As M&S obviously are choosing to give TERRIBLE on line service during their sales, please COMPLAIN if your order is changed, cancelled, if the delivery date is altered, if you are charged P+P due to unexpected O/S items, etc etc and ask for compensation: they have taken your order, charged you for it then given priority to somebody else. This is breaking the contract of sale.
Do not be fobbed off with a discount on your next order - you will only be put through the same fiasco. Why waste your time again? M&S know the system is bad as lots of people complained in the Summer, yet they have done nothing to improve it.
M&S must realise that their customers should be treated fairly. Their shop service is very good, the on-line system should be too.
After what happened to me in July I really sympathise with all the disappointed customers now. Don't let them do it in the next M&S sale! Complain, and let them know what to improve.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
My first order has now been despatched without any items showing oos.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Never had a problem with M+S online ordering at all, been using their site for many years - often get free delivery with offer codes too.0

same thing happened to me today. Recieved an email letting me know that a coat i'd ordered was out of stock and that the order had been cancelled. They hadn't charged the account yet so that's ok. but it's just a little annoying! My mum had the same experience in the summer (not during the sale). She didn'teven get notification her item had been cancelled.
Service in store is great (i should know i used to work for them:p ) but online is poor to say the least.
Now im going to have to brave the rain(and the sales rush!) to look for a coat!0 -

This happened to me with the summer sale. I'm always amazed at how good M&S are with their stores and yet the online ordering doesn't match up. To be honest, even when there is no sale on you can get those emails later saying that the item wasn't in stock and the order is cancelled. Even when it is in stock the delivery can be ages. It's time they started trying to match Next with the online ordering and delivery system.

I've sent them an email, i'm not really the complaining type of person ( i work in customer services so i know what it can be like sometimes working with dodgy systems which are the managements fault).
Hopefully they'll send me some sort of discount code, i've got my eye on another coat with them which is a bit more expensive (i don't learn do i?;) )0 -
I'm REALLY p*ssed off with their service (though I have bought from them in the past and this has never happened)... I got an email this morning to say one of my items is out of stock. My order was bang on £30 so now I am being charged delivery. Surely they aren't allowed to do this and amend my order (ie add postage) without my permission?
I would rather have bought a different bra and added it to the order, than cough up for delivery... at least I'd see something for my £3.50!

I realy can't believe this is happening to me - everything in the 5 seperate orders I sent in at midnight at the start of the sale have been despatched today!!!
I placed another order yesterday and a one today after I came back from the sales but nothing as yet heard about them.
This is the best service I have had from them in a long while. Mind, I have complained at all the other times I have ended up with nothing and got either money off my next order or vouchers.
Perhaps they now consider me a troublemaker and do my orders first!! I hope so anyway.
