Hello everyone! I've fallen behind on the thread again - cakes and blankets to anyone who needs them x
The home office isn't really my domain so under normal circumstances I would leave well alone. However, I had to order some more printer paper and bought quite a bit as we both get through it. I decided to have a bit of a declutter/tidy of the shelves it would normally live on, as I knew there was some stuff of mine to get rid of. Readers, I found 7 European adaptor plugs. Seven. Plus a couple of boxes of stuff that I have no idea if OH will ever use. Sigh.
I'm looking at getting big (5l) bottles of toiletries and refilling at home. Hopefully less plastic (I use solid soap, but am alone in this) and fewer bottles of stuff cluttering up the place.17 -
Back home from our travels and DSis and I have managed to declutter most of the washing. It’s now drying over the airer. We also (and are feeling quite smug about this) got the suitcases back in the cupboard and had a bit of a rummage through there and found some bits in the boxes which can go!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Been a very long couple of days at work (total chaos) and I'm very glad I only ever work 2 days in a row so I can catch up with the rest of my life. On Weds I not only packed up all the charity stuff, I sorted out all the recycling hanging around the house and put a big load of stuff in the loft (plus brought one thing out to get rid of... I always try to find at least 1 thing every time I go up there).House is weirdly not trashed after me ignoring it, so the clutter must be getting low now. Still found stuff to declutter whilst I had a tidy on Weds and whilst at work I've been decluttering paper as I often make temporary notes. Smallest bit of the cupboard under the stairs is looking good - just need to find some hooks to hang up in there now. I still need to tackle the coat bit of the cupboard and the shoe bit and make that better. May take quite a while..Recently I've been doing well on packaging.. I don't put it away when it comes in and just manage to fill it with charity or Buy Nothing things that go straight out of the house. It's very pleasingMy parents are coming round on Sunday... please everyone cross your fingers they don't bring too much stuff with them and undo all my workDigital:

Going to fall into a chair with a gin and tonic.Edit: After catching up on Weds on my day off, I have leek and potato soup with hm bread as well as flapjacks and hm mint choc chip ice cream available in the TLC carriage.2025 decluttering: 3,235🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Thursday - sunny day but rained after 19:00. DH planted up some potatoes & filled the bird feeders. I knitted several rounds of the complicated pattern scarf. DH finished his Chinese for lunch, I finished mine for dinner. Made mushroom risotto for DH & DSis. DH did half the washing up & I did the rest + dupa.

Friday is bright & breezy but cloudy. I was up & dressed by 09:45 - wonders will never cease 😉 Started raining 11:10 😞 & rained until about 15:30. I wrote a shopping list for DH who somehow managed to avoid the rain when he went to sm. Packed everything away. The only thing I did today was knit & nap. Dinner was bits from the freezer - DSis had pasta, DH had cottage pie & I had a bit of each. DSis had bought some strawberries so she & I had them with squirts cream 😋 Wudupa
Excellent decluttering TC77 especially the under-stairs cupboard 👏
Muddy_Walker, sounds exhausting 😩 Everything crossed that the PIP assessment outcome is favourable 🤞🙏
Excellent work clearing the table TC77 👏
daisy_1571, lovely post 😊
Excellent work TC77 👏
Florenceem, with all the work you had done on your house & the stupendous amount of decluttering you did, I am not at all surprised that you wouldn’t be moving 😉 Very pleased to hear that yDS turned up - even if it wasn’t on the actual day 😊 You must have been exhausted after such a busy Wednesday 😩
Excellent decluttering in DD2’s room charlies_tribe 👏 I am awarding both you & DD2 a medal 🏅 EACH
TC77, I believe in you 😊 Each time you find time to tackle decluttering, you are very successful 🥳 You work in waves - dependent on how busy you are at work & how many urgent frogs you have. Once you get going you are always successful 👏😊
Keep nodding off, so will catch up on the cheerleading tomorrow 😉

