  • #19 Caeraugirl adding £1000 for September

Regular savers and pension contribution will be going out in next day or two so updating total now.

Have "flexibly retired" from NHS last month, and just waiting for my pension payments to start - hoping I can save more as a result as plan is to save the pension and live on the reduced salary as a practice run for retirement. Ultimately I'd like to live off the pension and save the salary, but that's going to be a big reduction and might take a few steps before I can achieve it.

  • Well August has been a complete nightmare. The story of the squatter is on my diary, but that combined with needing a new mobile phone and to pay for a bit of a family event has meant that August has been a fail. I could wait for monthly interest to be paid, but I'm going to roll that into September and draw a line under August now.

#29 reporting -£220.07 for August. Yes, minus. :(

Spreadsheet updated.  I really cannot believe it is September tomorrow.

I will be saving zero in September as we leave for South Africa next week so I will not be around much and will be spending a  fair bit this month.  @Suffolk_lass is doing a grand job though as co updater so I leave you in her capable hands.  Lots of bright green on the spreadsheet now so a fair few reaching their targets now. Keep saving.

How many regular savers do you have to squirrel away £1,875 per month?
