This is our wardrobe, and has been for the last year! On the left a lovely handmade wooden blanket chest; nothing should be on top, because the top is lovely, too. Then a box with tights, summer items and specialty items (spanx....). Next is husband's shelving unit, which he seems to purposely make a mess of (I pile the items neatly, he searches, lifts, deposits randomly,...). Next, my shelving unit; I can find my clothes in the dark, I know exactly what I have and where it is. Lastly, a box with the family's sport items, on top: a fur coat I inherited but don't fit nor like, and a tapestry I also inherited (different inheritance) that I want to put up asap (= after the dust from the renovations have settled. Still no startdate in sight...).
Hopefully this weekend I can persuade husband to collect our wardrobe from the neighbours.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5920 -
Wow, this thread moes fast! I'm so impressed by everyone's progress. Its a steady 3 item total for me so far- used up a body lotion yesterday and binned two dried out cream eyeshadows today.Bonus declutter was my work handbag. I bought a new one in the sales to moved things across and decluttered. The old one is quite worn so need to decide if enough life in it to go to the charity shop or not.MFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.1418

Work finished a half hour early today due to server issues (they will claim the time back tomorrow) so I used the half hour to take a audio book upstairs and tackle the spare bed which was turned into a dumping ground on the pre Christmas downstairs tidy 🙄 the bed has been cleared other than my clean bedding. Most stuff was put away where it should have gone originally but I sorted a half bag of rubbish/recycling/shredding and a half bag added to the charity pile. I also sorted the bedside cabinet in there which has three small drawers and condensed down to two.I found a bottle of sloe gin in a gift bag which was either a birthday present or a Christmas present from last year, can't remember who gave it to me it has been brought downstairs to join the emergency gin under the stairs but will take awhile to declutter.
I spent about 45 minutes but had set my alarm to ensure I fulfilled my challenge to do at least 24 minutes a day. I've decided not to count items out but will ensure at least 24 minutes a day working on decluttering and tidying
There is a financial 'housekeeping' frog 🐸 I've been putting off which I'll add to my list to sort in the next day or two. I'm hoping that it will actually turn into a tadpole as I think I've over complicated it in my headLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin19 -
Still in the TLC carriage. Had a little bit more energy than yesterday so had a mini-potter - gentle tidying...
Did next bite sized chunk of Accounts - put Amazon expenditure on a spread sheet and sorted emails into folders & deleted loads too - all whilst half-watching Netflix.
Weather was terrible so I didn't go further than the Corner shop all day.

I am thrilled to be doing this. Some chill time over xmas meant I had enough energy to potter and pottering led to sorting and cleaning and de cluttering.5 bin bags in two days. One room.
then-Kitchen fridge- just the top, the sides! Kitchen draw- the draw that you keep things because you should but it’s actually rubbish and hasn’t been used in a decade.Found the time to do these annoying quick bits while trying to hustle the kids to bed. Still making the most of the Christmas period here. Was woke up about 8 as I'd forgot to put money in the account for the food shop, sorted that. Had numerous cups of tea and then watched DGD for an hour while DH followed DD1 to drop their car at tge garage. After dropping them home we collected the shopping and we've taken DD3s friend home this evening. That's as much as I've done, not looking forward to tge school run on Thursday morning 🤣
Bins go out tomorrow so DH has filtered as much as would fit from the garden waste bin but as I don't know what bits have gone over, I'll leave my list until its empty. Just so I don't feel too bad, some Digital decluttering while watching the TV.

Groan,blergh,sneeze, Hello,
Thank you so much for the end of year roundup Mrs SD, I had no idea that I had such an embarrassment of awards. Thank you. I thought I had added a pic of our air b n b but it has disappeared.
Well the train is off to a flying start, though I am deferring my new year until I feel better. I did go a short walk yesterday but have been too ill and busy today. 36 hours in and 3 kitchen rolls down.
My house guests have gone and I am yet to tidy up or get any washing on. After we had our tea party for my Mum's birthday Ds and I went to her house. She wants him to have some things. A book from 16 something about a hamlet where my ancestors farmed where our family is mentioned. They were big landowners back in the day. I will tell you another time how it all fell apart due to bigamy. Anyhoo, I thought I had emptied the airing cupboard, err nope the EEC pillowcase mountain is in there.
Once Ds left at 7pm ,I fell asleep so now wide awake.
We had an earthquake in Buxton earlier, a very small one that no one noticed though. Ages ago I remember waking up one night to the bedroom curtains wafting and only found out when I went to work the next day that we had had a reasonable earthquake!
i am with you all decluttering in spirit. Vx:18
