1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Typical that I have managed to avoid nodding off & am now almost wide awake 😔 Oh well I suppose it should mean that I catch up with the cheerleading 😉
319 - 320 Kitchen recycling & detritus disposed of
TC77, even Stacey & Dilly don’t ask anyone to cut 80%+ 😱 Also don’t forget you can keep items that are beautiful & lift your spirits 😊
wishus, I beg to differ on your assessment - laying the laminate flooring is “Real Decluttering” on two counts - it is no longer in your way + the job has been done 👏🥳
Well said QueenJess 😊
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏
Thanks for that QueenJess 👏 Loved the video & her voice isn’t too grating 😉
Liverpool_Anne, I will be keeping absolutely everything crossed that ‘this chap’ is not some kind of chancer & does a great job for you 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏 Beautiful work 😻
Excellent work moving along various projects Dfw38 👏 I am so pleased for you that your duties as executor for your Dad’s will are almost done 😊 A seven hour sleep just confirms your relief 😊 Also very glad that you & DBro are ignoring dsis & her ridiculous idea that there should be even more delay in scattering your Mum & Dad’s ashes. Some people are difficult to comprehend 😞
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 I will see you in the TLC Carriage 😉
vulpix, 6 years in May 😉 & we still haven’t tackled any of the crates, boxes, bags which are cluttering up the attic & wardrobe room 😔 Maybe now I have had a first pass at the first aid crate, I can build up to tackling a crate …. in the next six years 😂 Is there anything your declutterati family can do or say to persuade you to Be Kind To Yourself 🙏
Brie fingers crossed that “Rude boy” is not a time waster 🤞
More excellent decluttering florianatwobob 👏 Sending a medal🏅 🏅 each for you & DSis 😊
Thanks Muddy_Walker 😊 I find that the older I get the more I like ‘alone time’ 😂 but I will be popping in for tea & cake on a regular basis 😉 Sorry to hear that both you & MrM_W are feeling mentally exhausted 😔 Hopefully your day off has recharged your batteries 🤞Your hubby is a man after my own heart - sci-fi for me too 😉
Floss, not quite sure 😔 When I email DH tomorrow I will ask & get him to let me know their intended route (which I believe is weather dependent 😉)
Brie, well done on standing your ground re the refund 👏 Now that everything has been returned, you could devote a little time to check the rest of the refund 😉
Good luck with decluttering the water bottles tibawo 🍀
Florafauna, excellent work by both you & DH 👏 Very impressed so I am awarding you each a Gold Star ⭐️⭐️ - congratulations 🥳
TC77, I confess that I am really enjoying my ‘alone’ time 😊 Excellent decluttering - you are definitely on a roll 👏 Hope the weather stays dry for your trip to Blackheath CS 🤞
charlies_tribe, the conservatory must be a joy to tidy now 😊 Fingers crossed that the the books get picked up 🤞Not quite the same watching someone else’s child but your DD will love you forever 😍
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Congratulations to DS2 on passing his course with flying colours 🥳
florianatwobob, more floor space & hopefully lots more ££ in the kitty 👏
Excellent decluttering ilovetea 👏 Well done on biting the bullet by decluttering the cross stitch kits 😉
TC77 your observation “Not sure if anyone else feels as I do, in that at times I look around and know that if I only kept the things I really love I would have very few things and think it would trigger panic, and I'd be buying things so best to keep stuff, and that there would be things I have to replace as they're things I need and not love” definitely strikes a chord 😊 I do think though, that “Do I love it” should be the 1st question for personal/emotional items. For practical items required for day to day living, perhaps the first question should be how many of these do I have & which one is my favourite 😉 More excellent decluttering & well done on releasing the biscuit jar 👏 A medal 🏅 is now winging its way to you for tackling one of your more difficult mini projects 😊 Good luck with ‘Mission Earrings’ 🍀
All caught up & still not sleepy 😉 So will make a cocoa whilst doing my teeny bit of washing up - another advantage to being home alone 😅
Cwtches 🤗 & I hope everyone manages a good night’s sleep 😴

Had our Book Sale last Friday. Made $345 plus. We are considering raising our prices to $2 a bag. Next month, the children's books will be free. Have too many.
As you can see, we have too many books. In April, we hope to go back to outside sales as we do better there but we can't put as many books out. So March will be our big clear-out sale - we hope.
I have been busy restocking the carts as we have had more books come in. That and typing the indexes for the marriage records for the parish in Switzerland are about all I have gotten done between doctor's appointments for everyone (when I get my reading done). Otherwise, it is just the normal trash out, except I have roommate Di going through boxes of books to condense them while I type. Otherwise, she doesn't get to use the desk-top computer. She has "killed" two lap-tops though.

