Did a tip run yesterday; not much, but it was in the way. Finally emptied the large plastic bin that still held husband's clothes. He had put some clothes in the new wardrobe, but not all. I took all his clothes out from both the wardrobe as well as the bin, folded the lot, put like with like, and put it back in the wardrobe. It's a tight fit. According to him, all the clothes in the bin could go, but in my sort-through I found lots of plain black T-shirts, nice work shirts, and such. They are in the wardrobe now.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5920

Health decided to start decluttering itself…..not been right for a while besides the usual so finally made an appointment with the dr and she thinks my BP medication is too high. So we have cut one tablet out and I’ve just had blood tests done for various other things.
she has also signed me off for 2 weeks and I wasn’t looking forward to telling my new boss but she was thrilled!! Told me to rest, if I need any more time off let her know.
what a difference to the old TB!!!!!!
so I did plan on plonking my bum down and watching some dire tv…..but there is a leak under the kitchen sink so hoisted everything out for hubby to deal with and did some decluttering there.
Will list numbers later.

Not so much decluttering and reorganising a load of stuff. I have a box for OH to sort - various half packets and random odds and sods from DIY and flat pack furniture. We have so much stuff. It feels relentless at the moment.15

Your finger crossing worked Mrs SD. My plumber didn’t make it but messaged me in the evening with an apology and he was here first thing the next morning. He’s back tomorrow morning to do the work so hopefully that will be all 3 leaks fixed and a fully functioning shower fitted. Money of course will be decluttered then. 🤣
As for DS1, there is a possibility of good news there but waiting for confirmation.
DS1 came over this afternoon and got the difficult curtain rail sorted. We now know how the rails are fixed – they’re screwed to the wooden pelmets which are in turn hung onto a couple of screws. So fitting the rest will be a doddle. While here he moved a lot of the heavy boxes around giving me a lot more workable space and also built the very large cat tree I bought as appeasement for the cats. Finally, when he went he took a lot of the damaged empty boxes as he has a cardboard collection day tomorrow. So I’m very happy.
So out today was half a dozen large boxes and I have 5 sacks of scrap paper out on my drive ready for my collection tomorrow along with 2 bags of garden waste.
Not a great amount but it’s cleared enough space to start on the next lot.
I also managed to declutter the decision about when to change the electricity meter. My supplier emailed me to tell me mine was out of certification – I think it was installed by Methuselah – so I’m down to have a smart meter installed on Monday morning. My only concern is that they take one look at what’s there and condemn the electrics! But hopefully that’s just me being pessimistic again.
@London_1 In France it’s a legal requirement to keep the house in the state of repair, including garden, as it was when the sale was agreed. And you also legally have to empty all of it – although, when I left I’d agreed with my buyer to leave lots of ‘junk’ that they could go through and decide if it was going to be useful.
Well done everyone on the sorting and decluttering. Hugs to those who need them and fast recovery to those in the TLC carriage. D

Hi all, better day today as I actually got some stuff out of the house
. The bedroom bin and bedroom recycling were emptied, 2 LDFPA, 4 bags removed from the rod were sorted but 1 has gone back in for another time, lots of things in it that I think are OH's so leaving it for now, so only counting 3. Bits put away or binned or recycled. 7 jigsaws put aside for when I next see friend who does them.
Tomorrow I am volunteering to help to set up a mosaic at my footy club. They have a charity legends game on Saturday so we are putting out cards to be held up before kick off in I of the stands. I think it will be quite a simple one this time, I have helped with previous mosaics that were very complicated but still about 12,800 bits of card to get in the right place. If I was counting steps I would more than have them done with all the walking up the stairs and along the rows
@Gers 3 years is the blink of an eye compared to how long I have kept stuff
@London_1 of course you need the gardener to carry on, not least because you don't want to be looking out of the window at a messy garden which will just stress you. I find all sorts of weird things that I think why did I keep that but on the subject of microwave plates I have 2 spare but they have been used, I have a microwave / oven and the original plate broke so before I got a replacement I used the spare. I bet you are also finding things that make you smile and send you off on trips down memory lane as well
@Florafauna I can relate to the work issues. When I retired I did miss the kids but the paperwork was such a drain on energy I couldn't wait to bin it all
@crazy_cat_lady good luck with the kitchen fitting
@Muddy_Walker big hugs and hope the change in medication does the trick. Take it easy and get well soon
@Brie I have heard those tights are really good but I have to admit I don't own a pair of tights of any brand, that's how much I hate them
@dND when I moved into this house I had cloth covered wiring and round pin sockets. I only had 1 socket with square pins so if I wanted to make a cuppa I had to unplug the tv as I didn't trust it to take a multi socket. The electricity board had to fit a new meter but they weren't in the least interested in the wiring in the house, only responsible for up to the meter they said. Things might have changed now though.
Ok off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one

@dND as others have said the electric company are only responsible for the wiring up to the meter. When I had my smart meter installed the engineer discovered some ‘non-standard’ earthing (it was earthed twice below the meter and he wasn’t sure which was actually doing the earthing). Anyway he put a call into UK Power and they were out later the same day to have a look. Unfortunately the could t fix it that day and I nearly ended up running from a generator over night as they planned to re divert power. Unfortunately the nearest generator was the other side of the county. After promising faithfully not to fiddle with it overnight they rescheduled the engineers to fix it the next morning. As the ‘non standard’ earthing fad been like that for at least 40 years they took my word we would t fiddle around and it was low risk for one last night.Despite that it was all very smooth and they weren’t in the slightest bit interested in my house wiring.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
