@Wednesday2000 snap, so was I. I didn't think there were many programmes that had tragedy as a base, they usually are just nomral people dealing with stresses. Personally, it'd be nice for me to see some childless people on thereTable finally cleared of stuff to go to people so many bags lining the hallway and I'll either wait or decide to taxi it round just to get it out...The cs bag is still in my car but I am not going out today for anything.Nice green shoots Mrs SDNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi18

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for coming back on Wednesday - I was safely ensconced in the TLC Carriage & completely forgot to come back out 😂Yesterday was another day of doing nothing apart from knitting - started a new scarf. I made Bolognaise sauce from scratch & served with conchiglie & grated Parmesan. Los bagged & frozen. Wudupa.
284 - 285 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
286 Kitchen detritus binned
Thursday started overcast (09:25) but is now raining & miserable to go with my mood as my coughing had woken me up 😔 Had most of my first cuppa before falling asleep on the sofa but at least I was sitting up so not too much coughing 😮💨 DH & DSis have just gone shopping in the car (13:30)
Brie, everything crossed that the ‘interested chap’ turned/turns up 🤞 It would be really nice to get rid of lots of bits & pieces 🤞

Dfw38, perhaps you should have left your ‘cheeky monkeys’ at the zoo for a couple of days 😂 Children have such short memories - having been treated to trips out & toys you would have thought that they might have been amenable to helping you with the tidying 😉or is that not how it works 🤣 Excellent work dealing with your 🐸👏
wishus, it will take time so please accept 🤗 Some excellent decluttering 👏& at this rate you will soon be receiving a gold star 🙂 Don’t forget to take a pic of your cleared space 😊

Haircuts for the dc have happened today. They were really misbehaving in the hairdresser (younger two mainly) and my blood pressure was through the roof. They aren't normally like that so no idea why they were like that today.
Completed another 🐸; eldest dd form and an accompanying letter for the autism assessment sent by the paediatric unit. Just waiting on the form the school have to fill in and I will send them off together.
I haven't tackled as many frogs as I had hoped to this month but I am focusing on the hardest (for me) ones. My next ones are to finish sorting through my mums jewellery, want to select a piece each for the dds, a piece of my dad's for ds and then I need to research how to use a reel to reel recording machine and listen to the tapes that dad recorded over the past 50 years to see if we can salvage any. Dad was a musician for fun and there must be close to 100 tapes to go through 🙀 not going to be easy to listen to as music was a huge part of dad's life but it needs doing. They take up so much space in my room of doom and in my head too. Chances are they won't play because they are so old and the tape deteriorates over time. I haven't the heart to just chuck without listening (which is what dbro and dsis have said they would do). Going to have roast chicken for dinner tonight as chicken cures all ailments and put my big girl pants on and make a start.2024 decluttering Campaign

reposted leftover kitchen counter and got an almost rude message back from someone on the lines of "you don't really expect to get THAT much do you?" I'm happy to negotiate - isn't that part of the thing with marketplace or gumtree?? Gave as polite a reply as I'm able mentioning a willingness to negotiate so potentially the chap will come back. @vulpix I think I live relatively close to you. I'd agree with all your suggestions for days out for @liverpool_anne.
If you love good hearty pub food and the best chips you'll ever eat, I recommend The George Hotel at Youlgreave. It's near both Bakewell and Chatsworth. If you go to Bakewell then make sure you try Bakewell Pudding, nothing like Bakewell Tart.
So our house offer has been accepted and we have booked in a survey for next week. I have been painting, cleaning and decluttering like a fiend. Can't even remember what I've got rid of.
We are moving to South Tyneside area. Have a good evening all x17 -

I love that idea of getting to the last layer @QueenJess
Keep thinking about getting rid of a nice very round glass storage jar, but its shape means takes up space out of proportion for its usefulness and would be great for sweets or biscuits for a largish family, seems too good to part with, and also a lampshade I bought new (real new) but no doubt reduced and think its nice but can't think where I put it.
DD1 rang me to ask if I found somewhere to move to would I really be able to do this given the amount of stuff.... I explained haven't got anywhere to move to and takes months.
Added 3 plates to CS bag (remember I have moved 4 side and 4 large plates from the eaves to the kitchen - don't ask), also 4 socks retired, some filing and a little paper declutter, also unsubscribed.
Off work tomorrow and have long list of frogs and then meeting a friend in the evening. And have arranged go see a friend at the weekend who lives near posh CS where I will take the things I had wanted to sell but know people will pay more in an up market CS,
New total 367.
I do want to be bolder in decluttering decisions and really want the time for other things than repositioning clutter
Shocking memory, remembered I threw out a plate storage thing (3 tier with one tier bent), when fed up of not being able to make a decision 36817 -
Evening.
Not much done in the way of decluttering today.

Hugs to those that need them.

Things seem to be coming in - a secondhand book, a magnet my brother bought me, an Italian dictionary (I have a library book I'm hoping to translate at least a chapter or two of to shift my written Italian along, and running things through google translate doesn't stick in my brain like print and handwriting does) - at the same rate they're going out. Still at 40 net, but 33 out and 21 in now.
