Hi all, roofers have finished yay. When the boss came to collect the money he tried to rustle another job out of me but I knocked him back. It was my front garden wall which has a lean but it has been like that for nearly 40 years. I didn't like the price which seemed much too high plus it is low on my priority list for house jobs. Maybe after I have had the kitchen and bathroom sorted I will think about it
. As for decluttering yesterday the only thing that left the house was a cup broken by a roofer and the rubbish left over from the job which the roofer sorted. I said he could put the bits in the wheelie as they were small.
Today I have a union visit which will take up the morning at least. Not sure if I will get anything else done as I am hanging on by my fingernails for my B12 jab tomorrow. In other news OH said it was not possible to rearrange all the pupils to go to the funeral on Thursday so I have decided I can't go on my own. It would just be too much driving etc the way I am feeling right now.
Ok off to get showered and dressed and out. Hope everyone has a good Friday, the weekend is nearly here. Hugs to everyone who would like one

Still managed to have a quick decluttering session yesterday and today was the first time I did the washing on a delay timer overnight. Pleasingly it wasn't loud enough to wake anyone early in the morning and DH got up and hung it all up for me. That's a win, win I think!Digital:

Need to do a bit of tidying and change the beds today, but I think work will be very tiring (only day 2 so I'm trying to figure everything out still), so not expecting anything else unless I fancy a digital declutter in front of the TV later.2025 decluttering: 3,324🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

@Liverpool_Anne Maybe contact your friend or the funeral parlour/church and ask if they livestream the funeral?

@QueenJess pleased to see your old job is done and dusted and are now into your new job. Long my DH's help continue.
As I tend to keep decluttering at parents new property little bits of stuff as dad wants items to go I seem to be missing doing the same here at ours. As we are actually SABLE of paper and note pads I have written a list this week to check back on it would appear 5 t-shirts have ended up as rags.
Note to self - must try harder. It will have benefits this I know.
Have a good weekend all

Taking a very good quality walking jacket (Paramor?) and fleece top with me to the food bank today. We get a lot of rough sleepers who need good stuff to keep dry and warm and these don't fit OH any more. There's also a long knitted waist coat kinda thing that I used to wear to work. I'll ask if they want that as well, if not will charity shop it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Afternoon already? good grief! I have 55 minutes before I need to go to work.
Hello, all: the never ending fight against stuff continues...went through a "doom bag" (doom stands for "Didn't Organise, Only Moved") of assorted stuff resulting in a small wodge of paperwork to the shredder, 15 bits of anonymous paper to recycling and 8 bits to the bin. So that's 25 to the deferred decisions total which is now at 59.
Useful article here Doom Boxes: What They Are, And How They Can Help You Declutter (housedigest.com)
Main thing is, though, you need A Cunning Plan for what's in your Doom Box or a place for like to go with like which is always an issue for me.
Apart from that, it's
649-698: items to binbags
699-738: items to recycling
739-744: 300 emails deleted
745-768: 24 GB data deleted
769-771: binbags taken downstairs to the wheelie.
Have a good weekend all.

Hi, not been on here for ages - I have been decluttering but life has been hectic.
My Dd who was hit by a car before Christmas is still in pain and returning to see her GP.
Mr F had a really bad January - had to fill in his last ever tax return - closing the business so a lot of work to do on it - I thought he was heading for another mental breakdown. He is just so different to how he was before his breakdown in March 2023. People have said - his sparkle has gone.
Mr F is still bandaged toes to knee to reduce the Odema in his ankles - compression stockings have not arrived.
Been closed at SA this week - worked harder than ever!
Been very busy at SA.
QueenJess - I am too scared to run a washing machine while in bed after mine caught fire as did my son's one.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Nice to 'see' you florenceem, was thinking of you just this minute as I'm watching an old Stephanie Cole programme from the late 70s, you might know it. Thats sad to hear about Mr f but it is progress that he has recognised its best to close? Hopefully once he's had some time to rationalise it all height decide its been the best decision. It sounded like he wasn't coping but im sure it wasn't an easy thing to have to do.

daisy_1571 - what programme was it?
Mr F has had physio visits for the past 6 weeks - gave him exercises to do which he has been very good at doing. They also took him out with his rollator which he doesn't use. Physios advised him against walking with a stick but can't force him to change to a walking aid.
Builders came and did our back garden in January - much safer for Mr F now - will add before and after photos - it decluttered more of my savings.

So nice to see you back @Florenceem you have been missed.Sorry to hear that your daughter and Mr F have been/are still in the wars. Things will improve for you all I’m sure. The builders have done a beautiful job and hopefully, with the weather improving, Mr F will get out and enjoy it. The rollator would be much safer but I image that Mr F is taking a bit of time to adjust to altered modes of travel and methods of assistance.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
