A couple of things that i really wanted have gone missing off my order. Pair of shoes and a jumper, and i ordered about 11:30 Christmas eve, so am well annoyed.
Have emailed them to complain and they have emailed back to say... thanks for letting us know.. and thats it...
I think i might phone them up tomorrow... i want to know what time things when out of stock!:mad:Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
I placed about 18 orders and have already had half a dozen "we're sorry" letters. Don't you hate it when they don't tell you what's been cancelled! I've also had some orders dispatched. I assume that the ones online that can't be altered are probably safe but with the rest nothing's certain!0

Is it correct that the same items on the website are also reduced instore? I went to my local M&S this morning and left empty handed shortly therafter due to the dearth of genuine sale items. Is it possible that the items on the shop floor just hadn't been stickered at this point?
As far as I'm aware, yes. I was in three M&S stores today and some items that were stickered in one store hadn't been done in others, and stuff that was on the website that was reduced wasn't stickered in some stores, even by lunchtime. The items will be reduced on the computer though so if you know it's reduced on the website you can ask an assistant to check the price for you.Val.0 -
You know what really makes me laugh is the labels on the clothes do you notice they say intelligent stock control(or something along those lines) i would like to know how they can call it that
especially as it appears there own systems don't even know what stock they have and just let people continue to order regardless!!I didnt even attempt ordering online this time after last times fiasco!!:(
Anyway i went instore today to change a pair of PJ's and slippers got a good few bits(housecoat £3, slippers £3 a pair, nightie £3, PJs £9) for the same value so i was well pleased,so i joined the refund/exchange queue(which had a big sign up saying the queue i was in was for that purpose)waited 20mins got to the desk to be told"sorry refunds only @ this till point" I then got into a battle of wills as to where there was a sign stating that point!!Of course there wasn't one, so i got my exchange and left asap before i said something i regretted and got barred for life:o Never got a chance to look in the other departments so will head back tomorrow!!:D Ain't we just suckers for a bargain:DThought for today:-
There comes a time in your life when you realise who matters, who used to matter and those that never did;)
:T Now facing my debts instead of hiding from them!:T
Thanks to everyone on here than has helped me through my darkest days!:D0 -
I am just amazed that I still have some items in my order and that according to one screen some items have been dispatched (although that does differ to another screen under the same account!) I deliberately over ordered knowing I would have some cancelled.
Last year was such a shambles that anything I receive is a bonus.
I have had very mixed service from M&S since 2003. Messing up my wedding list, but then getting some fantastic large items right a few months later. Then hopelessly messing up some subsequent orders to then getting it right again. The problem with this company is consistency. I wonder if it is down to whoever is in charge at the time, as their IT 'decisions' do seem to differ so much over time.0 -
I would never use M&S online again after my experience in the summer. The order took weeks to arrive, half the stuff I ordered was out of stock although was fine when i ordered it, and they then had the cheek to charge me postage as the value of the order then fell below £30. They grudgingly refunded the postage when I complained.
This is not online, this is M&S online, and it stinks0 -
Had an email last night to say that the rest of my stuff has been despatched. I ordered at 6.45am on Xmas Day (well I was up anyway LOL!) and my order was 14 items, all of which have come. Can't say I've had a problem at all, so it obviously works for some people.
And I got a Next VIP slot, so ner-ner-ner-ner-ner.....it's obviously my week.;) :rotfl:0 -
Just had the first part of my order placed on Christmas Day delivered.
This was stuff from the Christmas shop and some bed linen.
Now I am waiting for the childrens' clothing which has a despatch date in January.0 -
I have had 2 items removed from my order, making it under £30. As expected, they have now added postage. I've sent a snotty email and await their response.
