Well first guy came and snapped up all the counter wood that was left and gave me a good amount of ££ so I'm happy on that front. Wrote a nice "I'm sorry" message to second guy who may still show up in 30 minutes. Or not. Suppose I should warn the OH in case the bell goes as his desk is just inside the front door and he'll be surprised by someone showing up and might get an earfull as well.

I think it was seeing my friends at the weekend that cemented in my mind that I am moving house fairly soon so I am just going to look at items and think can I be bothered to move them or should I just get rid now?
Westgate was where I stayed on my school trip as that school was linked to mine in south London. I texted my friend and she remembered staying there too. Weird that I am going to end up back in the area! Hopefully!

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January

3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday I woke up at midday to find it had been raining & everywhere was sodden 😔 Third week of NO Recycling collection 😔 I have finally sent a complaint 😉 About 13:23 DH phoned - they are moored up as for some reason the next 3 locks are closed 😔 G has been doing the driving & steering today & is a dab hand at it 😊 which bodes well for life on the water 😊
Nice to see you TheDoolallyDilly 👋 Catching up with the EDT probably means that you have had your exercise for an entire month 😅 Love the “and I'm ploddily plodding like a ploddy thing through my emails.” 👏 At least you are moving along, I am currently wading through treacle 😞 Great decluttering 👏 & well done on forming good habits 👏 I have bookmarked Diane in Denmark but I am resisting the temptation to watch & listen until I have earned it 😂
Liverpool_Anne, hope the roofers arrived on time 🤞
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Fingers crossed the GHIC health card arrives soon 🤞
2Scratters, sorry to hear that your afternoon out was cancelled 😞 but hopefully you got a lot done 😊 Congratulations on matching up all your odd socks 🥳 Fingers crossed that the weather improves substantially for when your roofing work is done 🤞
QueenJess, yippee to saying goodbye to one job 🥳 & good luck with your new job 🍀 Pleased to hear that you have one day off at least 😊
Sorry to hear that you have picked up a cold Wednesday2000 😔 but hopefully you have nipped it in the bud 🤞I have bookmarked 2GoRoam & will have a little look when I next tackle my electronic decluttering 😉
nannywindow, well done on sticking to your guns & getting seen in the hospital 👏 Absolutely no need to worry about unburdening yourself - this is a safe space & it helps to write things down rather than have them whirling around in your head 😊 Lots of cwtches coming your way 🤗 Thanks for the reminder about feeding the worms 👏
Dfw38, sounds good - wishing you every success in reaching Maintenance Decluttering by the end of the year 😊 Also lovely to hear that you are factoring in TLC time 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏 & a great idea to start your TLC by filling in the gaps in your wardrobe 👏
Mamaofmanybudgets, no need to apologise for not posting regularly 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 & I see that you are way past 3/4 of the way to your target, so another Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 😊
Excellent decluttering & tidying Florafauna 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way for getting your house ready to go on the market 😊
Soontobeoap, sorry to hear that your house is suffering from condensation 😔 It is always a fine line between saving money, staying warm & taking care of the house 😞 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering Bozwood 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way for the continuing good work decluttering clothes 🙂
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 Very impressive reduction in emails - over 90% 🥳 That is deserving of a medal 🏅 which is making its way to you as I type 😉
Well done on decluttering the jeans florianatwobob 👏 you wouldn’t want to scare the wildlife 🤣
TC77, not sure why EAs ignore such obvious disadvantages when trying to sell a house ☹️ Love it that DD1 is already putting in her requests for when you move 😂 even though it is quite some time off 😉
Brambling, well said - nannywindow can have not only a corner of the TLC Carriage but also her own waiter/waitress 😊 Some great decluttering 👏 & as to the P60s it can be quite interesting seeing how much you earned way back when 😉 Do you have any plans for your retirement?
EnergyShifter, you have put into words exactly how I am feeling “Once again I am struggling to keep up with the speed of the EDT. It dawned on me just now that I'm feeling the same way about 2024, I literally don't feel I've landed yet! I'm out of routine, the weeks feel like they are whizzing past and I'm just being swept along! I think it's a combo of winter-tiredness, finishing off building work, studies and actual work.” The one bright light is that I have finally learned not to beat myself up about it 😊 Cwtches coming your way 🤗
Liverpool_Anne, hmm not very impressive by the builders 🤔 Hopefully they have redeemed themselves today 🤞 I would blame the ‘day’ confusion on the Leap Year 😉
Lovely to see you bamboo_socks 👋 Excellent work on the indoor decluttering - worthy of a medal 🏅
Siebrie, I can empathise completely. It is another one of those ‘fine line’ situations 😔 Do I take the plunge immediately or do I do more research? The thing is that sometimes taking the plunge works & sometimes delaying a decision works 😔 Always difficult to judge 😔
vulpix, a true ‘thunderbolt’ 😍 With that success, no wonder you continue to make instant decisions 🤩 Excellent decluttering at your Mum’s house 👏 So much more done that I am awarding you & MrV a Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ EACH. Your brother & nephew have been put out in the garden with NO access to a shed 🤣
Great decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Sounds like you have turned ‘wanting to move’ into ‘definitely moving’ 😊 very exciting 🙂
Brie, if the first one takes the counter tops will you have time to message the 2nd chap, so that he doesn’t turn up? Yippee to the first chap & more ££s in your pot 🥳 Hopefully the rain will keep the other chap at home 🤞
Happy Birthday Wednesday2000 🎂 🥂 🥳
Brie, good news 🙂
Nothing much done today apart from finishing the scarf & reorganising the filing cabinet in the living room. 6 drawers of stationery items condensed into 5 & have finally put like with like 😊 I didn’t realise quite how many notebooks I have but will start to use them once my small stack of scrap paper is used up 😉 It rained on & off all day ☹️

