Afternoon all, hopefully just teething problems with the new job queenjess 💐.
Been a productive day today; took 2nd dd to a birthday party and spent over an hour talking to a school mum who has become a true friend over the past year (my only - can tell everything to- friend.) We don't see each other much as she went back to work after mat leave in January so it was good to catch up, moan and laugh!
The 2 dds have done really well with a quick declutter of their bedroom. 2nd dd is the more ruthless one but eldest dd has let go of some books and some dolls and a couple of cuddly toys. This is unheard of and may be why there is such strange weather today! We have 2 large bags for the cs and I have a few bits to sell.

I managed to do some crafting yesterday - sold the makes at today's table top sale - we raised £600.35 for SA funds.
Tired now as I got to SA at 7 and left after 3.
Been asked to put together a choc filled mug for a friend - may do that after getting changed - help me stay awake.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Have decluttered 3 metres of fabric into a lovely dress for the summer. Very pleased with how it looks. Cutting out a tunic tomorrow using some cable jersey. Got rid of some energy this morning as I was taught how to properly do the breast stroke with the correct breathing. Very pleased as previously I've swum like a labrador with my head out of the water. Have treated myself to some goodies from the snag sale18

Mr V came home from work, had lunch and fell asleep for 3 hours. In the interests of keeping quiet I tried my new trousers. Fab. I also tried an evening dress I bought last year for £5 from fb. Bnwt. I have bought a sparkly shrug £7 from fb today. Looks great. Of course I am altering the dress. It has a strange silver embellishment on the front. Also taking off the unnecessary ties from the back. Cruise clothes. To keep myself entertained I went through my bedside drawers. Out, a book mark, never used and a silk jewellery pouch. I have put together some gold jewellery and some diamonds in a bag. I am going to sell it all and have a new wedding ring made. The diamonds are from 3 engagement rings. There is also an opal bracelet and earrings that I have never worn.Next went through the craft drawers in the spare room. Out 3 baby knit pattern books and a pillow I washed that went lumpy. I was going to save it for stuffing. Nah.I have brought one of my bird tables in the house to dry out. It fell over in a storm and broke the top. I will see if I can fix it with some bits of wood from the shed. It needs new feet too as they have some rot.Football on now. Not doing much for me. I’m off to find something to do from the craft drawers. I will make bit by bit a crochet blanket. She has been very ill but I will let her tell you all about it when she is better.Vx:21

Hellooooooo
Apart from the odd bit of reading I have slept solidly the past couple of days. I also have to keep a record of my blood pressure and have always used my left arm…….tried the right one straight after today and there was a marked difference. Since my stroke I’ve always been a wee bit weaker on the left side. Of course it could be complete coincidence 🤣
the dogs are still being nursemaids…..all their toys are outside so dog2 kindly gave me one of my trainers….. bless.

Reading along, Nannywindow brilliant news re discharging nurse, keep in tlc carriage for a while
Muddywalker yes its apparently good to use both arms and if getting tested for some things in hospital they will use ankles as well to see flow in each leg. Interesting how bodies work
Bitbybit hope you are on the mend
Oceanspirit glad to hear you're both getting over the prang
Hugs to all

@Florenceem - you are really raising a lot of money for the SA. Proud of you.
Hope the poorlies get better soon - including me - the doctor says I have sprained a back muscle, probably moving boxes of books or the carts. Taking it easy this week. Instead went to a meeting of the Friends of Libraries in this county with a couple from another county. Learning what they do to raise money for the Library. Amazing how different ways work.
Not much decluttering this week as one of roommates had to go help clean out his aunt's house and brought back several walkers and a riding cart. Will see if any of them help our limpy group here, then pass the others along. At least three of us have leg problems at the moment.
Will be having a couple of ultrasounds next week - leg and neck. Wonder if the could do them on the same trip, will have to ask. Trying not to drive anywhere if I can help it as still seeing double if both eyes are open. As soon as I get in a car, the left eye automatically closes now - even if I am a passenger.
Did get half of refrigerator cleaned out. And more decluttered from the kitchen. But not done yet. Starting new box of books to go, aiming for at least a box a week.
Our weather has been weird here also. Day started out with rain, but the sun has come out now. Rain was predicted for Sunday. Just off a day unless we get more tomorrow. We don't usually get any rain this time of year. Feel sorry for people who come expecting sunny California.
Have a good week if you can.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Yes, I did avoid the decluttering & cleaning yesterday by knitting the fingerless wrist warmers/mittens 😅 see pic
Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise. DSis did the wu on Saturday morning & I have dupa. No milk delivery this morning as when I added a request for eggs I accidentally cancelled the milk 😔 The online ordering system is a bit unwieldy 😔
Saturday is yet another overcast day although the sun is attempting to break through 🤞 DH has packed an overnight bag as he is heading off for the Round Britain Rally starting event. Entrants meet up at a cafe & have brunch & a gossip 😁 on the Sunday. Too far for DH to get there early enough so he is stopping overnight at a pub B&B.

Would you Adam & Eve it - 12:40 & it is sleeting 😞 but only for a few minutes 🤔 Started knitting another scarf. DH left @ 15:45 & phoned about 3hrs later - from his room. I watched several old episodes of Father Brown. I used half of the leftover bolognaise sauce to make a cottage pie (added peas) accompanied by spinach sautéed in oil & garlic. Wudupa.
Great decluttering vulpix especially using up craft stuff 👏 Relieved to hear that MrV finally has a date for his op. Good luck to MrV for his weight loss 🍀 Sounds like you will be very busy in the garden 😉
