A few hours to myself this morning so I've been through the seed collection and binned anything ancient/I'll never grow. I've also sorted my wool collection into one place with my knitting machine, hopefully making it easier to get it out and create.18

Welcome to new people and hie (waves) to fellow declutters) I am alreadys sensing tha this is going to be a good year for the BIG Clearout.
Nothing out here yet howver. The Christmas decorations are away. Its a bit early I know but it its a job I am not going to have to think about now. I have also cut up the cards for inserts for online sales and for gft cards for next Christmas. All put away.
I am still recovering from le flu so after taking decs down and vacuuming yesterday I was wiped out. I sat and started writing out my plans for the year. I have slightly complicated finances and want to cover all birthdays, next christmas and holidays as well as the usual insurances, repairs and MOTs. I do this every year just to keep my head above water as there are curve balls nearly every month.
I have also worked out a finincial plan for DS1 who has been living with me for a year now. He has hardly any money for general daily life never mind emergencies. I have set him a plan out to start to save but he needs to stick to it to cover his costs and save in the year. I hope also to teach him what I failed to teach him before he left home re thinking about saving and planning expenditure. DS1 has some neurodiverse diagnosis but actually once he has it in his head he will be fine.
Right off to micro tidy a table.

@Brie I hope we can see when it is all done!
@ruby_eskimo The main problem with FB marketplace in my experience is the time wasters. I have a free coffee machine listed. 10 people expressing interest, one guy even asking my address and saying he'd come that afternoon, and nothing! It's bloody free! Jeeez.
@QueenJess I am also home alone. It's been a long time, probably pre-covid ish, but Mr F had been working eve and wkend shifts, so either he was home or Junior F was home. Today has just been me and the dog (called Jess!). It's been so quiet except for washing machine and tumble dryer!
@vulpix I am eagerly awaiting your bigamy story

A much quieter day for me today, but 18 items from my daughters wardrobe decluttered. Another bag of stuff gone so that's great.
I need to get some stuff washed and put on vinted.
Also need to phone the council for a bulky order collection, you can do it online but none of the items I want to get rid of are on there? 🤔🙄
However I did buy a blanket 🥰 and that came with 2 free keychains and a hair scrunchie.
Going to my cousins tomorrow to help her move. Hopefully won't bring a load of stuff back home with me 🙃😬January 2025 GC 🥕 £144.61 / £400

I've had a productive day today sorting through stuff and I've decluttered about 8 inches of old paperwork, loads of old packaging that was hiding under the stairs! and a handbag for the charity shop, which is where I got it from originally. I Found a couple of sentimental old photographs and some picture frames so I cleaned them up and put the photos in, I'm slowly turning this house into a home

Wow, 11 pages to catch up. Hello all newbies and also those who are rejoining this train.
I' made eggs in mugs yesterday, squirted the scooshy oil into a mug but it squirted rather than scooshed and looked a dirty colour. Checked label - use by July 2017! It went out. (Eggs were lovely tho, had them again today.) Also 2 dvds in charity bag - doublers I didn't realise I had.
Andiacc, I see Mrs sd has responded, lots of good ideas, main thing is the timescale- remind yourself it didn't all arrive overnight so it will take time to sort through to go.
Name is missing from memory but I had to reread your post - JackieO maybe? - as I read that you had a medium and a large chest! Double take! Ah, chests of drawers lol

Hi all, I was going to post last night but I was just too tired, this covid virus really has floored me. I slept until 10.30 and woke up thirsty so had some water from the bottle by my bed and promptly fell back asleep. I am now on my 3rd cuppa plus finished the bottle of water as I think I have slept so long I am dehydrated
I am working on the premise that if I am sleeping this much I must need it and so not stressing about it.
On nyd I didn't do any decluttering but I did go to the footy. The weather was monsoon like and by the time I got home my feet were soaked but my coat did what it says on the tin and from head to ankles I was warm and dry. I thought I'd be knackered the next day but surprisingly I did have some energy yesterday and got a few things done.
I had got a voucher from the big river shop so I loaded that up and used some of it to organise part of the first birthday present of the year to be delivered straight to them. The rest of the present was a voucher for a cream tea delivered straight to them via email. It's not the way I usually do presents but it was the only way as I have been unable to get out to the shops. Then I trotted off to the post office and the birthday card was posted and the present for the second birthday of the year which has to go to Australia. My goodness the postage costs have gone up. I popped into the small sm next to the post office for a few bits and then headed to the tip. 2 bags of hard plastic recycled. They have been cluttering up the place for ages so I was very happy to get that out.
I have also managed a session of self care and a body scrub finally uu and a sample bottle of shampoo that has been lurking in the bathroom. Containers recycled. The only other things I did were check my emails and 100 deleted. The spam continues to be getting a few and there is one in my inbox that is a bit strange. It has originated from somewhere that looks official but I don't recognise but it has an attachment that I haven't yet opened because I am suspicious of it. It is supposed to be a report of an appeal but I don't recognise the name of the person. Now I do get things like this through my union thing and about the ACAS case but I really am not happy with this. I will investigate further before I do anything with it. Other than that I just did some crochet while decluttering things from the planner and watching tv. I have been watching the programme about the post office scandal. It is quite interesting even though I know the story and I must say I do feel for the people involved, shocking the way they were treated. I know they have had some compensation but it goes nowhere near enough for what happened to them.
Right off my soap box now and I will go and see what I can do. Hugs to everyone who would like one

I am in the tea wagon, recovering from a throat infection. Dd1 has it now; husband and dd2 are still healthy. I made granola, cleaned the guinea pig hutch, and took down the laundry.
I did do laundry on 1 January when we came home from a week at my Mom's, and this morning I received news that a friend passed away. She was diagnosed with oesophagal cancer 5 years ago, at 49, and was put into a coma after Christmas. We were in the same friend group until about 9 years ago, but we had drifted apart due to me living abroad and not being in the same main friend group.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5918 -

I'm still decluttering snot but at a slower rate than previously. One benefit of this chest infection is no appetite and no alcohol has been consumed since a glass & a half of prosecco on Christmas day.
Anyways... another Vinted parcel dropped off and 4 bags to Banardo's following a quick scuffle in my wardrobe & a cull of books that have been read / won't get read.
