Hi all
Sorry for going AWOL, RL got a bit stressful. I've enjoyed the chocolate cake in the TLC carriage
I had a lovely day on Sunday; DD1 treated me to a HM afternoon tea - very tasty. Some leftovers too so I had a free packed lunch in work yesterday and free cake for pudding when I got home from work. Before we sat down to our tea, we went to the tip! I got rid of a table top, metal shelves, old tiles, 12 tins of old paint, a rug, plastic bin and broken toys and a few other random bits - lots of stuff was cluttering up my garden after the shed demolition last May, yikes! Maybe I'll have a nice garden to sit in by summer....
Tonight i've got a tricky work meeting and will be very glad to declutter that
Love and hugs where needed or wanted

We out to a course at Church yesterday afternoon - had a meal there so no cooking for me but I had made 2 lots of Brownies with cake mixes that had been given to me so took those along for afters.
We didn't need to stay late for food delivery and not doing this evening as well.
Mr F had to go to the surgery today for his bandaging - heavy rain here until just now.
I went to SA - completed a DBS form there - had some lunch and came home.
I have made a Birthday card this afternoon so a couple of items decluttered.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Operation kitchen clean ground to a halt due to fatigue on Sunday. I am not surprised after how much I managed to get done on Friday and Saturday.OH wanted to go to the storage unit to do a tip run from there this week. I suggested that we finish clearing out here and deal with frogs first and luckily he has agreed that these are a higher priority due to deadlines.
Still using up tinned beans etc and should be up to date with them within the next few weeks. Still some dried goods and rice to use but am very pleased with the way things are going food wise. Paperwork still being chipped away at and still trying to breed - am so glad OH has agreed to help with frogs as it means there is a chance that they will actually get caught up if we both do some.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
Hi chums what a busy day we've had. I feel like Goldilocks
First one was nice, but needed an awful lot doing to it not only new heating system, but a possible rewire plus decoration, and it had not been lived in for over a year as it was a probate sale ,quite overpriced as well considering how much needed doing.
Second one was better but unsecured rear garden and at the top of a huge hill nicely decorated and a great improvement on the first
Third one was just rightplenty of parking for two cars plus a huge sized garage, good sized secure garden for the three dogs , good sized patio plus front garden, Nice three double bedrooms plus family bathroom and en suite for me. Good sized kitchen-diner plus 10 minutes from the beach. small shop around the corner on a quiet culled sac. My son-in-law and I looked at it first and he liked it I certainly loved it as it ticked all the boxes that we needed and DD really liked it as of all the details she had it was the one she had liked the most before seeing but hadn't said a word to either my son-in=law or myself so we could make our minds up .
We liked it so much we made an offer to the EA and he phoned the vendor ,there and then they accepted our offer and all being well its sold to us STC. which will help as we are cash buyers so don't need a mortgage.
The EA has already sent all the details through to our EA and solicitors in Kent so its now down to solicitors to sort out legal details ,but fingers crossed we hope to be moving by June at the latest if not sooner
I am so chuffed that we found a really nice place and we all said we felt it was a happy house with good vibes.
Now the real serious decluttering get going when we get back home on Saturday

Great news JackieO @London_1 - hope I am lucky and find somewhere. Sale board up when I got home this afternoon. A bit emotional really as 25 years is a long time and it was meant to be our forever retirement home but that wasn't to be. Too big for me and cut off from most activities I do and school runs need a car. I want to be less reliant on the car moving forwards. Complained about GHIC card not arriving and it turned up the next day having been in post two weeks.
306-311 Six books to CS bag
312 Looking for something and filed a pile of stuff away at the same time
313 Fridge tidied and cleared out - most things ok to use still
314 Several small frogs dealt with
315 ID taken in to Estate agents
I am trying to look at things round the house from the perspective of how much will fit into less furniture. Meeting in the morning so will check papers - think I will take laptop then I needn't print them out.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Jackie, how fab, and good luck to others in the decluttering and moving.
I've booked an EA to come round next week to advise what I need to do before putting on the market. I am v embarrassed about the state of the house but on leave from Friday so need to get my back together..I do feel I'm getting to a more difficult level as could use most things
Nothing sold at weekend but items picked up which I think counted already.
Mrs SD in awe of you keeping up and us all motivated! Thank you.15 -
JackieO, thats amazing, it can't be easy to find a house that ticked all the boxes AND that all of you felt was just right. Thats SO good. You will return home with renewed enthusiasm to declutter. ENjoy the rest of your rest x
