hip was sorted. They are keeping her in to do more tests and try to sort out the pneumonia. I am quite cross on her behalf as she really was sent home too soon. She, of course, is champing at the bit to get home again and get back to work. We gave her a talking to, I said even when she gets home when she feels she can cope with work she needs to take another 4 weeks off. She works with young children in a preschool nursery and needs to be completely well before she thinks about going back rather than thinking I can cope. I also spent some time trying to find a cs that is taking donations but so far no luck
. Also had to take the car to the garage, need a new exhaust so I am waiting to hear when they have the part and how much it will cost but hopefully it will be sorted this week. The sun is out again today and I have 1 load already on the line and another load swishing away
@QueenJess my heart also sinks when I see racks of pink for girls in the shops. Funnily enough I am reliably informed that this is not the case in Germany where boys are also allowed to wear pinkand girls can wear blue
@Brie couldn't agree more about marvellous adventurous women we hardly hear about, it drives me crazy when you realise what wonderful role models are not lauded as they should be. I too have issues with hairdressers not cutting my hair short enough
@nannywindow big hugs and everything crossed that the scans show nothing nasty
@Mrs SD lovely clematis
@charlies_tribe I would be tempted to put all the barbies in a bag and hide it to see how long it took them to notice they were gone
@florianatwobob lovely little plant
@Muddy_Walker I think they reject all applications for pip as a routine just to make it difficult for people. Good luck with the system that I think needs a complete overhaul, hugs
@Vulpix hugs
@GrannyKate - pen drives - I have about 30 to go through mainly full of stuff I used when working so should be able to empty them all when I get to them
@machasraven welcome aboard, lots of lovely people here, looking forward to following your journey
@Florenceem sorry to hear Mr F not himself, everything crossed it is just a passing phase, hugs
@ilovetea hugs
@Vulpix - sun topwe live in hope
@Siebrie great that dd2 likes ironing, one less job for you to do
Right off to get the 2nd load of washing on the line, hugs to anybody who would like one
