Didn't post yesterday as I didn't do anything.
My daughter and her dog are visiting and drove to the beach. Lovely walk. Climbing over rocks! Walking in very soft sand!. I enjoyed it though. A Cumbrian beach in March is rather chilly. Came home and slept for 2 hours.
I donate stuff to the local hospice shop. It's the only CS we have. Was a helper there for nearly 20 years until the old knees started playing up. Really miss it.
Got rid of a few bits today though.
568-569 Kitchen rubbish and recycling out.
570 Card making CD-Rom.
571 Bag of bits to craft group.
572-575 240+ e-mails deleted.
576-601 E-b@y items posted.
Take care everyone.

NSD's in August 11/2017 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday I was awake & up just after 09:00. Rather dull outside but currently dry 🙂 Fingers crossed that it stays dry so that DSis doesn’t need to use the td all day when she starts her washing 🤞The sun came out for a bit but is hiding again 😉 DH is up & has had his first coffee. He has taken the sack of bird seed from the house to the garden box & refilled the bird feeders & is now in the garage zizzing vegetable peelings & teabags for the worms. Meanwhile I have been watching the 2nd series of The Missing. I have watched it all but did deal with today’s post - 2 more charity raffles - seems to be that time of year 😉 Dinner was bacon, egg, chips & beans. Then fell asleep for an hour. Finished the scarf. Wudupa.
346 - 348 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled
349 Kitchen detritus binned
daisy_1571, sounds like a good idea 👍
Florafauna, secret MSE handshake - I love it 😻 Not sure about striding through the hills, but living somewhere remote does have a certain appeal 😉 & then reality bites - no shops, no tradesmen, no medical assistance & of course poor wi-fi so no more sharing our lives with our fellow declutterati 😢
bamboo_socks, perhaps a suitably sized box for each of your children & if their toys are not in the box at the end of each day then they are fair game to be donated to less fortunate children 😅 or are they too young to understand 🤔 Hopefully no time wasters when you start listing your fabric etc 🤞
What a busy day QueenJess & you fitted in some decluttering 👏
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that the sniffles turned into a cold 😔 Hope you despatch it more quickly than I have managed 🤞 I have spent the afternoon coughing & sneezing - DH thinks I am allergic to him 🤣 as whilst he & DSis were away I stopped sneezing & the cough was almost gone 😉 I don’t feel particularly ill just annoyed at the coughing & sneezing 😠 Maybe OH will surprise you & sort out the pile next to the sofa 🤞😅 or is that too much like wishful thinking 🤨 Really enjoying the discussion about coats 🙂 Just wondering if OH feels guilty when he considers donating items that he has been gifted 🤔 Maybe a time limit to keeping unworn gifts 🤔
kiss_me_now9, wishing you continued success with your listings 😊 Love the phrase “and been getting rid of stuff with gay abandon” 😁
Brie, good luck getting back onto FB 🍀
Dfw38, sorry to hear that eldest DD is struggling again with going to school 😔 Hopefully you can get DH on side with homeschooling even if you only do it for a couple of months 🤞 Great decluttering 👏 although I do think it is about time your DH returned your ‘measuring bag” 😅
Excellent work Crazycatlady2 👏 I am quite ‘jealous’ about your planned evening of sorting screws 😂
Wednesday2000, shame that the CS couldn’t take the items but well done on thinking outside the box 👏 I see that you are absolutely determined to get rid of the trampoline 😅
Florenceem, more busy days at SA 🤩 Your energy is boundless & I am pleased to see that MrF is keeping active 😊 Fingers crossed that the compression stockings arrive soon 🤞
Brie, on the subject of favourite CS, I like to donate to hospice CS 🙂
QueenJess, congratulations on completing your large daily To Do list 👏 Oh, flip I was too slow visiting the TLC Carriage 😢
Florenceem, excellent work at SA 😊 Fingers crossed that DD sells all your ‘makes’ 🤞
Yippee to your car passing its MOT tibawo 🥳 Excellent decluttering of tasks 👏 Hopefully the Virgin issue will be sorted out & you will get at least a small compensatory amount for all the aggravation 🤞”Let’s go and get our clutter by the short and curlies and show it who’s boss!” - what a great mission statement 🥳
charlies_tribe, what a relief to finally obtain the medications for DD2 😮💨 just a shame it took so long 😔 Sending get well soon wishes for both DD2 & DH. Excellent physical & digital decluttering 👏
ilovetea, that sounds like a lovely day out with your DD 😊 Great decluttering 👏
Hope everyone has a good night 😴

@charlies_tribe - Sorry to hear about your rabbit. I understand they make good pets. There are times I would gladly exchange 2 cats (and 4 roommates) for a loving pet of any kind. I still miss the husky Bella even though she was more of a knock-em-over type dog than a loving one. My last dog Mama's was a very loving dog but we had to have her put to sleep when she was 18 years old about 4 years ago. The current pets are only-touch-me-don't -pick-me -up pets.19

Florafauna - I too hit the chocolate last night - I was given a box of yummy M&S biccies. I think chocolate makes me dream which I usually do anyway but last night was it seemed - constant.
@charlies_tribe - sorry to hear about your rabbit. Losing pets is hard. My middle Son had to have his Basset dog put to sleep on Monday.

