@bit_by_bit, I am so pleased that you are getting to the bottom of the cuckooing and that hopefully your DB and DSil will get their vulnerable person's accommodation. We have had to deal with this as part of my job. It's such a hideous thing to happen to someone.
I've decluttered more warmth today at the lido especially as it was raining when I went in. I've also decluttered £130 buying a long sleeved neoprene swimsuit as I'm a frequent outdoor swimmer who has done it in a swimsuit only until now.
Small bit of decluttering today, two pieces of furniture to the charity shop, a jam jar recycled and a mouthwash bottle emptied and recycled. Also decluttered some Grasmere gingerbread into the mouths off my colleagues. I was bought a pack and shared it out so I didn't eat it all. A true taste sensation.
@mrssaladdodger, sorry to hear that Salad Sister is still upset and in hospital. Your DH is a star with all the visiting and bus catching.
Right off to carry on with the eternal scarf, only another 15cm to go15 -
Helloo I’ve been decluttering will do numbers later in the week.
Vulpix is there a Maggies Centre near you? They offer a ton of support to people and families of cancer patients. They do all sorts and the one closest to me was fantastic. Sadly a good drive away or I’d go regularly.
Just a thought perhaps? Might able to talk to MrV?⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Flamingo 747 The school is in Jasper Lane Curtisden Green , took him back there with lots of bits and pieces this afternoon. Had a good long natter with him, he takes his driving test this June so fingers crossed he will pass and be more mobile, as it is a good way out in the sticks if you haven't got a vehicle. Bless him he's a real romantic even though his brothers teased him he bought three large Valentines balloons for his girlfriend and tomorrow night they are off out to nice meal then a gig at O2 then probably a hotel in London for the night.
The boys bet me on Sunday night that as its the start of Lent tomorrow it was my turn to give something up.
Looking after them all growing up I would say if they wanted pancakes they'd have to promise to give something up for Lent.
So on Sunday Ben and Henry decided it would be my turn to promise to give something up, Henry said the hardest thing would be for me to abstain from my cups of tea as I'm a real teapot.
I said OK I'll do it and Ben said I bet you can't ,so I said how much ? and he said a fiver, Henry said he would double itand I said if I won I would give the tenner to the local food bank, so we all shook on the deal
Tonight I'm just having my last cup of tea until 28th March 40 days to go ! ! !its going to be a toughie but I'll give it a go.Ben said I could have coffee which I do drink but no where near as much as tea ,but I have some decaf Kenco in the cupboard so it will be coffee or water until the end of Lent
Oh dear what have I promised:)
They are lovely lads, and at time scallywags but good hearted boys
Back to decluttering tomorrow so an early start with the clothes and the main wardrobe first and then two chest of drawers
Onwards and upwards chums

@London_1 I asked Mr Flamingo and he says he thinks it's the same one 😀 how strange! He sounds very sweet. Good luck with the tea!

One of my roommates is really upset about the coverage given Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl Game. He gets really agitated about her. His daughter is absolutely crazy about her - I think she has memorized every song. Thank goodness he is in California and she is in Missouri. I used to have an elderly Australian neighbour and she would give up wine for lent and drink whiskey instead 🤔 she lived to 96 so I think she was well pickled. I think she led her vicar to believe she was given up alcohol every year !A side plate fell out of the cupboard lunchtime and broke the bowl it landed on, both declutterred to the bin luckily they were from my old set (brought 1988) not the newer one, I think I have 1 bowl, 4 side plates and 3 dinner plates, the plates are in a bag whilst I think would the charity shop want them? One small measure of gin and the bottle recycled this evening. It's unusual for me to drink during the week but it was annoying me and too good a gin to wasteLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin19

