Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for the recognition - everyone here is tired of my efforts 😅
16+ bits of stuff decluttered to the Beavers pass the parcel. You know the multi packs of bits that you buy for party bags and always have a couple left over? Gone! No one can see it, but I know and it's GREAT.18 -
Just a few bits used up and some digital decluttering done today. I also neatly put back the next size up shoes for the kids into the cupboard - I had forgotten I hadn't put them back. They now fit in a box 1/3 of the original size, so it looks much neater in there.Digital:

I need to declutter myself to bed but I'm too tired and the cat is a furry hot water bottle 🐈⬛ definitely a lazy dayYesterday I started on the kitchen floor, realised the kick boards were grubby and ended up spring cleaning the kitchen with the exception of the top of the cupboards, I have bad balance to stand on steps (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)
Saturday afternoon I helped an elderly friend and finished up her blue badge request and declutter some other on line paper work and some heavier jobs she couldn't manage on her own
im not sure now my lounge is suddenly so messy today, piles of stuff everywhere so I'll start that tomorrow lunchtime as it annoys me and I have a visitor popping in Wednesday lunchtime and I would prefer she didn't see itLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin17 -
Decluttered about 30 plastic shopping bags, 1 puzzle, and about 60 books to the library Book Sale Friday. Only brought 1 book home for me from the sale - but also brought home 5 boxes of Little Golden Books for my nephew who collects them. They will be going to him a little at a time. The first 2 boxes will go at Easter. We made $465 at the sale. I am looking forward to the next one in April. We had this one inside - thank goodness as it was very windy.
Saturday I mostly rested from the book sale and worked on the indexing of the parish records. Sunday Di and I went to the Mystery Author's Luncheon the other fundraising group for the Library does each year. Three authors come and talk about how they got started, where they got their information for the mysteries (all true crime this time) and how they write. It was a lot of fun with a good lunch - and it was free for us as our Friends group pays for a table as a help for the other group. So 10 of us get to go free which was the ideal number as it included everyone who wanted to go. Today I have been decluttering papers and the regular trash as it is trash day. But I have decluttered a 6 inch stack of papers so far.
Weird weather here for California. This last week there was rain, hail, and thunderstorms. Then it was very windy for a couple of days and cool. Our mountains got a lot of snow. Today, even though half of the sky was blue, the rest of the sky was thunderclouds and we were getting very loud thunder with rain. Now it is clear but colder. Unusual weather for us. Don't trust the weathermen anymore.19 -
Good Morning chums, its Tuesday and rubbish and recycling day today soba's all ready to go out at 7.00 am on the dot. I will wave to nosy Nora as I do every week.I bet she missed me last week as I was away the IoW finding our new house.:)
I have two bags of recycling to go out, and three black bags of rubbish, the cupboards are getting seiously emptied as much as possible now.
Two of my upstairs bedrooms are cleared as much as possible.
I took a pile of tea towels to the local CS yesterday all clean and several unused .Because I don't own and have never wanted a dishwasher I seem to have accrued about 30 odd pretty good condition tea towels, often presents from friends that had been brought back from holidays
.I was talking to one of the assistants in the CS (I'm such a regular donator one the past few weeks, they all know I'm moving so we have become good friends) and she said if they're are in good condition bring them in there is a lady who goes in there who is always looking for material as she makes small shopping bags for sale to raise cash for an animal charity. So I sorted out about 15 at least virtually unused with pictures and slogans on from around the world and the CS lady said these were ideal. My DD has a dishwasher and I've kept enough for just to take with us. My tea towels will be made into shoppers and be recycled into a different life
I also turned out a coffee percolator I no longer used that went to the cs as it was in good working order but just stuck at the back the cupboard.. Every day I am turning stuff out to be bagged up for the CS.My grandson ben when he breaks up from his school job in London will be home for a week at Easter so I will book a tip run and the bigger stuff he will help me with to get to the rubbish tip.
This morning its coffee morning at Dobbies and I want to get a couple of books for my eldest great granddaughter this morning from there as they have some nice children books there She is 6 at the end of this month and loves reading so picking up some books for her there as well as seeing my friends at coffee morning will be just the job.
This afternoon I shall be tackling one of my chest of drawers in my bedroom which is stuffed with things I really know I will never use so more bags to get rid of .
Onwards and upwards chums its just gotta go

Rubbish day today for me too, so 1 black bag, a tiny bag of food waste and 1 bag of paper recycling decluttered.
I've also offered a friend a couple of new mugs and a couple of pairs of new socks.
People I know have bought me what I think of as the most outrageous socks and random mugs I would never use/wear.
I'm bit of a plain Jane with what I like and it hasn't caught on yet to people, but my friend has appreciated the socks in the past.
Hopefully she says yes to them, otherwise they will go into the charity shop bag.