Hi all, still rough here but I got a few things done yesterday that didn't involve too much brain work or physical activity
. I sorted the odd sock bag, repaired 4 pairs, then I moved on to my pj draw. A couple of pairs never worn and may end up in the cs bag after I have tried them on, meanwhile the draw is tidy. 2 LDFPA. 1 magazine read and passed on to ln, there are more but I didn't want to overwhelm her so I will pass them over slowly
. The bedroom recycling and bathroom bin were emptied and then I sat at the ironing board and did a chunck of the ironing. This is part of my plan to sort my t shirts. I am trying to make sure I wear more than the top of the pile so now they all have to be ironed before being put away and if I look at them and say this isn't worth the effort, as I really don't like ironing, it can go into the cs rag bag
.
The morning all I have done so far is drink tea and look through a couple of magazines. I have decluttered all the tissues in the house and have moved on to the toilet rollsand I will be logging in to watch the funeral soon but I might get something done after that.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Liverpool_Anne - hope you improve as the days go by. I am not a good patient - don't like being too ill to achieve anything.
Bright and sunny day here - taken 2 bags of stuff to the charity shop. Met a friend who crafts - we had a lovely chat.
I called in at SA on the way home - sorted out some stuff that has been in storage for a while and not sold at table top sales so will take to charity shop.
Mr F has gone out with a trolley of stuff for the charity shop.
Daughter text me to say that 2 mugs, 2 aprons and 2 pens have sold to raise funds for SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi! Crufts tomorrow and soooooo excited!!!!!
Good luck to those showing xxxx
Florencem I have a question for you - I will be sorting out coats soon and getting rid of those that don’t really fit me but “do”. I would rather they go somewhere like the SA as I believe they are distributed to homeless people.
There is an SA near me - can I just drop them off? Or are there special times for donating things?
Thank you⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I'll send you some pics...keep thinking there is a joke there somewhere about me having a screw loose 🤣
Recycling bin gone out full and I had some that didn't fit too
Dyed my hair and wrote my cards and my errands list for tomorrow so I can do them all tomorrow in one go I hope while I'm already out getting my hair cut
Can't believe how fast this week has gone. I've loads to do in kitchen but it's too early to start it so will prob be a rush all at last minute. Working on using up and sorting through every cupboard so when I pack up I can identify what can go in shed and what I need to keep in house16 -
9/52 - 10 copies of Delicious magazine picked up by a local. Pretty pleased with this as it seemed such a waste otherwise. First freebie I used got no interest. Used a Facebook local one after and they were requested and picked up within the hour.
10/52 - a book given to a friend who visited.15 -
Hi, I have had a few days at my son's house. He is at work so not seen a lot of him but I have had a lovely time with DIL and baby Grandson who is now 6 months. We went to various places including Blenheim Palace which I have never been to before. Mr V came to collect me and we came home via Birmingham where I purchased a couple of bra's and a new washing basket as our old one has a cracked handle. I have also bought a jumper and a tee shirt from the chazzer. Oh Mr V bought me a red phone case because I said I couldn't find the black one in my bag. Didn't need it but he likes to get me stuff!
The saga with Mr V's cancer treatment continues. He came home from work very anxious today. I think being on his own didn't do him any good. I phoned Saint Rachael and she investigated. She posted some blood request forms to us last week. Never came so we are going to the hospital to get them done next week. The scan department made him a scan appointment but didn't tell him!!!!! He should have been there last Tuesday at 10:10 chuffs sake. She has requested yet another scan. When we go to the hospital next week we will take her a thank you card and a gift. It is month 7 since his diagnosis and no further forward.
The photo I did of my kitchen made me realise it looks cluttered. Some things put away in cupboards and some will be going to the cat sanctuary for their car boot sale. Writing everything down that I bring into the house is showing me that I do rather like clothes, even second hand ones. I can't blame weight loss as I have stayed the same since Christmas. When I have some brain space I need to do some work on myself about clothes.
Hope all's well with everyone Vx:17