Hi, Thank you Floss. The gremlin was the blood test taken at the GP at the beginning of January was sent to a different hospital to the one the cancer treatment will be at. Mr V phoned the hospital secretary to say the bloods were at a different hospital and was given short shrift and told it was not his worry. Results went back to the GP and nothing done about it. There's other stuff but hopefully someone is on the ball with it now.
Someone from the Hospice phoned him this afternoon which was very quick. They don't intervene with the hospital. He also went in to our old work and had a brew and some banter with the chaps there. He says he is ok but seems quite upset. He says it has just sunk in that he isn't invincible.
Thank you muddy for the recommendation of Maggies centre. Very useful to know about them if we need them. There's one in Manchester and one in Sheffield that we could get to. Our local hospice is very good, I had help from them myself when I had breast cancer.
Liverpool Anne and Mrs SD, I am always on the look out for the next move, I look on rightmove every day,but perhaps I should shelve it for a while just now. I used to have a couple of houses that I rented out. I have always bought the worst house on the best street and renovated and sold on. My plan with this house is to do holiday lets and buy a bungalow for us. I love everything about property renovation, this house was the 8th not including the rentals.
I made a tote bag today for DIL with another tapestry I found at Mum's. Using up the very small fabric stash that I have. I have also made 2 little jumpers for DGS. Using up wool and button stash. Son and family are visiting from Oxfordshire on Friday. Yay!
Pleasingly the toiletries from MIL's and her cleaning product stash are reducing.
Mr V came home with a gift today, a necklace with the local Blue John stone. I don't often wear jewellery but It is to say what he can't , Thank you for my support. I will wear it.
Hope Salad sister comes home soon.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH spent half an hour in our new car - setting up the seat, mirror & steering wheel. Putting a couple of destinations into the satnav & he even phoned me using voice activation 😉 He then practised reversing on & off the drive to get used to the controls. I managed to wash & tumble dry DSis’s clothes by 16:15 + made up a flask of tea. DH left a few minutes later & will get the bus as they seem to be working again🤞 As I thought would be the case I have done nothing else this afternoon apart from keep nodding off only waking up to sneeze, cough or blow my nose - sometimes all 3 at once 😂 When I manage to stay awake for more than a few minutes I have been knitting a couple of rows of the baby blanket 😉 or trying to watch TV……. DH got back about 20:40 & ordered pizza for tea - no extras but we still have plenty for snacks tomorrow. DSis was taken off oxygen for a while but when she came back from her shower her sats had dropped to 93% so she is now on 1% to 2% oxygen. Her pin !!!!!! blood sugar tests go up & down like a yo-yo but when she has the proper test her blood sugar levels are fine. Our DB (in Germany) was finally notified that she is in hospital so he phoned & spoke to her - she managed the whole conversation without coughing once 🥳 Today seems to have been a 2 steps forward, 1 step back sort of day 👏

Brie, sorry to hear that you had to spend so much time in A&E 😔 but pleased that you finally got seen & treated 😥 We are rather lucky that The Royal London has a department called UTC (Urgent Treatment Centre) for conditions that require treatment but are not strictly A&E. Fingers crossed that you get a refund rather than a credit note 🤞Hope the kitchen is now finished including the the tidying up 🤞
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, every session of decluttering regardless of how many or how few items are decluttered, is a win 👏
vulpix, so very sorry to hear that MrV’s treatment still hasn’t started 😔 Now that Rachel is on the case, hopefully she can cut through the bureaucratic red tape 🙏 Feel free to vent your frustration - not only will it help you release some stress but there might be some members of our Declutterati Family (like Floss) who can provide some extra information 🤞Although as you say, the NHS is so large now that it has become very unwieldy + the serious underfunding over many, many generations means that it will continue to be overwhelmed 😔 Not sure what the answer is but the proverbial ‘WE’ should fight tooth & nail to keep as much of the NHS as possible - OK, I will get off my soapbox 😉
Excellent work clearing on-line accounts QueenJess 👏 Also very pleased to see that you realise how far you have come in the last couple of years 😊 Good luck dealing with your frogs 🍀
flamingo747, good luck taking the plunge & taking stuff to the CS if it fails to sell on-line 🍀
Wednesday2000, good luck finding your 8 items to declutter 🍀 Some excellent decluttering & well done on the pound loss 👏
Siebrie, well done that lady 👏 Dealing with other people’s photos would fill me with horror & fear 😱
Crazycatlady2, bravo eldest DS 👏 Hopefully the rearrangement means he has more space 🤞& well done DD 👏
flamingo747, good luck with finding the motivation for decluttering weight rather than snacks 🍀😊
short_bird , I had to laugh 😹
oceanspirit, hopefully you & I are storing up energy so that we can tackle lots of decluttering when Spring is finally sprung 🤞😉
I have reached the end of a page, done the wudupa & have a lemsip to drink before going to bed. Hopefully I will stay awake long enough tomorrow to catch up with the rest of the cheerleading 🤞

Morning All, so many posts to catch up on. Off to West Wales today, just need to pack and get ready, cue the next couple of hours will be busy. Had a lovely couple days with my mum, lots of eating and walking. Even managed some decluttering which I need to tally up. @Mrs_Salad_Dodger your correct my mum doesn't judge, decluttered the mending pile, cleaned the stains on the sofa and generally helped. Though did mention I have too many clothes 😳 😅 (she might be right!)18
