@tibawo thanks for the prompt on the time it takes to do a frog. I did one. It didn't take long at all so that's the ESA form filled in.
I'm really at my wits and have planned to hand in my notice. I have the funds for the next 15 months before my SP kicks in.
Not really getting things decluttered here at all, when in reality there is plenty to go.
This week is plastic counting week which we have signed up for. We did this last year and what a surprise at the amount there was and there is only the 2 of us. Not sure what I am hoping for in our results this year, more, or less?
Have a good week Peeps

On the declutter journey since 2023 with Mrs SD. Tilly Tidy since 2023.18 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday was an even lazier day than Saturday 😔 It rained all day but muddy as our back garden was, DH reckoned the canal towpath was even muddier on their holiday 😱 Up very late - 11:45. Watched TV, napped - never did a frog 😔 made an almost full roast beef dinner (had forgotten the parsnips) with roast potatoes & carrots, Yorkshire puddings, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots + DH made gravy. Wudupa. DSis & I watched Crufts + the semi final & final of Dancing on Ice - shame there was no Greg 😔
366 - 369 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 plastic pots - recycled
370 - 371 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Monday & I was up slightly earlier 11:20 - not raining but very dark & overcast. Update on DH’s niece G - she & E have put in an offer on a bungalow although they are still looking at a few more 😉 We have been invited to her sister M’s 60th birthday party 😊 Ashamed to say that DH & I had forgotten & had booked a motorcycle trip (with fellow motorcyclists) to Germany. DH has already cancelled the holiday as there is no way we are missing M’s party 😉
P.S. just wondering if anyone else is having issues with MSE? It is extremely slow even just turning the page & also keeps timing out although, fingers crossed 🤞, not logging out 😮💨
Liverpool_Anne, very pleased to hear that you are starting to feel better ❤️🩹 A very busy Saturday 👏 & I see that OH had a busy Sunday planned 😉 Ironing? what’s that when its at home 🤨 As to Crufts - DSis & I love watching both the Flyball & the agility competitions 😊
GrannyKate, love the tale of the chocolate Labrador 😊 Shame that DS2 & DGCs didn’t quite make enough goodies to drop off a sample to the TLC Carriage 😉 Great work dealing with potential frogs immediately 👏
Florafauna, fingers crossed that your viewers put in a full price offer 🤞 Great decluttering 👏
2Scratters, sad to say, I think QueenJess has been trying the ‘persistence method’ with DH for years 😉 with only a once in a blue moon success rate 😔
vulpix, I am loving the conversation about Labradors especially the ‘zoomies’ 😊 “Mobile gazebo disco” at Florafauna’s place 🤔 sounds perfect 🤩 Lovely post & although I like the idea of a private sale, I think I might have been too scared to go that route 😟😉 Hope today’s hospital visit goes well 🤞I will wish you an early Happy Birthday 🥳 as I will almost certainly forget tomorrow 😉 Love the look of the spoon - looks quite deep 😊
Brie, it was me 😉 “Elements” might not have got through to the Flyball final but hopefully it was some consolation that they lost to the eventual champions 🤞
Lovely to see you JingsMyBucket 👋 although very sorry to hear that you have been so unwell 😔 Hope you are fully recovered now 🤞 Some excellent work & very impressed that you tackled such a huge frog 👏 One medal🏅 is coming your way 😊 I hope you can find some time for rest & relaxation during your ‘staycation’ 🙏 Congratulations on your epiphany “Sometime on Friday night I lay in bed realizing that "I just don't need those clothes anymore. I can just let them go."” 🥳
Enjoy the student disco Florafauna 💃 Very brave to let a ‘young person’ do the djing 😉
Excellent work on the continuing challenge of too much children’s clothing QueenJess 👏 Thank you for the reminder about ‘new storage’ being the very last step in the decluttering journey 👏 I for one think it is quite fun to find a storage solution that I already own 😅 especially as I really dislike any form of shopping (for myself) 🤣 Everything crossed that your persistence will pay off & DH will FINALLY have an epiphany re decluttering his stuff 🤞
Muddy_Walker, I have a hard time working out how the judges reach their decisions at Crufts 😉 especially within each category when quite often it looks like they are trying to choose between apples & oranges 😂 Like you I am surprised that the Jack Russell didn’t win 😉 Good luck with your PIP assessment 🍀
ilovetea, sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit grotty 😔 Hopefully an improvement in the weather will help you feel better 🤞 Some great decluttering & still way ahead of target (426 on 11th March) 👏
Brambling, fingers crossed that you managed to get all 10 years of archived emails decluttered 🤞Tidying your craft drawer is the second step to decluttering, as you have already taken the first step by recognising you are SABLE in craft supplies 😊 Good luck with your freecycling 🍀
Florenceem, another very busy weekend 😥 I hope that after your giddy spell on Friday & a very busy couple of days that you managed to get at least some rest yesterday 🙏 If not please, please try to get some rest today 🙏 the TLC Carriage is always open & I am hoping that you will spend a couple of hours in there today 🤞😊 Congratulations to both DGS J & DGS S 🥳
I have come to a complete standstill as MSE Forum has completely collapsed …. but only for 2 minutes 😉 Hopefully someone has put the plug back in properly 😂
TC77, sounds you fell victim to the ‘issues’ re MSE server 😔 First things first - a Belated Happy Birthday 🎂🥳 I hope you had a lovely day & that both your DDs spoiled you rotten 😊 Some excellent decluttering & you are charging towards your target for a gold star 👏
I spoke too soon 😔 as the MSE issues still not resolved 😔 I will therefore stop cheerleading for a while & attempt to post - wish me luck 🍀

