1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday is another overcast day & quite chilly. Up at 10:00 to find DSis had already had a bath 😉 I now have my 1st cuppa. The hat & scarf are now wrapped in tissue paper & in a gift bag ready to be delivered Easter Sunday (the 3 of us have been invited to lunch by DH’s niece S 😊) 11:00 & it has just come over all dark & has started to rain 😞 Now straight into cheerleading
Good decluttering Gers 👏 pretty mugs 🙂
London_1, more excellent decluttering 👏 I can see that DGS Ben is going to be kept busy 😉 hopefully he will also be a great help in decluttering the freezer contents whilst helping with the physical decluttering 😉 How lovely that your gardener (even though he has retired) is continuing to keep your garden neat & tidy until you actually move 😊 Not crackers at all - I agree with both you & Florafauna that it is a lovely thing to do & the new people who move in will have enough to do without having to clean before unpacking boxes 😊 When we moved out of our flat we had the whole place decorated in a neutral colour & cleaned so it was ready to settle into immediately 😉
Florafauna, what a lovely thing to do - sowing seeds & keeping the garden nice until the new owners move in 😊 Sorry to hear that work is being spoilt by politics & protocols 😔
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊 A great description of how I am feeling - “out of sorts” describes it perfectly 😉
elly68, pleased to hear that you are using mornings for decluttering & afternoons for friends 😊
Excellent work sorting out your husband’s clothing Siebrie 👏
Crazycatlady2, how exciting that the new kitchen has arrived 🙂 Hope you enjoy ‘ripping out the current one’ 😉
Muddy_Walker very sorry to hear that your “health decided to start decluttering itself” 😔 Hopefully now that you have seen the doctor & your medication has been tweaked you will start to feel a lot better 🤞Just goes to show how highly your new nice boss (NNB) thinks of you 🥳 that she wants you to be fit & well so has no issue with you being signed off 😊 Such a refreshing attitude so I am sending 💐 to NNB. Fingers crossed that DH managed to fix the leak & that you can now sit & watch some ‘dire tv’ 😅
Excellent decluttering Pennypincin 👏 especially the online decluttering 👏
bamboo_socks, sorry to hear that “It feels relentless at the moment” 😔 Hopefully as you continue your decluttering journey, this feeling will dissipate & you will be able to enjoy your cleared space 🤞 Please remember to pop into the TLC Carriage when the decluttering feels too overwhelming 🙏 Recharge your batteries, have a chat with your fellow declutterati & enjoy some of the goodies 😊
Brie, thanks for the information - I have now bookmarked snags & will investigate 🙂 Like you I “… hate hate hate tights normally.” 😉
dND, pleased to hear that your plumber is turning up today 🙂 Hopefully other tradesmen you find will be as professional - a message apologising for not turning up seems to be a rare thing nowadays 😔 Will continue to keep my fingers (& eyes) crossed for DS1 🤞Excellent decluttering both physical & tasks 👏 although I am ‘wagging my finger’ (I do miss that particular emoji 😞) at your comment “…. Not a great amount but it’s cleared enough space to start on the next lot” Hopefully the meter person will turn up early on Monday so that you can get on with your day 🤞 Re the information about selling a property in France, I remember how stressful it was at the time but overall & in hindsight I do think it is a good idea 🙂
Just breaking off from cheerleading to say that I opened up my one bit of post that was delivered earlier expecting to see a ‘thank you for your donation’ letter - only to be joyously surprised to find that I had won £25 in a PDSA Raffle 🥳🥳 I am beaming 😁
Liverpool_Anne, an excellent decluttering day yesterday 👏 Keeping my fingers crossed that today stays fine & that you & the other volunteers can get the mosaic at the footy club sorted quite quickly 🤞Although I did have a sharp intake of breath at ‘12,800 bits of card to get in the right place’ 😱 More wonderful cheerleading 😊
Very interesting florianatwobob 🙂 Very pleased to hear that you were treated like a grown up at the time 😉 Although I cannot imagine that you got much sleep that last night 😥
DSis has just headed off to the surgery & DH is up & about to watch MotoGP practice sessions. I am considering knitting a pair of fingerless mittens in the same colour as the hat & scarf 🤔 anything to avoid tackling the decluttering 🤣

