Been away for a few days, with only hand luggage, so lovely having only a few things.. hopefully will inspire me, DD2 has been looking after the cats, one needs to gain weight and one to lose which is proving difficult. drove DD2 back to Birmingham today and while she didn't sort her room some progress, 2 lever arch files from school to bin, and 2 news ones ready for the donation hub, with 2 headphones, and some cables and previously put together packs of coloured pencils. OOD  food DD2 didn't eat, some paper declutter, some bits from holiday out, packaging etc 
New total 603 , also for textile recycling a draught excluder I stitched badly and was stuffed with dozen of holey socks, counting as 2 and some slippers (another 2 as feeling generous). now 607 Hoping to get to 843 by end of may which will get me on track but is a big ask. ..

Well done to those getting rid of big items such as the bath and the smaller items, and love the photo of the little self seeded flower

@florianatwobob re the The Elves and the Shoemaker book it is a Ladybird book. I was thinking at the time if it was that. I'm not going to go down a rabbit hole to find it but I know it is safe. 
I was in the process of getting to sell my fit bit it had been placed back in its box with the extra strap too as I feel to need the damn thing back on again so with the intention of shopping from home (DH would buy me another) I can't find it. It's obviously in a box/bag supposed to be getting advertised but there is quite a bit to go through. Better make use of today's offer from the bay and get some others listed.

I managed to re-home a sports bag style wheeled suitcase last week. It was just big enough for the conference I usually go to each year, but wouldn't stand on it's own and had to be propped up or held onto, which was a faff.
I'm kicking myself as I'd bought a small suitcase that was barely big enough for 4 nights away and wish I'd bought a 26 inch suitcase so I could also use it for the conference.
I'm not going to rush into it, but I could do with one suitable soon.
The trouble is that when it goes onto the van the church hires it will be bashed about as though it's going onto a plane.
It annoys me as I like to look after my things plus don't expect it to be treated any other way.

In other news my PIP application was rejected. They were a bit naughty really - the letter was dated 25th March but I didn’t get it until last week - mid April and they give you 1 month to disagree and then download and fill out another form which has to be printed signed and posted. To me, the form wasn’t too difficult but I can imagine many people would struggle and the format of the form wasn’t user friendly. 

However it will get printed tomorrow and I will sign and send special delivery. 

This ^^ I got a letter from HMRC dated 26 Feb, arrived on 9 March, saying I had 30 days to repay a tax credit overpayment (from 2006 so of course I have appealed). Their letters got super-snail-mail and cynical me does wonder if that's tactical....

@2Scratters I grew up reading the 60s/70s Ladybird books (inherited from my sister). Beautiful illustrations and one of my favourites.

Yesterday our sister-church from Wallonia paid us a visit and after the church service and meal (bought ready-made; heated up in our church - we don't have proper cooking facilities, unfortunately), we had a guided tour of a park nearby with a lot of history. The weather was sunny, but a cold wind. Luckily, the trees sheltered us from most of the wind.

I 'decluttered' membership of the organising committee. It's the wrong time of year for me. I happily do setting-up and dishes, but organising, buying, etc is not for me in April.

I'm still contact person for the Sunday school and the teenager group, organise Christmas, and the February cheese-and-wine night. I also help out at the Spaghetti fundraiser in October. My 2 other Sunday school leaders have to study for end-of-year exams, so I'm practically on my own for May and June. I enjoy doing it, but 9 Sundays in a row is a bit much! Thank heavens for premade Sunday school programmes!

 I have had similar delayed letters in the past from tax credits.Funny that.

Hi, I was in the garden for hours. yesterday,joined for the last hour by my heartbroken neighbour. she has an ap on her phone which identifies birdsong .the evening chorus was blackbird, robin and wren. I recognise a black bird but didn't know what the others were. Gravel garden not finished but getting there, I am feeling very sad. bit by bit is my gardening friend and she loved it here. so sad that she wont enjoy it again.

 A frog eaten. Mr V put up some solar fairy lights on my rose arch.  Bought them about a year ago. I darn't say they are a bit OTT as he gave up watching the football to do it.

 Several things of Mum's collected.

 We are going to Lincolnshire shortly.

I won't be counting all the stuff we're about to add to the newly arrived skip, but I have added a dead watch, bubble wand, set of plastic dinosaurs and an ancient keyboard - making 856 so far this year!

I've noticed that too with the hmrc and am sure it's done deliberately.

DS2 is still waiting for replies from HMRC to letters sent in February 2023 (tax credits) and January 2023 (general personal tax issues - 4 reminders sent).  On line all it shows against the last letter is 'in process'. They are really hopeless to deal with but when you owe them money they are distinctly unpleasant. 

491 Three more pen drives emptied of contents - things like navigation updates for car we no longer have etc
492-501 At least ten items cleared from garden toy box - broken buckets, rackets etc - DGD4 was in charge
502 An hour of my life decluttered sorting out the cords for crab nets for holidays.  Two sets hopelessly entangled.  DS2's girlfriend brought me a glass of wine to help.
503 Lots of papers sorted and recycled or shredded by DS2 
504 Egg box returned to farm shop and more eggs brought
505 I picked up pile of recycling cartridge envelopes at Mr T only to discover they don't give club points for recycling the make which I use - so recycled the envelopes!
506 Attempted to rearrange Covid jab at surgery but they could only offer ones I could not do.  They said ring 119 which I did - they referred me to online system.  They offered me an appointment at the branch of my own surgery just 2 minutes walk from house.  No idea why main surgery couldn't offer me that time and date. 

Trying to get motivated but nothing happening on the selling front.
