Operation tidy and clean started when OH left yesterday. Meals for the weekend are already prepped and just need reheating so I can use my energy for getting on with tidying etc.
Next 3 soft toys are in the washer. An email sent that was becoming a frog but I realised that it didn’t have to!I don’t think living room will be fully tidy by the time guest arrives but I have done enough for them to be able to sit down.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅15 -
I have been watching Crufts too. I have been in the past, it was on my bucket list ( before bucket lists were invented). The other things on that list were walk across Kinder Scout, done and own a white 5 series BMW,not done. In the mid 80's I had what was then a very rare chocolate labrador called Rolo, people were skeptical that she was a lab. She was the most beautiful but thick as a brick dog you could meet.
Good luck with the house viewing Florafauna, I worked at a local school too. I would never go out locally for a drink so I didn't bump into parents.I have been left 10 years, tradesmen pop up now who I knew when they were small. Usually 6 footers with beards!
Mr V is feeling a little less anxious. His GP phoned last night and apologised. Very nice of her but not her debacle to apologise for. Thank you everyone for your support. We will see how we get on when he sees the consultant in a couple of weeks.
Omg. Mr V went to see his mate. He came home with 30,yes 30 knives, forks and spoons. A very well known company is renewing their stock and this unused cutlery was destined for one of 3 skips full. They are beautiful and have wrecked my carefully crafted decluttering numbers! To counteract I have bagged up some things in a sweep of the house for the cat sanctuary car boot sale.
in. 94. Mr V bought himself a rugby top
out.220.
includes a pair of socks,3 books, bras, top, phone case, cheese dish and a decorative Easter carrot dish, Mr V broke, not entirely sure it was an accident. Haha.
I am not going to continue counting stuff Mr V acquires that lives in his shed village. He has come home today with a gazebo and some disco lights that he will sell on. He is out there now tending to Arkwrights shop.
I am putting together another to do list for next week, Hopefully find a few more things to go along the way.
Take care all Vx:21 -
I'm really appreciating my new Tues-Thurs work pattern. It's lovely having a long-weekend every weekend. I'm usually pretty tired by Thurs though as I cram a lot in over the 3 days and have a class on Zoom on Thurs from 7:30-9:30pm - it's really not the best time for me so I might change it for next module.
The sunshine yesterday galvanised me and I did some cleaning / decluttering of the decking area. This morning I have spent some time going through papers - notes etc - They are still my clutter nemesis!
I need to declutter a couple of kilos. I've put on 2kg over the Winter and feel quite bloated - mostly due to inactivity. I need to do something about that. I don't think it'll take too much to make a difference but I need to get started I made it to the gym the other day but even though I took it very easy I still managed to "pull something" 🤦♀️! So I think I'd best stick to walking until I feel better.

Couple of more items gone on vinted… probably could get a little more but i told myself i need to price to sell as I want to be able to reclaim my dining room!
Realised printer was not connected to new internet so have been faffing with that which interrupted the hunt for the screwdriver that i was last using upstairs so i can finally fix the kitchen drawer!
Not looked at the to do list yet but it’s a weekend one that i write in Friday.
I picked up some bargain fleece pjs from the girls for mothering sunday from Tesco- in the sale and 25% off night wear and i get 10% off with clubcard thing so were £8.10 instead of £25.
Flowers I get on Monday (😁🤣) with some prosecco and will pick up bark chips for allotment.
Challenging you all to get a frog 🐸 done this weekend- go on you know you can do it- you’ve put it off for so long and i bet it’ll take less than 30mins!!Don’t put it down - put it away!

Saturday is a brighter & sunnier day but oh so cold even though temperature is supposedly 12C 😉 I was up at 10:00 & have done precisely nothing apart from make hot drinks. Finally signs of movement upstairs but not sure whether it is DH or DSis 😅 It was DH 😊 I had a tuna & sweetcorn sandwich for lunch.