Oh, @weenancyinAmerica, such a shame the Library is so far away. In other news, I have joined Anaheim Library as an International Guest and had great fun looking up the history of Anaheim.
@MrsSaladdodger, enjoy your time alone! I’m really envious!
Hugs for everyone.16 -
Started a frog yesterday and nudged it along this morning. Have suggested to OH that we put the next few boxes of things that we have ready to go into the hallway so that they annoy us and we will then prioritise finding a day to take them where they need to go - we can have a lunch out and make a day of it so it becomes a treat rather than a chore.
Continuing to use up food stocks so slowly starting to see some space appearing in the kitchen which is very exciting.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -

What a beautiful Sunday it is! I managed to get to 8am Mass for the first time this year! Feels like an achievement! I've posted a photo of the pond near church, taken this morning, (see below)
Still not straying too far from the TLC Carriage, energy still fairly low and allergies are affecting me this week, but I am staying awake longer in the evenings and I'm in better spirits.
The scaffolding from the roofing work finally got taken away on Thursday and that was like a weight lifted from my shoulders. There's still stuff to be done in the house but it feels like I'm onto Phase 2 now.
I'm off today and tomorrow - this Tues - Thurs work pattern is great. Still finishing off my assignment, it'd be good to get that completed this weekend.
Tasks:
0In (running total 35)
36. New phone (refurbished)
Out (running total 62)
63. Scaffolding taken down
64. Old phone given away
Sending love to you all - I have been keeping up with reading posts but find it hard to remember who has posted what as the train moves so fast these days.... x

Hi all, bit done yesterday. I had a committee meeting first thing then just made it to the bank and moved some money around so I can get it out when the roofer has finished the job. I don't think he's a chancer really. I have checked his website and he is on checkatrader I think I was just surprised after trying to get this job sorted since August that it was booked to be done so quickly I can hardly believe it is happening. I had some emails to do following up from the committee meeting so decided to have a proper go at my emails while I was in there and I have deleted 400 emails, filed loads more and my inbox is now under 10 emails. Not sure why I left those few, I think I had reached decision fatigue and I was just fed up looking at a screen
. I also ordered my B12 meds as it's that time again
. Today there is a big footy match at Wembley but I was unsuccessful in the ballot for a ticket so I will be watching it on the tv. I think I am going to have another go at the kitchen before that starts and as the sun is out I will see if ln is in for a coffee over the fence
. Just remembered we need milk
so a very quick trip to the sm will be done first
. My mind is on the footy so all over the place
Right time to get weaving, hugs to anybody who would like one, hope you all have a great Sunday
303 bank stuff
304 meds ordered
305 - 308 400 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

no news from Rude Boy so think he's gone off to sulk somewhere.
looking yet again at the base of an oil lamp that I've had for about 50-60 years from my adopted grandmother. I've no use for it, don't really have a place to put it where it won't be a dust magnet and it can't be displayed to be appreciated. So considering yet again decluttering it. I can't imagine a charity shop is really going to want it but there's no where else for it to go short of being used for skeet shooting. sigh.
and long distance decluttering - I need to finish cataloguing mom's jewelery. I've got an itemised list and I've got photos - I just need to match them up and email the doc to my bros in Canada.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. You might not want to know what the dust is... 😨

I am feeling very low today and am procrastinating…….the newbie issues have wiped me out more than I thought and I slept all day yesterday. I can’t go into too much detail but suffice it to say a clash of personalities and expectations of being spoon fed is the majority of it.
i think I might just keep to myself workwise and keep a very low profile…….⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
