Thank you for my medal Mrs SD, oh how I wish i had the energy I had when I was 20. Thank you for liking my garden. There was no garden when I moved here 2.5 years ago. My lovely builder made the bones of it to my ideas. This year it should be looking lush as plants are maturing. It is quite depressing looking at how much more painting is on my agenda. At the moment it's for the best for me to keep busy and be physically tired at night.
Never got in the gravel garden as Mr V was in there doing something with speakers and wires all afternoon. top dressed all my hostas with grit, swept and weeded the shed village. I emptied my sentry box of garden shiz and found some off cuts of wood and a load of canes and plant supports for the tip tomorrow. A large banner Mr V had stuck between 2 sheds is also off to the tip. It was for a now closed radio station. Oh,tidied all my empty terracotta pots. I gave my neighbour a forsythia. It is lovely but yellow isn't my colour palette. She doesn't have a garden so is gradually taking over a piece of a nearby public footpath.
Home alone tomorrow so moving all the circular patio pieces off the drive towards the top garden then a good sweep up and tend my pots whilst the car is not there. I doubt very much that I will achieve all that as there is so much patio stone but if I do I have plants to plant out in the gravel garden.
Granny Kate ,I would love to chat about gardens.
Brie, in the end I took some old sharp/blunt knives to the tip.
London 1, nice to hear some lovely news.
Oh dear I love tea. No rush with jobs, They will still be there for another day. Take it easy.xx

Oooh - that sounds like it hurts. I agree with the hot chocolate, squirty cream,, and plenty of marshmallows. Or several cups of hot tea with honey and lemon (honey is supposed to help with the healing).
I've just been taking people to medical appointments, the grocery store, and school. And working on family history - some of my own even. We have been having a problem at the FamilySearch Center the last two nights as we haven't had any Internet. Specialist called in, tried over an hour to fix it, will try again - thinks it is a faulty switch. Those who are driving decided they wanted to take us all home early both nights. Had people calling me at home instead for help. Worked out okay as I could access what I needed for them on the home computer.
Next week is the book sale already - so a lot of time will be spent at the Library getting ready. All of the sales will be downstairs this year so a lot easier to set up and take down.
Big cat has been providing a lot of help with roommate's decluttering as he has taken to tearing up stacks of papers in her room. So weekend will be putting papers she really wants to keep away properly and cleaning up the torn up papers! Will also be moving her mattress around, and cleaning up around the edges of the bed.

I was saying to my husband that I don't remember watching the last episode of Sort Your Life Out.
I don't know if it didn't record it or I have just forgotten.
I haven't been doing too much decluttering lately, but yesterday my husband got rid of all the weeds in the garden and I tidied the under sink drawer in the kitchen and my toiletries drawer. I threw away quite a few things and cleaned everything out.
I have just been feeling very aimless at the moment as my husband still is off sick from work and he doesn't know what is happening about his job and whether he is retiring or not. I saw a house I liked in Broadstairs on Rightmove, but it is very unlikely that it will still be there when we are ready to move house. Added to that I haven't got much planned socially. My brother and his girlfriend are coming over next weekend so I will go out to a restaurant with them, but other than that I haven't got anything planned until Taylor Swift at the end of June! After that I have 4 other concerts within that 4 weeks. My hairdresser reminded me the other day that there is another concert that is within the same month so it might be 5 concerts now! I haven't planned this year very well as I haven't got anything to do for the next 2 months, lol.
I am trying to lose weight and save money at the moment too and I'm finding both very boring which doesn't help matters.
I need to clean the decking and paint the shed today and this weekend as I might get a valuation on the house next week. It seems pointless getting a valuation now as I have no idea if it will be this year or 2025 or even 2026 that we are moving house, but at least we can see how much they think it is worth. Sorry for the rant!11 -
ilovetea - make sure you rest - a fall shakes you up.
I made 8 Christmas cards yesterday afternoon.
Only 3 black sacks of donations to sort when I went to lock up at SA last night - soon sorted.
I made some doll house curtains this morning for a friend and gave them to her when I popped to SA. No donations to sort so I came home - I have offered to go back at 2.45 to be there while C goes to a meeting. Hopefully the singers will not be too long and I can lock up and come home.
I am going to make some more Christmas cards this morning.
Mr F has gone into town with a trolley of stuff for the charity shop. He will pop in Asd. on the way home for milk and a local paper. I offered to take stuff to the charity shop as I have a large bag full ready but he said that he will take it this afternoon as I have already been out and going out again this afternoon.
It is a lovely day here.

