TC77 said:Aching more than today than when I tripped yesterday, lovely dr at hosppital about another matter told me I looked exhausted and said are you really ok, which given I feel exhausted and stressed nearly tipped me over. being discharged from her service but a 20 min pep talk about looking after myself and taking time doing things and not rushing around
also the importance of good habits and ensuring our brain remembers how to do things the right way.
Came home decided to take cup of tea and toast to bed to watch TV with my legs up
I was awake early again and I said yesterday I am going to get the majority of my steps in before midday from now on. It is raining typically, but the idea of going on the treadmill is more depressing than going outside in the rain () so I am about to shower and get dressed and go out to the beach and back. I just heard Kasabian's new song on Chris Moyles. Hmm, I'm not sure if I like it or not.
I am going to watch Sort Your Life Out when I get home.20 -
Hi chums turned out the battered things were chicken and believe it or not some battered mushrooms which I can't remember buying ,must have been those reduced things as I tend to remove the outsides and put in a ziplock bag to take up less room in the freezer.
I admit it makes me smile when I see her curtain-twitching and I feel a bit sorry for her, I've tried engaging with her to talk but she really doesn't seem to want to be very chatty to anyone in the road .
Most folk just ignore her poor soul ,but at least she gets a wave and a smile once a week for me
She's a good 20 years younger than me yet she really doesn't seem to have many people who talk to her . Her OH rarely says much either, he just cuts his hedge and assiduously sweeps all the cutting up into his garden bin.
Glaring at anyone who doesn't make sure every leaf is picked up when they cut their hedges I have off road parking in my front so don't have a hedge problem. But the pair of them seem to be rather an anti social couple and always are complaining apparently to local councillors for any minor infringements. Life is far too short to fall out over daft things but they certainly haven't made themselves very popular locallyBut I just smile and wave and as Billy Connelly would say "Give not a jot "
Today is the day for the bottom cupboards in the kitchen full I know of unwanted junk (prized kitchen stuff no longer used )so its one more cup of coffee (only 35 more day of being tea-less for Lent )
then its crack on with the decluttering
Have a great day chums, very like a new born baby here in north Kent extremely wet'n'windy

Driving home after putting an offer in on a house up North. Am quite nervous as we are waiting to hear back. If accepted then we'll be decluttering money for a survey. We'll be home in an hour and I have some decorating lined up and a bit more chucking away to do. Then a bit of cleaning. Will be decluttering some stress this evening as I'm out for a pub meal with a good pal.
Reading through the thread, there are a lot of us who are feeling alone and a bit tired as we work through the clutter in our lives. It's really easy to do loads and have no personal time. I don't mean to sound preachy but I did this for years aand it did me no good. I now do the nice things first and then get on with all the duty stuff after.
Anyway, have a good day folks and failing that, the best you can21 -

taking a break from moving very very heavy bits of excess counter (solid oak, 2 inch thick, 4 feet long, 3 feet wide!!) from a room full of debris and laundry to near the front door on the hope that chap shows up in an hour to collect and pay a nice sum. OH has pointed out some other building stuff not required so will ask if he wants that as well.
bonus to this is that in order to have a place to move the wood to OH had to move all the empty banana boxes used for kitchen storage while the work was being done into his big vehicle and then he added a couple of boxes of stuff for the charity shop (excess teapots etc). I put the big plastic supermarket crate into my car to take to work where it will be picked up by some supermarket delivery person.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Hi all, nearly got the washing dry on the line yesterday but the rain arrived at 1.55 which was 5mins early so it was a mad dash to get the washing in
. Still got mostly dry and on the maiden. 2 LDFPA. I had to pop out for a condolence card as I didn't have anything suitable in my stash but it has been posted off. I finally got to grips with the carp on the top of the microwave, lots of bits of paper into recycling, few bits of random plastic things into bag for the tip, no idea what they are / were but obviously saved in case we needed them
. I tackled the storage on my kindle, never done this before, so at least 50 files deleted, lost count
. I have started a new union thing which is going to take a bit of organising as I am now training a new person which means rather than doing things over the phone it will have to be a personal visit. Then after tea I got back to some sewing as a change from knitting
@Mrs SD your bulbs are doing well, I have a few daffs just starting to poke up but no flowers yet, the camellia is flowering thoughhoping you are feeling a bit better today. I have also been watching breathtaking and I will confess to crying while watching it. We were so badly served as a country and I feel so sad for the hospital staff. The comment about not recording the numbers of nurses who died says it all for me about the way the hospital staff were, and continue to be treated. No wonder there are staff shortages and strikes when people are treated in this way 😢.
@vulpix yes I knew blue john is running out, I have done the cave your which is why I was able to identify the broach. Not sure how good quality it is, it only coat £10 which is why I snapped it up but it is pretty and I like it, which is a good enough reason for me
. Wow fancy being able to just pick it up from the ground, I bet you can't do that now. I have never been to Chatsworth but it is a possibility while we are on our little trip this year. OH is not in the least interested but as we will have friends with us this time I might be able to go and leave OH to do something with them for the day
@tibawo a portable dishwasher, I didn't know they existed. OH will definitely want one of those, washing up being a pet hate but having a kitchen the size of a postage stamp means I have always refused to get one. I will investigate
@foxandflowers great amount of money made. I am impressed
@Brie well done on the ercol sofa and getting the cash.I think you did absolutely the right thing. I personally don't give my bank details to anybody to pay me for things, like footy tickets, I always ask for cash and the footy ticket goes to family
@Florafauna I couldn't agree more about doing the nice things first
Right off for some lunch, footy tonight so I will see what can be done before then. Hugs to everyone who would like one
275 + 276 LDFPA
277 card posted
278 top of microwave
279 deleted files from kindle
Take care everyone

Went through some emails last night. Intended to do 10, then 20, then 25, but then got into it and kept going whilst I was watching TV! Almost below 1,100 emails now.I moved the kids craft stuff into a box in the cupboard and instantly hated it because it is now rammed into the cupboard and is too full. Did a pile of shredding to get rid of a load of packaging (we have to put it in paper envelopes in order for it to be recycled by the council) and then managed to get rid of some activity books from the pile not yet given to the kids and some other bits in the drawer of doom (pending stuff to give to the kids at some point). I'm generally very good at decluttering, but I do find the kids stuff a challenge and particularly the stuff that is pending. DD is only 2 and so her interests are still developing and she is very different to DS. Trying to work out what to keep and get rid of is a nightmare. Clothes are worse as we do use the old clothes from DS, but DD has her own likes/dislikes and she is in different size tops and bottoms (and both are different to her age). Throw in random sized coats and I am completely confused and overwhelmed!Anyway, I am trying (slowly as it is difficult) to go through current size wardrobes and the pending drawer of doom (non-clothes) asking myself whether I can see us using it in the next year. If not, I am attempting to get rid of it, but it's hard going and I have irrational guilt of it being a "waste" not to use it and "what if..".Going to package up my Ziffit box of books after lunch and then go back to normal jobs/tidying before I pick DS up from school. Maybe DS will be inspired to go through some more of his stuff now I've got a couple of replacement bigger drawers from Ikea!Digital:
