A few more items added to the list this weekend:
Throwing out a bag that is seriously faded and fraying. It has served me well for 15 years, bought in the sale at Accesorize. I'm replacing it with a bag I already had, that I've mended tonight.
Also throwing out a beloved Kath Kidston badger purse. I have to o be honest, it's totally broken. I'm always losing coins from it.
A box gift
A tin of lavender incense - not my favourite.
A birthday wall decorationKeep reading books!

@Muddy_Walker hope you're not feeling as low this evening, virtual hugs
@-taff and @QueenJess thank you both, and I do know what you mean, I try not to keep more than a few month's of things, and trying to distinguish between appreciating something and thinking I need to have it!
Also want less stuff so don't trip over things, and as I want to downsize etc. Think I said I tripped over the dishwasher door having it left open (not concentrating) but having to tidy etc takes time, effort etc and I want to be doing other things.
Dropped off bag at posh CS, then suitcase of things to donation hub, an bag of hangers (matching) and bag of plastic bags to them , counting as 4 (as many things inside already counted, put a rug and airer on freesite, one picked up and other hopefully in the next couple of days.
Debating about a cake stand, but decided can go, haven't used for a few years and have some nice platters, and looking at vases and jugs - some midcentury coloured glass jugs I love (some went a couple of years ago) and decided that some plain vases can go as I can use the jugs and don't have flowers that often or that many - then can put things that are on the side on shelves and not have to move things to get to other things - not saying this will happen immediately but recognising I had a scarcity worry and don't need to finding I can't do it all at once.
Two small frogs done,

Evening.
Haven't decluttered much at all today. Did 2 loads of washing. 1 lot is dried but not put away.
Put some things on e-b@y but wont count those till they sell. Did sell some bits today though but they will still be here until Tuesday. Looking around there is an awful lot of tidying up to do..
Weenancy the book sale looks great. I could spend a lot of time in there.
Mrs S.D. Enjoy your time alone. but take care of yourself.

6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Bit of a disaster sleep wise 😔 Went to bed at 03:00 Sunday morning as was finally feeling sleepy 🥱 woke up at 06:00 back to bed 07:00, bathroom visit 08:30 then finally up at 11:40. Read the email that DH sent at 10:46 - today they were going through their first flight of locks - 6 in all. I sent a reply @ 12:24. Then received another email 15:04 saying that they had safely negotiated 5 of the 6 locks & were having a pub lunch 😊 About 19:00 as I hadn’t received a phone call, I sent an email assuming there was no phone signal & wishing everyone a good night. 21:00 DH phoned - they have had a brilliant day (dry but cold 4C 🥶) - lots of raucous laughter in the background 🤣 DH was in charge of the steering again (he is improving 😉), G & E did the locks & DSis was in charge of the dogs 😉 They had had a big lunch so were just having a snack & playing board & card games. About 22:30 received an email from DH - they are on Llangollen Canal, Whitchurch branch heading north to Bunbury. Apparently my DSis is having the time of her life & her breathing is much improved 🥳 DH is on lock duty on Monday. I haven’t quite got into the swing of things yet 😉 Today was chilly & late afternoon it rained & has barely stopped for the rest of the day. Spent lots of time napping, watching TV & knitting. My intention whilst DH & DSis are away is to use up as much as possible from the freezers, so last night I had cottage pie with green beans. Wudupa.

weenancy, that is a lot of books 🤩 I could see myself setting up a camp bed so I could have a weekend browsing 😉 Sounds like a good sale 👏 & hopefully March will see a big clear out + temperate weather so you can get back to having your sales outdoors 🤞Pleased to hear that Di is helping a little with the decluttering 😉
retiredinfrance, just starting to enjoy my time alone 😊 but am missing DH hugs 🤗
oceanspirit, what a great way to nudge a frog 👏 Hopefully OH is coming around especially with the promise of a day out 😊