I see that I haven't posted in about a month. Hugs to anyone who needs them and cheers to anyone who earned them.We spent a week in Athens, Greece and had a lovely time. I tried to keep it as frugal as possible and we came back with less luggage than we went out with (planned!). We were so glad we went in the Easter break, because it was already 26C and too hot for me to do much during the afternoon.I have also delegated to planning next year's family vacation to my husband and ddsNow, we are prepping the villagewide garage sale on Sunday. I hope to sell soooo much.I threw out 3 pairs of shoes: dd2's trainers that helped her through winter, my court shoes that I had a button sown back on but then couldn't get my foot back in to, my suede trainers that were already at the end of their life and juuuuust managed to not fall apart until we came back home. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5917

My DGS Henry is off with a couple of pals to Athens at the end of the month , he's definitively got the travel bug.
This year he's been to Hungary, and Morocco and Madrid, and will be in Greece in a couple of weeks, and has booked to go to Egypt in June for his 23rd birthday. I treated him to his passport when he was 18 ,as I did all of my grandchildren and because he was a penniless student for three years he didn't get much use out of it, plus the world was in lockdown so he missed a great deal of student fun. He now is a merchant banker and is making up for it

My rant must have worked. I went outside to clean the decking (which took almost 2 hours) and when I got inside my husband said he had received the letter from his GP and a message from his work that he has a meeting in a fortnight. Hopefully they will give him more information about what his options are regarding retiring.
I feel better for getting that job out of the way although I think we will need to repaint the decking at some point as it is looking worse for wear. My husband can paint the shed on his own this afternoon!
I am putting together another bag for the charity shop. A book, a purse, three bottles of primer and a moisturiser I don't like and a denim skirt.
It is actually a nice sunny day.2025 GOALS

@London_1 If he is planning to visit the Akropolis it's best to go to the South Entrance (Dionysus Theatre entrance) before 10am to avoid the crowds and have some coolness still.For a free view of sunset over Athens; it's free to walk up the Lycabettus Hill (there's a furniculum, but it's not worth the €10).Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5915

Acropolis is open into the evening in Summer (Think it closes earlier on Mondays) which is also a good time to visit. The first time we went (guided tour with cruise) it was middle of day and unbelievably hot which was made worse by sun shining off marble. Second time I accompanied DGS1 in early evening whilst late DH sat in taverna nearby.
443 Binned whirly-gig washing line cover. It has been gradually rotting over this winter and putting it on full of holes is silly now.
444 Last of April cards bought and started on May.
Discovered house round corner (very similar price to mine, same design but smaller) is under offer - so there is hope.2025 Decluttering Campaign 665/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hello all, it's been a lovely day so a basket full of washing has been done and line dried. I also stripped the bed and washed the bedding. I put it all on the whirly with the help of DH as I'm still not up to full par yet. We had a new mattress delivered and put on the bed this morning, they also took the old one away which cost us a bit extra but it was worth it to all be done by the delivery men, they were young and fit and not old codgers like us 🤣. This afternoon we've re-made the bed and as the mattress is so much thicker the sheets only just fit, think I shall have to buy super king ones. I think I'm going to have a step made by DH too just to get into bed tonight, it's now so high 🤣
Into the recycling has gone a cardboard box that held 12 packs of wipes which I have decanted into a cupboard..... I sent DH to the sm for I packet and he came back with a box full !
Ilovetea gentle hugs to you. A fall certainly takes a while to get over, especially the older we get, look after yourself and take it easy.
Take care all