Hi, popping in to update numbers. I have read but as usual can't remember everything.
Hope you feel better soon moorviews. I am having similar issues I think with bp meds. I have taken the same ones for over 30 years since I had eclampsia ,with no issue, until now!
I am ashamed to say I can't remember who, but your daughter doing well in her mocks, bloomin well done girl!
Bon voyage to holiday makers.
Hugs for all feeling poorly and fed up.xx
We got to see the consultant yesterday for Mr V's cancer. To give Mr V time to lose some weight the op will be in June at The Christie in Manchester.
Mr V at work at 5 am today. The guy he did holiday cover for the last couple of weeks has brought home a lurgy as a souvenir.
I have calmed down about moving but will get the house valued when the garden is looking it's best in June.
I intend to get in the garden for the first time this year. I was going to knock spots off ( as my Aunt used to say) but as a cold snap is on the way I will be less ruthless and just sweep up. I have bought a few perennials with Birthday money from my Mum. A few pom pom primulas and a purple aqueligia. I have quite a collection of things to plant out, plus a patio to lay. I still haven't decided where to lay the patio. Choices are in the gravel garden or up on the yet to be made top garden. I have decided to stop counting garden plants in my numbers as in my opinion you can never have too many, and they are outside like Mr V's electricals collection in the shed village.
Oooo, stop press, we asked on our thrift site if anyone wanted to swap our big black wheelie bin for a small one. Result, our neighbour did and within half an hour Mr V had met down the street and the transaction completed. We have 3 small bins now which suits my fussy, things have to look right gene. All have been swaps since we moved here. The council want £30 each to swap you a bin.
Scored myself some fancy pants trousers in Tescs sale for £5. Not tried on yet but they will be great fro a cruise. Think they were Christmas stock.
Made another couple of cat blankets and dropped off at the cat sanctuary, I have also knitted 3 baby jumpers and sewn a doll's skirt with stuff from craft stash. Also collected a bag of buttons, ribbons n shiz for someone at craft club to make twiddle muffs for people with dementia.
I am thinking that I would like to condense 2 chest of drawers in the spare room into one. They contain spare bedding and craft things. I was hoping to give one set to my eldest daughter who was saying she might come back to the mainland this year. Her partner has just applied for an amazing job there so they will stay longer if he is successful.

Haven't been on here for a few days.
On Tuesday Mr F managed to break the tea caddy - will use it until we go to H Bargains again.
A woman came with craft bits - I sorted a lot for the CS - still got more to go through.
Mr F took a trolley of stuff to the CS in the morning.
I got called in to be at SA in the afternoon as C and J were unavailable.. Mr F did another walk into town with more stuff for the charity shop.
Wednesday was friendship/lunch club - I think I hurt my back that day as in pain on Thursday morning.
Mr F took stuff to the charity shop and then went out delivering flyers for the table top sale.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Re Snags tights. I am impressed but have yet to try the 120 denier or the wool ones (bought for a late night excursion north of the artic circle)

Mrs SD - love the knitting.
Read all the posts so up to date now.
I woke up with Sciatica yesterday morning - I was walking hunched over. Mr F rubbed in Deep Heat and I took paracetamol. Decided that walking would help so went into town - called in community shop to see Ddil. Then I needed to buy colour catcher sheets so I could do some washing. I met Mr F in the charity shop - he was delivering a trolley of stuff to them.
After lunch Mr F went out to deliver the last of the table top flyers.
I managed to do some crafting.
I went to close up at SA as usual on a Thursday but our Ukrainian friends were making dough so we popped home and then went back. I had donations to sort out while I was there.
Mr F is really helping me with decluttering numbers as he is disposing of old clients paperwork and files.
My back felt better as the day went on but was hurting this morning. I took painkillers as I needed to sort crates of bric a brac for tomorrow's sale. The table top sale is a week early as the last Saturday is a Holy day.
Mr F made 2 trips to the charity shop today.
There will be Paska bread on sale tomorrow. The hall smelt good with all the baking that was happening.

Tomorrow I am volunteering to help to set up a mosaic at my footy club. They have a charity legends game on Saturday so we are putting out cards to be held up before kick off in I of the stands. I think it will be quite a simple one this time, I have helped with previous mosaics that were very complicated but still about 12,800 bits of card to get in the right place. If I was counting steps I would more than have them done with all the walking up the stairs and along the rows

@Liverpool_Anne @florianatwobob That’s what I think will actually be the case but my worrying mind doesn’t listen to common sense. 🤣
@Mrs_ Congratulations, what a nice start to Spring and I love the knitting.
More money decluttered today but I now have a shower that provides hot water and radiators and a loo that don’t leak. I’ll settle for that. 😁
More money is going out today too; this time on a couple of bulk purchases of cleaning supplies. One of my aims is to become greener and I started following Nancy Birtwhistle as she used bicarb etc. as I do but this time I will have a recipe to follow. I’m buying the bicarb and citric acid as food grade then they can be used in cooking as well. The grease in the kitchen is a millimetre or so thick in places but because of the roughness of the wood panelling I can’t use a scraper to remove it all so I’m really hoping I’ve bought enough to deal with it.
Garden waste and cardboard/waste paper collected this morning. Roll on 2 weeks time when the next batch can go out.
Apart from that I think I’m having a rheumatoid arthritis flare up. All joints ache and muscles are twinging too. It happened in France and they checked but couldn’t see anything and eventually it subsided but now it’s back. I’m having a few days of ibuprofen before bed to see if it calms, (and it helps with sleeping). If it doesn’t then it will spur me to register with a local GP. 😁 My mother had both osteo and rheumatoid arthritis so I’m a likely candidate.

Behind with posts but popped in as remembered 2 metal poles picked up by someone, nothing else going on but RL. Did get furniture moved around (.no lifting by me) and have reorganised things and love some small areas of calm. 53314

Slept like a log Mrs SD, no point fretting about the earthing when it had been like it all my life with no adverse effects. I did end up with the chaps actually upgrading the earthing (whilst working on live cabling) so I no longer end up getting static-y if I’m in that part of the room for any length of time;).On the subject of Snag tights….they’re having a warehouse clearance sale at the moment….✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