vulpix, Sounds like you have had a lovely time at your son’s house getting to know your grandson 😊 Six months old seems like an ideal age - developing their own character & getting ready or even crawling already 😊 Well done on tidying & decluttering the kitchen 👏 Sorry to hear that MrV’s treatment still hasn’t started 😔 Hopefully St Rachael can work her magic yet again 🤞
Florafauna, that sounds like both myself & my DH - the only option for us is not to buy chocolate or biscuits 😉 but we do ‘frequently’ forget 🤣
AlwaysAllie, hope your DM is doing well 🤞
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏
Sorry to hear that you are still feeling rough Liverpool_Anne 😔 Although well done on the decluttering & a medal🏅 coming your way re doing such a dirty & smelly job 👏
Good luck with your kitchen clean & tidy up oceanspirit 🍀 Sorry to hear that the insurance company are dragging their feet 😔 Sending lots of good wishes that everything can get moving next week & that you will have a new car by the end of the week 🤞
Brie, sorry to hear that the NHS is currently failing you 😔
Congratulations on the V*nted sales tibawo 👏 Hopefully there is not too much time left on that particular contract 🤞
Excellent decluttering QueenJess & well done on continuing with the coat/shoe cupboard decluttering 👏
Wow Florenceem - 150 sacks of textiles 🤩 Now that they have been collected, there must be loads of space 😉 Sounds like MrF is trying very hard to avoid doing exercises by doing lots of walking 😉
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Fingers crossed that you get lots of viewings & that your house sells quickly 🤞
I hope you have recovered from yesterday’s shock Brie 😉 Excellent work by OH 👏 & long may his new found enthusiasm last 🤞
Muddy_Walker, sounds like a wonderful experience 😊 & well done on working out a way to make visiting Crufts less expensive than it could be 👏
Brie, I have also set up the TV to record all televised sessions of Crufts 🙂 although I will confess to not ever wanting to attend - way too many people 😱 Congratulations to your friend’s Flyball team 👏 Are you happy to share the name of the team so I can cheer them on?
ilovetea, what a lovely Friday 😊
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that the cold is dragging on 😔 but well done on getting the washing done & doing some decluttering in between naps 👏 Hopefully you are feeling better today 🤞
Florafauna, hope the viewing went well & that you will soon have a full price offer 🤞Enjoy your swim 😊
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 enjoy your time without OH getting underfoot 😅
vulpix, well done on completing at least a couple of things on your ‘not a bucket list’ List 👏 What a great name for your chocolate Labrador 😊 Lovely of your GP to phone & speak to MrV, even though not really her responsibility 😊 MrV sounds like he is a bit of a magpie 😂 Is it possible to see a picture of the cutlery 🙏 “He is out there now tending to Arkwrights shop” - so funny 🤣
EnergyShifter, Sounds like you are thriving on your new working pattern 😊 I hope that you are taking at least one of your long weekend days off for TLC & lots of rest & relaxation 🙏
tibawo, great work 👏 Fingers crossed you found the screwdriver 🤞 Interesting challenge 🤔 - if I take up the challenge I just need to decide which one of several frogs I should tackle 🤨
DH is just about to feed the worms & I am watching old episodes of Father Brown.

Just popping in quickly for today. Had a major clear out of emails and now down to under 500
. Then challenged myself to see what I could find to go around the house (did 5 mins before I got bored), but found it surprisingly easy to make a pile, so clearly a way to go yet.

Hello!!!!!! Been asleep or resting today but knew I would be after yesterday. I’ve not watched any Crufts on tv yet but I do love flyball. It’s always a mix of dogs 😊 I can’t imagine either of mine doing it - dog1 would just steal the tennis ball and run off with it and dog2 would just chunter his way over the jumps, winge at the person on the end and then to and pick an argument with a bigger dog 🤣🤣🤣⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

More stuff to declare from this evening. I also spent a while (after thinking about it on and off for a few days) making a list in my notes of the total wardrobes the kids actually need each (e.g. 5 t-shirts, 6 leggings etc). Now I have my complete list, I can go through and see if they are about to outgrow anything and if so whether I already have enough in reserve. Also means I am prepared when my parents visit next week as my mum wanted to know what clothes they need! Hoping this means I can start to reduce stress around kids clothes as it's so hard to keep on top of it all. Now I have a list I can go back to, it should make it easier.Digital:

QueenJess, Excellent decluttering especially the emails 👏
Muddy_Walker, that might be quite entertaining 😅
QueenJess, more excellent decluttering 👏 Good luck with your list of children’s clothing 🍀 hopefully it will help you feel more in control especially as your Mum is bringing even more clothes🤞 A great idea worthy of a medal 🏅 I think that if your dear mum is not listening to you, it might be time to write a very carefully worded letter otherwise I can see you ending up in the TLC Carriage permanently 😔
