Hi all, just thought I'd let you know that i sent an email complaint to m and s after they cancelled an order. THey have replied and have credited my account with £10 and they said in their email they are working on their "availability systems to try and prevent this in the future".
At least i can now afford a more expensive coat than the sale one.0 -

I had a couple of items cancelled on my order - and the rest are delayed by 2 weeks, so only one item due to arrive! I've email m & s as they are now me postage and the original order was over £30!
Will let you know what happens:beer:0 -

I ordered xmas day, havent heard anything yet!!!
When am I going to see m and s on watchdog, it may "help" them to get their online site in order
Personally I think this is a great idea of photome's, my suggestion would be that everyone who has made an order on M&S's website and had at least one item cancelled, delivery added, or delvery date pushed back could go onto watchdog's website (bbc dot co dot uk slash watchdog) and fill in the form - it's really easy to do online, for M&S you would just select shopping, then department stores, then give them your details and a brief story of what happened, and send it! If they get enough complaints hopefully they'll contact M&S on the consumers' behalf!
Having read on here what happened in the summer I didn't even bother trying to order in the sale - I've only once ordered online from a M&S sale, but I've got to say I've obviously been lucky - the only time I have ordered online from them I got exactly what I wanted with super-quick delivery!
Can't help but feel really sorry for everyone who has been let down.OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -
I am a bit  at the mo. how have some peeps got postage back or £10 voucher i don't know. i sent them an email as have now charged p&p as product out of stock and items now not coming untill the end of jan. Got a reply just saying can't have free p&p on sale items so i have sent them another email with a screen shot of the free P&P on the sale page. I have been more angry with them than my last email as didn't want to go in all guns blazing but they are really getting me fired up if still no joy i will cancel my order. Who's up for complaining to watch dog then hands up.:T:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0

Hiya
I've just had a phone call from them and they have given me free p & P back. they said the offer ended on christmas day - I placed the order on Christmas day so I'm not sure what she is getting at. I looked online and its still showing but I will email them back if they don't remove it! Good luck to you all!:beer:0 -
It's rubbish, the promotion for Free delivery did not end on Xmas day, it's in their system and applied automatically when I placed my order even on 27th. Their system, like every other e-commerce system, has some bugs, but the important thing is Customer service. I will write them an email, my whole shopping got lost.Have you got something to share - Do it.

May I suggest that you actually phone Customer Service with your complaints. It is far more effective and you can then push for effective / appropriate action - eg removal of P+P cost etc
Regarding the compensatory £10 credit do you really want to make future purchases and go through all this again? Their attitude is a tad arrogant!
I politely told them what to do with their offer, and it was converted to paper vouchers that I used in a real shop;) .I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