I have been having - time out - messages.
Went to Church yesterday - lovely Mothering Sunday service. I volunteered along with another mum - we were dressed in the roles that a mother does - all at once!
Pots of flowers given to us - I don't do flowers or plants so gave away to a neighbour.
I received 4 cards in the post and my Dd M visited with A my Dgd. I was spoilt with my favourite goodies
Surprisingly my youngest son didn't call by - never missed a Mother's day visit before.
I did have a rest after Church - nearly nodded off at the computer.
Mr F has been awarded Attendance Allowance - a great help as shoes for him cost nearly £100. He walks a lot so well fitting shoes are a must. Mr F fell over in Church yesterday - tripped over a chair leg.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Well arrived safe and sound although the journey was fraught with a lot of low-lying mist and fog this morning, and horrendous road works where the M25 junction 10 turn off for the A 3 to Portsmouth is.
But I'm sitting in our holiday house at Bembridge looking out at the sea and the lifeboat station almost opposite, and DD just made me a delicious hot Chocolate, not long before the end of Lent and I can resume my the drinking
Tomorrow we have four houses to look at and fingers crossed by the weekend we will have found the one we want.
I wondered why it was running slow I thought it was just me and my 8 year old Mac laptop but it is rather sluggish.
Son-in-law is cooking dinner tonight and we are having chicken as we stoped off at Ryde and picked up some supplies. The dogs are so excited and DD will take them for a run on the beach shortly as they have been so good on the journey down. Spring is definitely on the way here at least .Hopfully we will be here permanently by the summer and settled in

I haven't been on here for a while as have been feeling very ropey. I got double vision the other night with dizziness and vertigo and called an ambulance as this has happened before a few years ago. The ECG was fine and they didn't think it was a stroke. My GP saw me the next morning. I did say I have had 2 colds in a row (I think it may have been 3!) and I thought I might have an infection. I thought the double vision might have been from a migraine. He gave me antibiotics and migraine meds and has referred me to a neurologist too. I did say last time the paramedic told me to get my eyes checked as well so I will do that after I finish the antibiotics course. I am on 8 tablets a day!
I'm feeling okay, but just taking it easy at home and trying to reduce screen time drastically as I know the blue light can cause migraines.
I have done a bit of decluttering. I went through all my skin care and am using different lotions as I am at home and not wearing makeup so I thought I would try some out. I went through my pet cupboard and threw away some old bowls we never use and repurposed baskets around the house to tidy it all up. I did go through my wardrobe and put my Spring clothes to the centre ready to go. I can hope!

Evening all, well the weekend was not much fun. Dh has been a right pain in the rear end pretty much since he finished work on Friday. Thankfully he has a few things on during the evenings this week, so hopefully my aggravation will subside by the weekend coming. We get on quite well normally, been together for 24 years but recently it has been more challenging. One-of my friends said that it could be the beginning of the end as we both sound really unhappy which makes me feel sad just thinking about it.
I did some garden clearing on Saturday and had 2 trips to the tip today to get rid of most of it. Another trip planned on Wednesday to clear the stuff I sorted and will have another bash this weekend if the weather is good. Ds birthday this week so some more bits in. Going to spend a couple of days in the tlc carriage and see if I can summon enough energy and motivation to get through the next few days. Huge hugs to all.2024 decluttering Campaign
