Good Morning all, GrannyKate my EPC chap was lovely as well, bless him he said he was impressed at how I had replaced all the light bulbs with the new LED ones .I told him I did them one at a time as they are around £4.00 each so I would buy one every couple of weeks or so and counting up I have 25 altogether in my house as I have two long bar light fittings in my kitchen which hold 4 each and a long bar fitting in my study /spare room which also holds 4. By changing them all he said I'd probably over two year recouped the cost in lower electricity use. He said he would like to see the price of them come down then more folk would perhaps change.he said it really did make a difference and was better for my purse and carbon footprint I went for the first reason as anything thats better for my finances gets my approval
the new people who have bought my house will benefit as well which is good. My fridge freezer is 'A' rated along with my washing machine which are also going to be left for them (we don't need two as DD will be taking theirs ) Plus my walls had been insulated and the roof has double insulation in it.
More decluttering today, it will be some of the drawers from my two chest of drawers which hold far too many clothes, most of which no longer fit after the weight loss from last year's illnesses. Most will go to the charity shop as there is a Marie Curie one near where I live and its there turn for my decluttering The Sense shop has had quite a lot so I decided the other shop will have its turn. Our local library has started to take small electrical appliances for recycling to charity shops as they do a PAT electrical check on them then pass them on so they will get my coffee percolator on Tuesday as again we don't need two.I will try to dig out from the back of the cupboard under the stairs both of my late husbands electric drills and a couple of sanders which are in there,I know they work OK, but again I won't need them. I do like to try to find a home for the bits rather than junk them at the tip if I can.
DD's buyers have got their survey being done next week and I'm just waiting to here when my buyers survey will be, although its not a problem as the EA agent has a set of keys so i don't have to stay in for anyone.
We are hoping we may be able to move by mid June early July if all goes well , fingers crossed maybe sooner.
Still eating from the freezer and its slowly going down
Right, onwards and upwards chums

@london1 wouldnt it be great if you could be mobed that quickly and enjoy some of the summer on the Isle of Wight.
I have managed to take 14 glass jars and lots of fabric up to club for craft group and pile of magazines to a have gone to a neighbour. I took a ring binder to singing group to hold all their paper work as well. I also had 3 books for my sister and 2 photo albums for my brother but forgot to take them to my big sisters funeral so they are still on the house along with a hat left by grandaughter. So they will lrave another day.
I have also sanded down 2 stairs. Only another 14 to go! I think I will varnish rather tban paint them this time because we have to repaint every 3 years because of the wear and tear.
Counting whats left the house as another bin bag.
All the family are coming here for easter there will be 11 of us. 4 of them are staying with us whilst the others are renting a place just up the road. Good morning. Hugs to all who need them. I have been reading along but haven't kept track of what I wanted to reply too.
The kitchen clean/declutter has continued.
Warning-spider trigger alert
Last year we had a problem with spindly spiders and they had started to reappear. On sorting the overflowing kitchen cupboards we could see there was a lot in the backs of the cupboards. On googliing these are cellar spiders. So all the back and kickboards have come off and DH removed over 50 spiders from behind/under the cupboards! This must definitely be where they were coming from. It's now cleaned out as far as we can see, spray coming tomorrow to make sure. All cupboards were emptied and cleaned and everything is going through the dishwasher before it goes back/leaves the house. It has definitely given me another reason to get the decluttering sorted, there was so much in those cupboards, I hadn't seen the back of them in years. The clear through will continue today before DH goes back to work.
We can now see what's under the sink and will work through all the multiples of things, why do we have 7 different Air fresheners!?!

Dfw38, congratulations on your weight loss 👏 I am hoping that S likes the hat, scarf & wrist warmers - we are delivering them on Easter Sunday as we have been invited for lunch 😊 It will be my first trip in the car 😉 Excellent work making overpayments on your mortgage 👏 It is a lovely feeling seeing the debt reduce & I agree with you “Every overpayment feels like a little victory and that we are sticking it to 'the man' 😂” We were fortunate enough to be able to make overpayments & paid off our mortgage several years ago 😊 The feeling of relief at not being tied down is immeasurable 😮💨 & you have that to look forward to 😊
Liverpool_Anne, I hope you did well on your list yesterday 😊 Knitting in the round is not a skill I have 😔 & although I am not a big fan of ‘sewing up’ I challenge myself to do as neat a job as possible 😉
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 & I have everything crossed that the stamp albums are suitable for & do well at auction 🤞 Good luck with your house hunting 🍀 & hopefully once Easter is over you will get a flood of viewers for your house 🤞
Nice to see you oceanspirit 👋 Sorry to hear that you have been suffering with fatigue 😔 although I am pleased to hear that both you & OH have/are recovering from your injuries 🙂 Excellent work by both you & OH in dealing with frogs 👏 A medal🏅 🏅 for each of you 🙂

Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 A Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for sailing past halfway to target 🥳
Dfw38, some excellent decluttering by your DDs 👏 A medal 🏅 for DD2 & also a medal 🏅 for DD1. Hopefully the more DD1 declutters the less strange the weather will become 😉

12/52 - a load of clothes packaging to the bin. My wardrobe is now ready to be mildew uncluttered before I return any washed, clean clothes. This exercise has also told me I DO NOT need to buy any new clothes for the forseeable but I am going to purchase a dehumidifier.14

I've been working this weekend so having an easy sort of day with tea and biscuits.
My frog is the pile of clothes that need redistributing. I'm going to order some labels for charity shops, post office the old bras and set a goal of listing five items every day I've got some time alone.
And not think about anything else until that's all ticked off 😅15 -

Timer is on & I have put the 2 jackets that will need waterproofing into wash. Once clean I need to set the wm going again with the waterproofing liquid. Washing finished & now wm back on with waterproofing liquid. Typically DSis came down with her washing, so is now sulking 😉
Florafauna, any chance of a picture of your newly made dress 🙏 Of course, the advantage of swimming like a labrador is that you don’t get your hair wet 😉 sorry, I will go & stand on the naughty step 😔
vulpix, sounds like you are building up a great wardrobe of cruise clothes 😊 What a lovely idea to sell unworn jewellery & get a new wedding ring made using the proceeds 🤩 Excellent decluttering 👏 Sorry to hear about bit by bit being unwell. I am sending positive thoughts & get well wishes to bit by bit for a speedy recovery + 💐 & cwtches 🤗
Muddy_Walker, hopefully the extra sleep is recharging your batteries & you will start to feel better & stronger soon 🤞How lovely that your dogs are taking care of you 🥰 Pleased to hear that the leaks have been sorted & the dire tv has been watched 😅
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊 Interesting info - I never knew that about taking blood pressure readings 🧐
Back later to finish the cheerleading 🙂
