So ….. been a bit sneaky… due to sports and kids who actually drink water upstairs from their water bottles, we have accumulated quite a lot.
I hid quite a few whilst they were home to see if the sky would cave in etc… it didn’t and now some 3 weeks later I am going to go through them whilst i watch gladiators.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH has just phoned (17:20). We chatted for 20 minutes 😊 Everyone seems to be having a great first day. They had their lesson this morning & have all taken turns steering, tying up & raising & lowering bridges (5 of them 😥) Everyone is still getting used to steering so there have been lots of bumps 😉 although fortunately only one with another boat 😅 The weather has been kind - dry but chilly & they have been moving along at 2.5 miles an hour so didn’t quite reach the 1st intended stop at a pub 😔 G & E took the 2 wee doggies to the local shop & they will be having lasagne & garlic bread for dinner. The accommodation sounds quite cramped (so, guess what 😉 I am rather pleased that I was too unwell to go 🙊) DH tells me that apparently the boat can cater for 10 people but feels cramped with just 4 people & 2 dogs 😔 Bear in mind that there is one shower & 2 toilets so I am not convinced 😱 The towpaths are also very muddy so DH & DSis haven’t ventured off the boat for a walk yet 😉 as even the doggies are sinking into the mud 🙊 A bit more cheerleading
Lovely chatty post vulpix 😊 Fingers crossed my lurgy will be gone by the time DH & DSis are back 🤞 as I am getting a bit fed up now 😔 Your statement “Not been anywhere, not done anything, just read for a long time in the bath and then crochet a cat blanket. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing anything.I think I have had enough of winter now and rain. I could go through some drawers and find little bits to go; when did I last need writing paper and envelopes? CBA Tomorrows another day.” really struck a chord 😅 However, being on my own means I feel slightly less ‘guilty’ about doing nothing much 😉
2Scratters, the choice of MSE emojis is definitely limited 😔 Some excellent decluttering & tidying 👏 & very pleased to hear that you didn’t poison yourself 😮💨 Good luck with your listings 🍀
Excellent work Florafauna 👏 Pleased to hear that your new swimming costume kept you warm 😊 Do you watch Call the Midwife - as your mention of “extreme comedy moment trying to take it off” put me in mind of using a changing towel or ‘dress’ as the little boy commented 😉
charlies_tribe, very pleased to hear that you & DH have spent time with DCs & DGCs rather than decorating 😊 & you still managed to do a fair amount of decluttering 👏
Soontobeoap, now that is one heck of a comment 😉 & sadly I have no idea where all the dust comes from ☹️ As to your question, I only hoover under the bed when I remember 😂 Excellent decluttering 👏
Foofoopuppy, that sounds about right 🫣 Excellent decluttering especially the computer 👏 which reminds me that when DH & DSis get back the rather large TV needs to be taken to the Tip as it has been sitting around for months 😔
Great decluttering Muddy_Walker 👏 A fine line with newbies at work - although it would help if they took notes rather than asking the same questions over & over again 😉
TC77, a very busy day off & you got a lot done 👏 One of the many advantages of decluttering is that you have time to catch up with friends 😊 & I agree with Floss that you are making steady progress 👏
Just had my bowl of tomato soup with a couple of slices of bread. I had almost forgotten how delicious it is 😋

Hello everyone, finally finished the decorating and tidying of the top bedroom. All furniture in correct place. While I was doing this, DH was removing garden clutter including some old chairs, recliners etc from the shed. So two more bags to the charity shop and a mega tip run including old carpet, cardboard, garden table and chairs, parasol and two old lamps.
House is now finished, swam for 30 minutes at the lido and the sun was shining which was nice. Was mega chilly afterwards and drank plenty of tea.
Hope you are enjoying your home holiday @mrssaladdodger15 -
Mrs SD, sorry to hear you're not on the travels with Mr SD ans hope you get to fully recover and relax and their trip goes well.
Took more to CS some of yesterday's items and added more - still have to go to blackheath CS tomorrow,
2 pairs of earrings, jacket, dress, and 6 new cards, CD, binned ID card and suit carrier, plastic wallet and receipts ( slow going to check I don't need) and some paper declutter thinning out files.
Still to do frogs but adding . Counting as 16 and hope to do abit more paper sorting while watching K drama although need the subtitles!
Picked up book club book from library and resisted buying more from CS and took 1 shirt back from yesterday's purchases.16 -
Good evening. Had a quick tidy round the conservatory today and moved the clothes airers in to there now it's getting warm in there in the day.
Listed a huge pile of books on pay it forward and they're supposed to be being collected tomorrow by someone that has a group that puts books in parks etc. For people to read and then put back. If they don't collect there was quite a few more comments so hopefully they still go.
Probably won't manage much tomorrow as off to watch a competition final as one of the children DD dances with got through to the final so all the others are going to support.

Didn't post yesterday as all I did was put rubbish out. Did a bit off housework. Had hair done. Must have done something else but I've no idea what!.
Today was a little bit better.
520-521 Rubbish and recycling out.
522-526 Magazines into recycling.
527-533. Odd cross stitch kits recycled. They were from the 1990's. If I haven't done them in 30 years I can't see me doing them now.
534. bits of wrinkled veg thrown out of fridge.
Can't remember what people have said . Maybe start making notes.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Ilovetea xx

Not sure if anyone else feels as I do, in that at times I look around and know that if I only kept the things I really love I would have very few things and think it would trigger panic, and I'd be buying things so best to keep stuff, and that there would be things I have to replace as they're things I need and not love.
But very proud of myself as I find crockery and glasses etc hard to part with, and have too many jugs and vases, and then looked at the jar I keep utensils in labelled 'biscuits' which is very large, and decided to replace it with a vintage ceramic measuring jug which is 2/3 of the size and doubles up as a measuring jug (and perhaps in a year it will go), so the biscuit jar is in the CS bag and fills it to the top! If I tackle something on the next level it makes it easier to address similar things hopefully, so 17 to add and think another jug will go.tomorrow.
Have watchers on items but not actually buying except fingers crossed a vintage tablecloth tomorrow.
Still need to tackle the frogs!
did a little shredding so 18 +384 now 402
and making a list of a few more things I can think about parting with!18 -
Also looked out earrings - I've been wearing the same small fake pearl studs for about 3 years (bought in bulk as I lose them) but have some lovely earrings so going to try and wear and decide if I like or if not pass on, also 2 pairs which need new hook bits to go through your ears!15
