Umm... I may need to have a rethink over target as today has been a VERY productive day. just watched JUst Mercy on Iplayer after @Liverpool_Anne mentioned it. Its a very good film and defienitly worth watching. Absolutely awful how these poor people on death row have been treated.Other that that I have been to work and been a taxi driver for my DD. Also, took 3 books to the village telephone box come book swap. and added 2 jumpers and a couple of pieces of jewelery to the CS bag (which is sitting under the stairs!) DD got one of her mock results back and got a 5, we are so happy she only started working on her GCSEs in September after having practically no education for the previous 4 years. Still waiting for some others, but it has given her a real boost♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Hi all, lots of sorting out today but not much left the house. In fact nothing except money as I had to go to the sm
. All put away including easter egg for OH hidden in the wardrobe
My sis phoned today, mainly to see how OH had got on with the nurse, she rarely wants to chat to me
but we did chat a bit about decluttering when I told her I was sorting through some clothes. It turns out she is doing the same as she has realised she has far too many. She was gifted a lot of clothes from my niece when she went to the Caribbean, a lot of big name brands as dniece worked in the sort of place and job that sort of needed them. I suggested she try them on vinted as they are in very good condition. I did notice when I was staying at dsis's that the house looks tidy, with a few too many ornaments for me, but the cupboards were crammed
. I am hoping she manages to sell a few things as I know this will motivate her. I don't have those sort of clothes
. Anyhow 1 shirt into the cs bag, 2 more body lotions put to one side for ln, 2 nail polish and an unused lip gloss put to one side to be passed to friends when I see them next. Quick whizz around and bits put in the bin or recycling and I did try to get in to my emails, still not easy but I managed to find a link to the new set up so that was ok. I was looking for a particular email as I need it to download something on my phone. Got it but not downloaded it yet, a job for when I am not so teched out
. A bit more knitting and that's all. The weather was dire today and it's very foggy right now but sun tomorrow they predict
@Mrs SD I love that scarf, the colour is one of my favourites
@Dfw38 well done on the mortgage overpayments. It took me years to cotton on to doing that but I recommend it to everyone I know now as it is so satisfying to get that mortgage paid off
@GrannyKate as you are paying for the photo software could you contact the provider and ask for help to download them? Or maybe ask for a reduction as you can't download them? Good luck with the stamp selling fingers crossed.
@elly68 you are going great gunsI wish I was as decisive, I love too many things
@~FlowerPot~ glad you liked the film, well done to DD on her exam result she must have worked very hard. I think they were the hardest exams I took as there is such a range of subjects, fingers crossed for the rest of themI
Off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I have done quite a bit of knitting - the hat is half done. DSis was ecstatic when she got back from her second hospital visit 😊 Her consultant (the same one from her last hospital stay) welcomed her with the comment “You look so much better than the last time I saw you” 🙂 He was very, very pleased with her progress & especially pleased that she has given up smoking 🥳 Dinner was home cooked fish in breadcrumbs, oven chips & peas. Wudupa.

Good Morning all, I think you are right Mrs SD I will definitely have to book more than one tip run.
DGS Ben will be home for a week on Easter Monday, and he will be my 'muscle' to move stuff. I definitely need the rest of the junk from the back of the cupboard under the stairs tipping
Plus I noticed on Tuesday at Dobbies they have a big bin outside which will take disused empty plant pots and I do have a good few of those in the garden so I will get them bagged up and drop them off.
My gardener who comes to cut the grass etc phoned me while I was on the IoW last week as he was due to return at the end of the month and said "I've just driven past your house and the 'Sold' sign is up !"
bless him he's such a nice chap and although retired last year, said he would keep coming this spring until I have moved. I said yes but do keep coming until I actually move.
I can't let the garden go to wrack and ruin for a matter of at most a couple of months, the new couple will have enough to do moving in, so I want it to look nice when I move out.
My friend said I was crackers, but then I just like things looking nice and tidy.
When I moved out of my previous house I spring cleaned it from top to bottom, and it was spotless for the new owners.
I have had Mick the gardener looking after the garden for the past 10 years and it would be a shame if it ended up looking untidy when I went.
More decluttering today, yesterday I found two glass plates for microwaves at the back of the cupboards that I can't even remember why I saved them as the microwaves are long gone !:)
I think I thought I'd use them as extra plates at christmas for dishing up food. but they went to the glass recycling bin along with some glass saucepan lids that the saucepans had also been disposed of.
Weird the things you find when rooting out cupboards, and think what on earth did I bother keeping that for
Ah well onwards and upwards it was a nice day yesterday for the first day of spring and due to be dry today at least then drizzly for the rest of the weekend.
Onwards and upwards chums
JackieO xx

@London1 I completely agree about leaving the house and garden nice for new owners. I'm still looking after our garden and even popping in some seeds so they will have summer tomatoes to look forward to. Myself and three friends cleaned our previous house as the removal men carried our possessions. One in sweep, one on dust, one on hoover and one on steam. To me it's just what you do by leaving it spotless. Not done much decluttering as have been trying out the TLC carriage this week. Work is lovely re the kids I work with but lots of hideous politics and protocols that are frankly awful.
Have a good day everyone21 -
Definitely not crackers jackieo, shows you're a lovely person. The attitude that its someone else's problem now you've sold speaks volumes. I'm like you, last thing out a house is the hoover and cleaning stuff
Sorry to hear your out of sorts Mrs sd, hope it lifts soon
Well done flowerpot to your dd for her results
Can't remember other things but well done everyone for continuing results, Liverpool_Anne love it that your sister and you are both decluttering without realising22: 3🏅 4⭐ 23: 5🏅 6 ⭐ 24 1🏅 2⭐ 25 🏅 🥈 Never save something for a special occasion.
