As there are three of us involved and buying a house and we have four viewings a day this week, we decided that each of us will give the pros and cons of each property and the reasons why, and will decide by Friday which one it will be. Its going to be a totally mutual decision as we are spending a fair amount of money and will live (in my case at least ) for the rest of my life.
Luckily we are have more or less the same ideas
a reasonable size garden (DD has 3 dogs)
parking for two cars
slightly rural if possible
4 bedrooms
two bathrooms
so not insurmountable Our budget is fairly healthy as we have sold both our houses.
I'm sure by Friday we will find something suitable. I can't wait to move now .WE have been mulling it over for the past 4-5 years and now its finally coming to fruition and we are all keen to go.
I woke quite early this morning and i'm just having my first cup of coffee, then I will take one of the little dogs for a wander down t the beach for a walk it's only about 100 yards away and its mild this morning .
Hope everyone has a good decluttering day.

Morning All, I too was awake by 6am, back in agony from sleeping position, thankfully has eased a bit now. Torrential rain here at mo.
Busy couple of weeks, some good news is that I have a new job. The job I applied for weeks ago, well I had the interview last week and was successful. It is a internal role and a promotion for me, though no line management responsibilities. Weekend was busy with a free craft workshop for DD and a lovely spontaneous visit to meet my Mum on Sunday. Weather was ok and nice day walking, mooching around shops, picnic outside and afternoon tea in a railway carriage at a garden centre. It was lovely.
Better force myself up and crack on with the day.

All the best @London_1 in your viewings. The list sounds entirely achievable17

Nothing much to report in. Already irritated by Estate Agent on Day 1. Details posted before I saw them (sil saw them and told me) - things missed out. They had promised I could check them first. They wanted me to sign a contract but I have already signed one. Anyway ECP booked for next week along with MOT for car. Need to wait in until 10ish so trying to do some jobs.

MSE has been awful for me for a few days so I finally gave up and got way behind. It was reminiscent of the torture of being on dial up for an internet connection.Just quickly then! Congratulations @Florafauna on getting your house offer. Congratulations @Fizz2015 on the new job. I hope that one of the four houses proves to be the perfect one @London_1. Hugs to everyone in need, feeling poorly and/or taking refuge in the TLC carriage. I did put a chocolate cake in there at the weekend so please do tuck in. Take care of yourselves everyone xx17

Hello
Please could I join this challenge? A bit late to the game as I can see it started in the new year but we’ve already made a start and feel this challenge will help keep me motivated when the initial hit wears off.I’d like to work by areas in the home, of which there are 14 🥹
Already started on area 1, which includes declutter and a little decorating / renovation. That should be complete this week and will be ‘signed off’ with a spring clean.I hope everyone has a great week 😀18 -
Hi all, well I have been up since the crack of sparrow legs this morning waiting in an online queue for footy tickets for an away game. I didn't get one, after waiting one and a half hours they were sold out. Such is life, just glad I was able to have a cuppa but I am shattered after a busy day yesterday when we went to the good garden centre, about an hour's drive. We chose an apricot tree which is a bit unusual but OH was swayed by it being in flower while I was impressed that it is self fertile and on a small root stock so will fit in their space. It is also supposed to be a prolific fruiter so I hope they like apricots
. We also picked up some pretty primroses and a few packets of seeds for them to plant
. We then took them to friend's house where her son can pick them up from. We could have taken them to her son but his fiance wfh and has quite a high pressure job, very good salary but high pressure, and didn't want to disturb her. I also took my friend 6 jigsaws and a bundle of walking magazines that I thought she might like, she was very pleased to get them so win win
. We had a lovely catch up but didn't get home until tea time. After tea I emptied the kitchen recycling, ordered my meds and deleted 100 emails. The kitchen looked like a bomb site after OH's batch cooking on Sunday and I studiously ignored it. OH did clear it after tea rather than leaving it for a week. I just don't know why it's not done as you go along, what I do when I batch cook
. I checked the kitchen this morning and although it's still a bit messy it is generally slowly getting better so something must be registering with OH at last
.
Not sure what I am going to do today, probably at least 1 load of washing. The weather is currently nice but rain forecast so we shall see
@number_23 welcome aboard, you are very welcome to join at any time, the more the merrier. Good luck on your journey
I have caught up but my brain is full of wool and I don't want to risk losing the post so hugs to anybody who would like one
375 - 380 jigsaws
381 bundle of magazines
382 kitchen recycling
383 100 emails permanently deleted
384 meds ordered
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning my fellow declutterati 👋 I was up & dressed by 10:20, came downstairs to be greeted by DSis & a dark, wet & miserable day. Yesterday’s forecast of 85% chance of rain has proved correct 😉 DH was supposed to be meeting up with ex work colleagues who played cricket but had obviously looked out the bedroom window, seen the rain & has decided not to go 🙊 I think he had enough of rain on the boating trip 🤣 Fingers crossed that the issues with MSE have been sorted 🤞 so far, so good 🤞
London_1, I agree with Florafauna that your list of requirements definitely sounds achievable 😊 & viewing 4 houses a day will hopefully mean that you at least have a couple of suitable choices 🤞Being a bit cheeky now - don’t forget DGS request for a ‘growing area’ in the garden 🙊😉 - I will go & stand on the naughty step now 🤣
Congratulations on your new job Fizz2015 🥳 Sounds ideal - same company, a promotion & no line management responsibilities 🤩 What a lovely weekend 😊
Florafauna, totally agree 😊
GrannyKate, an ignominious start for your EA 😔 Hopefully you can get the listing pulled, amended & put back up quickly 🤞
Moorviews, at least “the torture of being on dial up for an internet connection” came with sound effects 😂 Sorry, I will stay on the naughty step 😔 The chocolate cake was delicious 🤤 thank you 👏
Of course you can join us number_23 😊 Welcome aboard the EDT & do pop into the TLC Carriage for a chat - there is some delicious chocolate cake 😉 It is never too late to join our Declutterati Family & I am very pleased that you found us 😊 Sounds like you have made a good start & I am looking forward to following your decluttering journey 😊 I have made a note of your counting method (just to help me make awards through the year 😉) & look forward to getting to know you a bit better 😊 Wishing you a great week 🥳
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that you didn’t manage to get tickets 😔 Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday 😊 Busy but satisfying & enjoyable 😊 Well done ignoring OH’s mess in the kitchen, that deserves a medal 🏅 which is on its way 😉 I am with you on doing the washing up, tidying etc as I go along - the only time a small kitchen proves to be a boon 🤣 I must confess that when you mentioned that OH was batch cooking whilst you were out, I was hoping that he would have the kitchen tidied by the time you got home 😉 ever the optimist 😂
Cwtches to all 🤗 Still raining & the back garden looks like a quagmire 😔 but at least DH has put in an appearance 😅

Still working slowly on emptying the kitchen which for some reason involves swapping round stuff in 2 rooms and putting stuff in the loft and shed 🤣
The second picture is just what I found in one place so I had to order a second storage case 😱 sends my eyes funny so just doing a bit at a time.... hopefully finish tomorrow
