Brie, I gave a lot of spare oak work top from my recent kitchen away rather than faff about with it. I saved a piece from the previous kitchen with the idea that I would make a large chopping board. When I came to do it,it had warped in the shed so my friend had it for her fire. I also ditch people very quickly if they are in any way impolite on fb.
Florafauna, yes I think we could live near each other, but not for very much longer! You are movlng to a lovely part of the country.
Liverpool Anne, Bakewell pudding and Bakewell tart are two different animals, hahaha. I will be interested to hear your opinion when you get to sample the pudding.
Dfw, put a request on a local fb group for help with the reel to reel. There are loads of sad old blokes errr I mean people with an interest in electrical gubbins like my OH who would be able to help you.
I hope you are feeling better Mrs SD, it sounds like you succumbed to the lurgy a lot of people had at Christmas. It takes ages to shake off.
Not been anywhere, not done anything, just read for a long time in the bath and then crochet a cat blanket. Sometimes I just don't feel like doing anything.I think I have had enough of winter now and rain. I could go through some drawers and find little bits to go; when did I last need writing paper and envelopes? CBA Tomorrows another day.

I so miss the emoji's that we used to be able to use as I titter many a time about what we put down as it resonates so well.
Gosh not written much down for a bit.
Today managed to dispose recycle appropriately an expired hair conditioner - it had a competition label on with 2007 !!!
I'm so glad the bottle was physically breaking down as I was trying to decant it - then I smelt it.... err no washed down the sink and recycled bottle. I actually a couple of weeks ago use up the remainder of a packet of coconut with a date of 2017... we have not died. Also to go were decanted talc bottle and some bath stuff to be used in the shower and I threw out my loyal loofah.
Not much else gone but paperwork has been tidying up nicely.
Need to get some items on t'bay this weekend as 80% off charges.
I have managed to keep up with all that is happening with you.
Hugs to all who need and want one - have a good weekend

The new swimming costume and hat had their maiden voyage this afternoon at the lido. Felt warmer but had extreme comedy moment trying to take it off.

Good evening. Its been half term and DD2s 16th birthday this week so had a busy week but still don't seem to have done much. DH was off so we could decorate but we've managed none of it.
This morning we visited a localish (half hour away) free animal farm with DGD. It was a bit cold but the children loved it, especially the baby lambs and goats.
Thank you for the comments about returning the faulty shoes. I contacted the shop and today they are on their way back as our local store is still shut due to flooding before Christmas.
Hopefully will do better next week when the children are back at school.
Plastic storage box that I dropped and smashed
Doll taken home with DGD

@Soontobeoap not sure I should admit to this... but under the bed gets hoovered so far approximately once every 3 years 🫣
Super super pleased that we've finally taken the old computer for recycling. At first we kept it to try and take any important information off, but after trying a couple of different screens had to accept it just wasn't working.
But then it still hung around for 6 months before we were able to get it to recycling, which was today 🥳
Also finally got round to throwing all the hangers from when I replaced them with wooden hangers. Really not sure why it took me so long.
I've put a handful of items on vinted, but not getting any bites yet, so I'll keep them up for a couple of months and if no joy may just donate them.
Have had a handful of items coming in, but nothing big, and most of which is either replacing something which has died, or I have decluttered something to make space for it.18 -
Thank you vulpix and Liverpool Anne for the suggestions 😊 will look into it next week 👍

@Wednesday2000 hope you're OK as i know it can be painful.
Day off work, blood test, and submitted meter readings. Dropped bag at cs, took back jeans as not right and picked up rain coat ordered from St Marks and then a couple of items from cs. Realise more consumerist than I like to admit.
Also dropped off files etc tto bank of things, added and extra folder and dictionary, plates and 2 bowls to cs, large pepper grinder, glass jar and lid I was dithering about yesterday , side table collected when person promised, broken bits from another folder binned, tidied 2 shelves in the kitchen.
One item from cs to go back ( they don't have a changing room) and started a new cs bag.
Email and admin frogsnnot done so hope to get done tomorrow. Did got to furniture restorer and agreed they'll do the gplan side tables, upholsterer wasn't around but i have his no so will contact him next week..confusing as the name he is called is not the name on his card or shop! Been out with a friend and keeping in mind that decluttering gives me more Time for being with friends or doing things more important to me.19
