    Wow, can't believe it is September already!  July and August are crazily busy months for me, and I hadn't realised I haven't updated for a little while;

    #47 t2rry reporting £1,000 for September please.

    I've opened another regular saver and going to get OH to do the same this month so our regular savers will increase to £1,500 soon, in the real world it's a strange thing to be excited about but I feel like here people will understand!

    How many regular savers do you have to squirrel away £1,875 per month?
    9. Some are maturing soon and some are being kept open with minimal amounts in case rates become competitive.

    I've deposited £6,175 into 26 of mine over the last 2 days, plus I made a couple of deposits into lower rate regular savers at the end of August (2 Monmouthshire regular savers matured on 30th so my deposits came exclusively from these funds).

    I then expect to be funding another 2 later in the month, a Coventry loyalty RS that goes by account month so won't let me deposit into it till 17th, plus the 8% regular saver YBS will be launching next Monday.

    At the end of the day the extra interest all adds up.

    Just putting this here for later reference - my August regular savings have all gone out, so I have put my standard £1,000 away.  However, it is now 'summer' and we have kids holiday clubs and a family holiday to get through, so I think I'm likely to take £1,000 out of my slush fund (easy access savings) to pay for it, rather than feeling the pinch throughout, which might somewhat put a dampener on the time to otherwise make memories.

    I feel like I should therefore report August as a £0 month as I'm paying into some savings but taking out of another.  I'm not too worried by it, I am still ahead and have had good news recently that means our disposable income should go up in the next couple of months, making my target very achievable and in fact I should be able to exceed it pretty comfortably.

    I continue to monitor it all closely so will report back at the end of the month officially
    @t2rry - was it £0 for August (that is what I have put in the spreadsheet

    We have a Co-op bank account and the Savings Plus account that sits behind with all the scrapings in, is paying 4.75%, which is better than most regular savers and without the £200 per month limit that many have. Just the £85k FCA limit (which I have 2 chances of meeting, No chance and cat in hell's chance).

    Hopefully this is helpful
