Marks and Spencer sale

Some of my orders are now showing as 'items being despatched soon' but nothing has arrived yet my sister ordered at the same time and hers arrived. Hers was a smaller order than mine and the problem I think is that if one item is out of stock, then your whole order is delayed. Ive received six emails saying that some of my items are out of stock but they have not told me what exactly so I dont even know what I will be getting.
Im really fed up with this, fingers crossed some things will turn up :mad:0 -
I'm sure that those of you who are annoyed at Marks & Spencer will be pleased to know that Stuart Rose, M&S Chief Executive, has just been given a Knighthood for his "services to the retail industry and corporate responsibility"! Someone is taking the pee.
Wonder what he'd get if his company was actually any good?You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
My delivery has now been changed to 8th - 10th January, nothing else has been cancelled YET but with delivery 2 weeks away there is time for them to cancel more.
Placed 5 orders (each was about £30 to meet free delivery) on 25th Dec all orders placed with short delay and were done by 1am. Result:
4 dispatched with only 3 items were out of stock
1 order has not been even touched and delivery moved to 8th January.
I contacted M&S and check on the order, they told me lots of crap. When I wanted to check on the status she told me that most of the items are out of stock now. Not getting my order - very very upset, it was my lot, so nothing for me from M&S. Glad that my kids will get few things and wife.
I think some orders get lost/forgotten, not sure if it will help to enquire about such order.Have you got something to share - Do it.

I had my first order arrive yesterday morning. My other orders are still going through although the dates have slipped a little since I placed them on Boxing day. Oh, just checked & one has been despatched. I cancelled a couple of items that said they were 3week delivery as I didn't want to hold up the rest of the stuff. It's always a bit hit & miss with them but getting out to the sales is not an option, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.0

Anyway hope you all get your orders.
It's way over the top to say that you always take a risk when buying online. It's something that would have been said about 6 years ago, when online ordering was fairly new and unknown.
These days every large company (and small companies in my experience) will delivery your order without fault.Amo L'Italia0 -

I know it's no consolation but if it helps at all babyb you can find out which items will definitely be missing (who is to say whether or not the rest will go out of stock or not :mad: ) by doing the following:
1) Look at (or print) the first email you got confirming your order with the list of everything on it your ordered;
2) Go to M&S website and click on the 'my account' tab at the top and sign in with your password;
3) click on 'track my order' (or words to that effect)
4) this should give you a list of what they are currently saying they will deliver... with an estimated delivery date... no guarantee of course that this will happen! :mad:
HTH and good luck! Why they can't give us this info in the email is beyond me! :mad:
They were quick enough to list everything I ordered in the initial confirmation... and to those posters who think I am being harsh on M&S, my frustration is not based on the item going out of stock between putting it in my basket and sending all my payment details etc (which would have caused a few minutes annoyance and an almost immediate knowledge of the situation) but, having received a confirmation of my order from them and then for them to wait 3 days to tell me 3 items are out of stock, another day to email with yet another item out of stock and, lo and behold, today I get yet another email with a later expected delivery date to the one they stated less than 18 hours ago really takes the biscuit (to put it politely)!!!! :mad: Breweries, organise and parties come to mind!
Up until about 5 years ago I though M&S were fabulous... I bought as many of my children's clothes there as I could afford as the quality was second to none and their returns policy and practice so brilliant... I always paid a little more for their stuff but it was value for money as it lasted 3-4 times as long... nowdays that's gone to the wall!I really miss the first class service and quality it used to be!

Well. One order and one confirmatin. Now, 7 single emails saying ONE or MORE items are out of stock. Nothing delivered, but it seems they are picking an item a day and when they find it is out of stock, they email me. Then the start again the next day. At this rate, I will having nothing left out of a big order but won't be told until 25 January, one item per day.0

Same thing is happening to me! Getting an email a day saying something is cancelled then have to go online and find out what it is then realise the delivery date has been put back yet again!
Think I will have to go instore and see if I can find anything from my order but probably too late now.
They mucked me about in the summer and promised me gift vouchers as compensation and never received a thing and now it's all happening again!
Don't think I'll bother next time!0 -
I have just had an email cancelling my whole order - EIGHT items - I bought early on 25 December. I have demanded compensation.0

I've had problems too like a lot of people here! Around four items cancelled taking me to around £27 so below to £30 free delivery bracket so I've been charged for that - I know this happened to a few on here so I rang up to say how unhappy I was with this! Was then told that the free delivery code wasn't applicable to sale orders(!?) and it ran out on the 28/12/07 - however I placed my order on 25/12/07 just after midnight and I told the guy that it had discounted my p&p on my original order which was over £30!
He told me to ring once I had recieved my order, I'm wondering whether I should email them as a few of you on here seem to have already recived a refund for p&p. Hmm.0