Had a good sort out of my make-up. Realised I am hanging onto a foundation, two concealers and three things of face powder that are, and presumably always have been, too pale for me. I can only think I bought them in summer, assuming I would need them in winter, opened them, found they didn't suit and then kept them in the cupboard for between five to fifteen years each just in case. Also two gloopy mascaras and some (also too pale) concealers and a makeup bag that doesn't close properly. Some holey socks and more books gone as well, and a plain wooden box that came with art materials that I thought I would decorate one day but likely won't. Four and a half pairs of diddy little foot socks that drive me mad by rolling down and some old muslin used to fill the gap between the window and the frame last winter before it was fixed have also gone - no idea why I kept that, it'll never be fit for anything else again.
In - some underwear, a new foundation and mascara to replace the old, a tube of cobalt blue paint and some tiny canvases.

Thank you for the stars Mrs SD. I hope you are feeling much better. I so agree with you that anyone can come here and will be supported.x
Whilst in "The smoke" getting passport photos, went to my favourite £1 chazzer. £7 frittered away just like that! A good haul of tops including, mantaray, whitestuff, m n s, joules, damart and makes I have never heard of.All have had a good soak then washed and have come up beautifully. The thing with a lot of charity shop clothes is that they have been washed badly. I find if they are decent quality they wash up well. One top I am not keen on will be going back onto the charity shop roundabout, the others I am yet to try on. Mr V bought me 12 primulas for £6 from asda, I potted them up as soon as we got home. The days are getting longer,it makes such a difference.
Home alone tomorrow ,having a haircut and then intend to eat a couple of frogs.

Thank you for the star Mrs SD.
Yesterday I hot the cookie cutters out for DD1 and we sorted them into shapes, letters, numbers etc and there was 3 letters missing so decided to Empty the bottom drawer to see if we could find them. Found the y but h and I are still AWOL. I ended up emptying the whole drawer this morning. All tea towels, cloths, tablecloths etc were rehashed. A huge pile of instructions recycled, why do I need instructions for a washer thats been replaced 3 times since!?! (7 of us and 2 with special needs we'd probably have been better with an industrial one) and and lots of odd bits to the bin.
The drawer looks so much better. There's still some bits to sort but DD1 arrived with DGD and we had to take DD3 to the doctors. Her horrible eczema wasn't eczema at all, it's scabies and now I feel horrible and itchy. No idea where its come from as no one else affected at the minute. Took prescription to pharmacy and can't get the cream. Will try different ones tomorrow.
Now laid in bed trying to have an early night as have DGD overnight as DD1 at work and she doesn't sleep through but can't settle yet.
18 x sets of appliance instructions
Plastic packaging to bin
Gate warning sign, fully yellowed
95 cookie cutters!-yep I really did count each one 🤣
Delivery box- recycled
Large paper bag- recycled
Dishwasher funnel- never used
Pool Puncture repair kit- pool went years ago
12 x smaller items (medicine spoons/syringes, candles, loose straws...)

I did more decluttering last weekend, and took a large bag to a charity shop. We've got 2 more bags ready to go.
I've been I'll this week so haven't done much decluttering. I finally managed some time in the TLC carriage this morning. With some date and banana cake.
To save time, I will change from logging and counting by item to counting bags (large bags as 2). I got to 75, so am now on 79. I will also change my target from 2024 to 365.