18.03.2024DeclutterRecycling: 14Bin/Tip: 11Other: 2I used two cards from my stock pile instead of going out for more (I'm a hoarder for cards but these are quite niche so counting as a further 2 as they would have gone unused potentially)Digital DeclutterEmails: 1Photos:Charity / gifted to others11Today has been a mix of socks, a glove, button, old bottle of product and out of date pizza dough. It has felt good walking round and getting rid of things that have been sat there for a while, 'just in case'. Going to start on drawers and cupboards next, along with photos on my phone (I currently have 15,458 photos and videos to work through and organise).. that will be interesting and should boost the numbers significantly over the next few days.Total to date: 39/195619

I am going around in circles here, decluttering areas that I feel like I’ve just done …. But probably it’s been months and I just haven’t realised. The same jar of sweets that’s been there since Halloween obviously aren’t LO favourite or they would have been eaten, or DH would have helped out 😁
The medicine container had expired items so they are now removed. The bathroom drawer / cupboard under sink is now better organised in clear plastic containers so contents is visible, and a few more items out, mostly duplicates.
been through LO colouring books and a handful of full ones to recycling.
I am buying as much as I am selling on vinted but I think it’s needed as I don’t have that many clothes. For example I looked into project 333 but I don't even have 33 items of clothing so that won’t work for me. 🤔 maybe I can say I’ve completed project 333 😂
I am off to clean the kitchen. I may return later to keep myself motivated. Looking forwards to SYLO I think it’s on tonight?20 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for setting the timer for an hour before coming back 😔 I got distracted 😉 although I did spend an hour sorting out paperwork & did a bit of knitting. DSis went out & did a bit of shopping. She brought back a couple of pies for later in the week but I cooked them for Monday night’s dinner with mash
We started watching TV & I kept nodding off - woke up about 01:45 & decided to go straight to bed & leave the washing up. However pleasantly surprised that DSis had already done wudupa 🥳 I fell asleep within 5 minutes & apart from one bathroom visit slept through until 09:15 when I got up & dressed.
Tuesday is another overcast day 😔
Lovely post TC77 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & well done on your decision to offer items to DB & if not wanted pass straight to the CS 🥳 You are building up many good decluttering habits - no wombling, minimal CS purchases + interspersing decluttering with TLC time 😊👏 I hope you have planned for some time with friends during your week off as an antidote to all the decluttering 😉
ilovetea, nothing wrong with slowing down a bit on the decluttering 😊 Looking at your numbers you are well on the way to reaching your overall target for the year 👏 so a little time to breathe & relax before your next push on the decluttering is a boon 😊
dND, I went down a rabbit hole & discovered the less savoury versions of 5 fairy tales 😱 Thankfully you appear to have been awoken by the smell of freshly baked biscuits, cakes & pies 😁 or perhaps the hm soup & bread 🤔 I think you are being very hard on yourself especially as you appear to be doing everything on your own ‘wagging finger emoji’ Keeping everything crossed that the builders & repair people you have got in touch with will get back to you quickly & arrange ‘quotation visits’ 🤞 Once you have dates in the diary is there any chance that DS1 (or a male friend) could be with you? Quite cynical of me I know but ……. 😔 The outbuildings sound quite exciting - hopefully you will find a few treasures that can be sold to help with funds for the renovations 😉 An idea for breaking free from the loop - if you can clear some space in the outbuildings & put boxes in there it might make it easier to get the more urgent work done 🤨 Good luck with the vegetable growing 🍀 Just wondering if the cats are enjoying themselves as much as you in their new home 😊 Sending lots of cwtches & 💐
Florenceem, another very busy day & some excellent decluttering 👏 Pleased to hear that MrF is getting plenty of practice with his walking 😊
Will be back shortly as I am finding it hard to concentrate (no apparent reason - maybe just the miserable weather) 😔
