I have decided to get rid of a fold out bed, a bedside table, a TV unit, an office chair and my trampoline. I called two local charities and both couldn't take it for various reasons. I then thought of my brother as he is moving into a flat at the start of April! He said he will take everything apart from the trampoline. I told him to ask if his girlfriend or his best friend would want it instead. I will have to hang onto it for a while but at least it will be going out of the house at some point.19

Florafauna - I live near to my SA corps but had no idea how busy it was until I started to attend there.
The other day I had an elderly lady come to the SA door with a bag of donations from her neighbour. She told me that she always tells people to give to the SA as they helped her family when they were bombed out.
On Monday - a chap came to SA and asked for a pair of trainers - he was using a pair of size 10 - walking on the heels as he needs a size 12. As I sort the donations - I knew where a pair of large size trainers were - he was so happy - they had been donated to us and we blessed him - they were Nike Air - he gave me his size 10 pair to give to someone else but when I looked - there was a hole in the sole.
I was at SA yesterday morning sorting donations while Mr F took a trolley full of stuff to the charity shop. He then did another trip to a charity shop with a suitcase of donations.
Our DGgd called here to collect her Birthday card before we went off for a nurse appointment - Mr F is still waiting for compression stockings - apparently the measurements have to go to Germany where they are manufactured. So he is wearing compression bandages still.
We went to SA at 9 to take in a food delivery.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Well I’m back to report that I completed my whole to do list today, although I’ve not sat down all day and even I didn’t think it was possible to complete! Even made a Mother’s Day card.No time for decluttering apart from using things up, but hopeful I can shame DH into doing something later 😆. Will be watching some of SYLO with DS later for inspiration.

That’s true @Floss we donate to our local hospice shop as they looked after my mum and auntie. I also volunteered in their fundraising office above the shop after I left school (and didn’t go to Uni) so I was ‘gainfully unemployed’. I have a lot to be thankful for but when it comes to that hospice. After them my next favourite is the local air ambulance. That’s as a sort of insurance policy ‘just in case’.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Today was another busy day at SA. The SA minibus had been unloaded into the foyer - the stuff we collected on Monday afternoon. I had a chap helping me - we looked at the huge pile - I said - we will attempt this like eating an elephant - one bite at a time. We had to use black sacks to put it in as the textile recycling bags had gone missing.
It was hard work but we got through it just before we were on duty serving lunch. I had two breaks from the recycling when the two frailest lunch club guests arrived and I went out to bring them inside.
After serving lunch & pud and taking frail guests out of the building - the missing textile recycling bags turned up so we transferred everything thing into them from the black sacks. All our recycling crates are full - due to be emptied on Friday - so we are building a pile covered with plastic next to them. After lugging and stacking heavy bags of textiles - we needed a sit down with a cuppa.
I have given my Dd some makes to take into school tomorrow to hopefully raise money for the SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

So car passed MOT so this meant I could go ahead and pay DD school trip off which is a load off my mind. It was £1500- eek! However she got a grant towards some and her school trips got cancelled due to covid so i felt for her - without these reasons it would have been a straight no!
Mum still away so am ploughing through my to do list in the days i’m normally with her! Doing things that i never quite get round to such as kitchen drawer broke but lost screws so have ordered some new ones. Discovered i’ve not linked the printer to new wifi so gave just added that.
Had a real go at Virgin. They graciously gave me a free month when I left to help with the transition. They initially billed me. I questioned this and was told not to worry as they would take it off the bill and i owed nothing. So today i get a late fee for not paying this said bill. I rang and the lady tried to insist I owe it as even though they credited the month i was responsible for it not being paid on time. She couldn’t get that it was free so i shouldn’t have been charged in the first place!
I’ve just dumped a load of stuff on table that I need to go through tomorrow - i think this better weather is spurring me on as well.
And … another week closer to finishing my self employed contract … can’t wait. Even more so that I’ve already got something else lined up!
Let’s go and get our clutter by the short and curlies and show it who’s boss!
Don’t put it down - put it away!

It's interesting who we all donate to. We have a lot of charity shops in our town but my favourite is the British Heart Foundation, they are so nice and friendly. Also the Cancer Relief shop who were so kind to local refugees.
Have decluttered a lot of chocolate today as am tired after a late night last night 🍫😁😴18 -
Good evening. I have been reading along but have lost track. Its been a busy few days here. We had DGD at the weekend. We've had lots of trips to the pharmacy and calls to the doctors. We couldn't get DD2s prescription anywhere. The receptionist put it through as urgent Friday afternoon after the second call and we finally managed to get it at 5.30 yesterday after more calls. She's looking a lot better already and now DH has come down with something so isn't at work tonight.
On Monday evening we went out to feed the rabbit to find he was no longer with us, he had been okay earlier in the day when we'd been out to him with DGD. DH has buried him in the front garden and emptied out his hutch 😥
I watched sort your life out earlier. I wonder if I can do my own mini version, one room at a time?
Right better post my list and go to bed. Early start tomorrow.
