@vulpix - I know I need to be patient - house is quite big so guess market more limited. Not done much today - plans for cleaning etc at weekend.
438 Fridge cleaned out and some tatty oddments binned
439-441 Three pots of Different sauces OOD emptied, washed and recycled
441 Identified horrid smell in kitchen - DS2 had been cooking and left various curry ingredients in a corner - underneath were two disintegrated carrots in a plastic bag - they had just gone to a smelly mush.
442 Weeded in front garden
If I get moved I shall be posting pictures of gardens to seek inspiration - most properties I have looked at are empty and gardens are wildly overgrown following the rain and some years of neglect. The one I looked at yesterday had good 'bones' underneath as all the pathways were still level and unbroken and most fences were in good condition with concrete posts and gravel boards.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Wednesday is dull & overcast but dry so far. Up late again to an empty house as DH & DSis had gone to B+q in the car. They got back about 14:30 with bags of compost & bark + had also popped into L*d* - we have pizza for dinner tonight 🙂 I have had yet another day of doing sweet nothing. It did rain several times from about 5 p.m. 😔 DSis did the wu 👏
Thursday is another overcast day but quite warm 17C. Up late again. DSis headed off to her exercise session after having a long bath. Wonders will never cease - the recycling wheelie bin was emptied this morning i.e. on time 🥳
517 - 526 Kitchen recycling x 2, drinks cans x 2, DSis’s recycling - 4 boxes + paper packaging, newspaper - recycled
527 - 528 Kitchen detritus x 2 - binned

Been to SA as someone was dropping off donations - I sorted most of them straight away.
Went to the hospital with Mr F for his xray. Bumped into a Cousin while there - not seen her for ages.
I offered to take him out for lunch for his Birthday but he said - leave it until it is warmer.
We popped to Lid. for some shopping on the way home.
After lunch I sorted out a trolley of stuff for Mr F to take to the charity shop - someone had donated half a dozen toy guns - we don't want them at SA.
I am locking up after drumming workshop tonight - I think someone else is collecting donations today so expect an untidy foyer at SA.

And as to toy guns....weird that I grew up with toy guns but don't want them about now. Our family has a good selection of real guns but all either historic, museum pieces or hunting guns. I think that is the difference is that now I know (as do the vast majority of people) that it's dangerous to have toys that might be mistaken for the real thing and that children need to learn that there are consequences associated with dangerous things.
Which brings me back to the food bank and decluttering....one of the things I've been pondering is what to do with some excess kitchen knives. I know most (all?) charity shops won't take them. And I asked at the FB if I could bring in a couple of good chef knives for a young man we know who is trying to kit out a flat. He's a chef so I suspect he'd want a decent knife to use at home. But while the FB will help with pots and pans and plates they don't want anything that someone might use to harm themself. And I get that. But then the woman who runs the FB suggested I could bring them in for the FB itself to use as they run weekly dinners for the community and need decent kit too. So that's a bit more decluttering I can do. I'll see if I can get a decent edge on the knives first as the real problem with them right now is being dull means they can easily slip and someone can be cut due to that rather than because they are sharp.

On a drive up north to see relatives and have two small pieces of furniture plus clothes and books that we are gifting to them.
Have gone through wardrobe again and have a charity shop bag ready to go. Also have two pairs of curtain going to northern rellies .
Had birthday lunch with two pals today, her birthday not mine. Delicious picky lunch of pitta, pate, hummus type thing. Little birthday cake. Really nice time.
Picking up some bubble wrap and packing paper tomorrow as packing starting on Saturday

All the glass storage jars have gone, my little next door neighbour had them tonight and in exchange showed me the picture of her scan
She is three months pregnant with a new baby with her partner, and I'm so pleased for her, she said she was dying to tell me but wanted the three month scan sorted first
Her children by her ex are 12 and 10 and the young girls are so chuffed as well. She had a bit of a rough few years, and her partner is a lovely chap she's known since she was 15 but had drifted away as youngsters sometimes do ,married the wrong chap, and he is now her ex.
The best part is she asked the children first this year if they were happy to have her partner in their lives ,as being leap year she was going to propose to him. The girls both wrote him a note saying 'Please say yes, as Mum and us really want you to be part of our family, and we want it as well'.
Her and her partner went to Brighton for the weekend back in February and she actually got done on one knee and asked him one of the staff to video it for her.
He said 'Yes please'they are such a nice couple together and he loves the bones of her, bless him I couldn't be more pleased than if she was my daughter.
Its looking likely to be early June when I move fingers crossed if not before so although I'm looking forward to moving I'm sorry to be leaving such a lovely neighbour.
But I'm thrilled to bits for her and her partner. The hospital are keeping a close watch on her as she is high risk eclampsia as she also has a muscular problem which they think may develop into MS later.
I do hope not as she is such a hard working lass, and in the last few years did three jobs a week to keep her house, and the food on the table for her children, as her ex isn't very forthcoming and pays the least he can.But a lovely bit of news.

Hello.Bit of a random declutter today. A box of grass seed! Popped on local FB page and it was a friend who requested it so I’ve just spent a nice hour chatting when I delivered it.Went through some jewellery and have a pile for charity shop. I’ll be in town in the morning so shall hopefully get a chance to drop it off.Have a big Christmas wrapping paper storage bag full of full rolls of paper. Messaged local children charity that does Christmas gifts but they are closed till next week so hopefully they can use it. It’s all very well living in a cupboard out the way most of the year but there’s no storage in new house!16

Nothing done today. Had a bit of a fall this morning and decluttered some skin off my face and some off my knee. Gained a black eye and a very bruised knee .
Sat on the settee and watched rubbish telly, Thinking about all the things I should be doing.
Always tomorrow.

ouch that ouch that sounds really sore
climb into the TLC carriage and recuperate. Always another day when you feel better, feet up and hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows is excellent medicine when you’re feeling a bit battered and bruised, be kind to yourself