EnergyShifter, what a lovely setting for a church 😊 Pleased to hear that you are making use of the facilities in the TLC Carriage to build up your energy 😊 Well done on getting the scaffolding removed now that Phase 1 is completed 👏
Liverpool_Anne, so relieved to hear that the chap is not a chancer & that he is a proper trader 😊 Very fortuitous that he was passing by 🥳 Excellent work decluttering emails 👏 I hope your footy team was victorious 🤞
Brie, personally I think you are well shot of Rude boy 😉 Good luck with cataloging your Mum’s jewellery & sending the doc to your bros 🍀
short_bird, okey dokey 😉 I think I will start hoovering under the bed regularly 😁
Muddy_Walker, so sorry to hear that you are feeling down 😔 Just wondering if there is some sort of procedures manual that can be given to the newbies 🤨 Hopefully you can keep a low profile, but if they are still getting you down it might be an idea to keep your boss in the loop.
tibawo, how much longer is your contract?
Except work Florafauna 👏
Muddy_Walker, I have never understood why miserable people want everyone else to be miserable 😞 Please do NOT beat yourself up about not managing to follow your plans for the weekend 🙏 I am hoping you managed to get some rest as well as giving yourself some TLC 😊
Brie, fingers crossed that the new person showing interest in the kitchen counter is not another time waster 🤞
Nice to see you Fizz2015 👋 Love that you are so busy that you are struggling to find time to declutter 😉 Congratulations on your Bingo win 🥳
Yippee to monies in your fund, Brie 🥳
TheEmerald, I think helping someone else declutter is always easier because they are making the decisions 😉 I see that you have done some excellent decluttering 👏 and as you are only 1 item away from a quarter of your target, I am awarding you your 1st Gold Star ⭐️
I am struggling to concentrate now so will post this & come back later.

Hi all, slow decluttering day here. Went to the sm and got a few bits, all put away. On was out so no coffee over the fence. Watched the footy which went to extra time but we got the result I wanted so a happy bunny here. 1 LDFPA and then I started some knitting. Friend's d's f2f likes pink and is always cold so I am doing fingerless mits and a neckwarmer thing to use up some of the pinkish yarn I have. She is wfh and their heating bills are astronomical.
Hopefully the roofers will be here soon. I have done something to my shoulder, feels like it might be a rota cuff problem, I had that on my other shoulder a few years ago so I have dug out the resistance bands I got then and will do some of the physio exercises tomorrow if it is the same in the morning.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Take care everyone

I slept for about 8 hours last night. I think the recent stress of Mr V's cancer treatment delay has just pushed me over the edge a bit. The previous 12 months have been challenging. Well actually the previous 5 years have been challenging! Sorry to offload, but it actually helped.Sorry to hear you are fed up too Muddy.x
DD2 was here over the weekend, I am teaching her how to crochet. Homemade pizza last night. There are left overs, get thee behind me Satan. Diet not going well. I have lost the same pound at least 20 times since January 1st.
I did some cleaning frogs yesterday. The fridge and the microwave which were not bad but probably should have been done a week ago. The big frog was cleaning the thresholds to both outside doors. The back door was full of grit and cement dust from the building work last year.
Hope the book sale goes well Weenancy, a fabulous idea to get children reading to give books for free.
Hope all's well with your roofer Liverpool Anne.It will be a big frog eaten to get that job done.
Sounds like a famous five holiday Mr SD and Salad sister are on. Good old fun and laughs messing about in the countryside.
Off to Nottingham today for the dentist.

The decluttering continues today, we had a lovely half term and I feel full of energy. Unfortunately dh is using my big bag that I use as a measurement for how much stuff leaves the house 🙄 so I am going to start counting items out instead. Going for 2024 😄. Back later to add numbers, hope you all have a lovely day.

Having a day off from the frog that I started at the weekend - made good progress on it yesterday and have other things to deal with today. Sorted out a few more papers this morning and several gone. Cleared out car at the weekend as it is being collected this afternoon. Just a few old tissues and parking tickets removed from the door pocket, everything else is to keep. I have been keeping the car pretty clean and tidy for several years now so it wasn’t a big task. Very much looking forward to my home being just as easy to keep clean and tidy too.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16

I dealt with two frogs: pick-up of our old dishwasher (it was left behind by the counsel's pick-up service, because they don't pick up things with plugs). It'll now be picked up by the region's secondhand shop, which is also the region's pluggy items recycling centre. They will check, repair and resell. The money goes to keeping the shop going; they train people with 'a distance to the work market'.I arranged for pick-up of the branches I cut off our buddleia last year, that just don't fit in the green bin. I was lucky to catch the announcement on the counsel's website that the spring pick-up is this Thursday!Husband sold a carload of printers, screens and computer odds and sods to an exporter for €350. Then, because we had some space again, he rearranged the large items in the garage. Relief! We can walk front to back now. He also carried up the 2 parts of the baroque display cabinet I inherited 15 years ago that has always been in storage. I cleaned it and noticed that the backs of the drawers were chipboard, so it's definitely not original, but I like it so it's staying. The 3 drawers now house the swimgear. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5918
