I just had a phonecall from Capital One concerned about fraudulent use of my card - by someone using M&S online. It raised an alarm with them because M&S have billed Capital One (for two orders, bear this in mind) in 8 separate payments. Still totalling the right amount, but split the costs into 4 for each order!

Glad my card isn't being used fraudulently, but I wonder if M&S realise that taking so many payments on the one day does raise suspicion?!

Very pleased with Capital One, though, for calling me and bringing it to my attention!
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".

I have also had the out of stock e mail I placed my order at 6.00am xmas morning. The rest of it is just showing as a delivery date 3rd - 10th January. 2 of the things I bought at full price before xmas for a wedding later in the year which I intend to return, but am not risking that until the others arrive. I am going shopping in Marks today so if I see them instore I wiil buy them again and return all the others. If they cannot get there act together they can pay for the return postage.

My delivery has now been changed to 8th - 10th January, nothing else has been cancelled YET but with delivery 2 weeks away there is time for them to cancel more.
  • Whoopy-fricking-doooooo! I've just had an email to say that (what's left of) my order has been dispatched. How long does delivery usually take? As it says my delivery estimate is still 4th Jan.

Edit: oooh it says 1 package and gave me tracking no., so I assume it'll contain everything?
  • All the stuff I ordered at 15 mins past midnight when the sale started was delivered today (26 items). Was messed about terribly last year, so used mulitple small orders above £30 to get free delivery and orderd nice and early.

ordered a tad before midnight on Xmas Eve - all stuff bar one item now on its way - a result.
  • then dont buy them from the online store and go into store to buy it you always take a risk when buying online .

That's baloney. Marks and Spencer online are atrocious all year round. Amazon can do it and so can all other big companies to one degree or another. Marks are awful and whoever is in charge should be sacked. Bring a manager in from Amazon to show them how online retailing is done.

I never bothered ordering in this sale because both of my previous orders were completely messed up. You certainly take a risk when you order with Marks and Spencer and the risk is they will take weeks to deliver nothing when their website shows 24 hour dispatch. And you will receive no communication never mind an apology.
  • You are of course entiled to your opinion but to say its balony is a bit harsh.Amazon's service has gotten worse over the last year.
Anyway hope you all get your orders.

I did an order about 11.45 Christmas Eve, two items so far have been cancelled off so far and its etimated delivery is now 21st Jan, like any of that is ever likely to come!!

    Not impressed at all.