Morning all. I've been reading along but not much to post. Received final brochure from agent but no viewings yet. One place I quite liked but which was sold STC has come back on market so I am going to view it Tuesday. Lots of bungalows that come up have been empty a long time and seem depressing compared to my current home. I know I have to look beyond that.
316 Series of booked meetings all had to be rearranged due to clash Grrr. My own fault for not double checking.
317 Looking in on line contacts and realised there were quite a few corrections/deletions needed so done
318-321 Four clothing items to CS bag
322 Viewing booked for Tuesday
Children decluttered until Thursday so I should get on with things but probably won't.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hi all, woke for a bathroom break and it is light so I am awake now though no promises to stay that way
. I made a cuppa and thought I'd check in. Reasonable day yesterday in that I achieved what I aimed for. The plastic containers were sorted and 10 excess lids were found and recycled
. I also found some different containers. When OH got home I questioned these containers and it transpires they were bought by OH to use when batch cooking for the niece. I was not impressed as we usually have enough plastic containers to supply a local take away but these have been put in a different place so they don't get mixed up as the niece has returned some and the lids are not interchangeable with the ones we have. OH is now in charge of keeping them organised, I was not impressed
. 2 LDFPA and a pair of knicks and an elastic bandage thing into the rag bag. I didn't do any washing as OH had sent a text to say don't wash anything as OH had lost some keys and wanted to check the pockets. Rain forecast for later today so I might get a load of my things done and on the line in a bit. I did a big pile of ironing, counting as 2 because it was a big pile
. 1 t shirt into the cs rag bag
and lastly the lr bin was emptied again as OH continued to sort out some of the carp
. OH also sorted out 4 half bags of shopping left on the kitchen floor after I said I kept falling over them. They were the remains of some shopping OH had done to batch cook for the niece. I am claiming a point as I had to nag to get it done.
I am going to sort 1 of the small draws in my chest of draws today as I am not sure what is in there, I use the front few inches where my bras are and I know I have a couple of swimming costumes in there but it is full and I can't think what else is in there so I should be able to get rid of something, if I don't know what is in there I probably don't need it. Nothing else in the plan for today, let's see where the wind takes us
@daisy_1571 I can't see the link about the laundry lady, if you get a chance could you repost it please. I am always fighting to stay on top of it
@Vulpix I love that coffee pot and tea pot. I agree sometimes it is too hard to let something go first time around but when you get to it the second, third or hundredth time you know then it can go
. Good luck with the continual sorting at your Mum's house. What will you do with your brother's stuff? I would be tempted to pile it in 1 room and tell him it's there for him to sort out
but I know you are probably too reasonable to do that
@Muddy_Walker "socks with holes in the wrong places" so funny
@bamboo_socks thanks for the cake, maybe pump action dispensers would work. I use them for hand soap and shampoo, though I am also using shampoo bars but OH isn't that keen on them.
@Siebrie I also wear clothes until they are beyond repair which is why I am having so much trouble decluttering them
@QueenJess fingers and everything else crossed for the parent's visit
@Mrs SD good luck with the scarf. Are you quite well? I find I dose a lot if I am not 100% hugs.
@GrannyKate I think it can be hard to see past the decor of some houses and if they have been empty for a while they can feel depressing. I am keeping my fingers crossed you find one you love soon
Right off to put the washing machine on and get another cuppa. Hugs to everyone who would like one
399 plastic containers sorted
400 & 401 LDFPA
402 sunday knicks
403 & 404 ironing
405 kitchen floor shopping
406 lr bin
Take care everyone

@vulpix I think that those pots are not ‘kitchen items/coffee pots’, but ‘decoration/coffee pots and matching cups’; it’s a completely different category. I am convinced that if you change the white bird cage to, say, a green decorative plate, you would also change the coffee pot to match. And if you change your Asian-inspired cabinet to, say, colourful Latin-American, you would als change the coffee pot to match, and may even decide to get rid of the old decor, including the coffee pots. So, for me, they can stay as long as they make you happyAre you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5916

@vulpix I agree with @Siebrie that things can be in whatever category you like. I have quite a few jugs - I like them for some reason but classify some as vases/jugs and I have got rid of some vases instead of the jugs if you follow my logic. Moved things round in my wardrobes (I have three times as much space as I need but late DH had lots of clothes) - given DGS4 a whole double wardrobe for his things and there was space for spare duvet sets in another single wardrobe. Fitted furniture is very restricting really - looking forward to having space for an armchair in my new bedroom2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

daisy_1571 said:If anyone is struggling with laundry - particularly those with more people in the house - have a look at this lady. Its only 12 minutes long. I had assumed there's really only one way to do a family laundry but this is such a simple idea. I know some people just can't get past having to iron everything so the no fold part might not suit everyone but the actual laundry part might still be useful.
