  • I've recently taken partial retirement, and the lump sum and first couple of months of pension payments have just hit my account.

I'm not going to count this cash injection in my total savings for the year, but hope to increase my savings for the rest of the year and may update my target once I've had time to sit down and work out my new income.

Way overspent this month, not only for myself but helping friends who are struggling at the moment. Definitely won't be hitting target this year. I'm going to have to look again at my budget I think

£698.22 to add for September, not bad considering car bill heavy month (tyres and insurance).
    • #29 reporting in for September. After a slightly more expensive than planned holiday, lodger moveout and car repair, I'm thankful to be able to report a saving of £30.59 this month. At least it isn't a minus figure.

      September total: minus £3010.24
Booked a BIG trip - using up some of the "f**k-it fund" I've saved up over the last few years - thank you to the lady, whose name I have long forgotten, who introduced me to that term

#19 Caeraugirl with £1000 for October.

Will be adding extra to the pension pot for the last two months of the year, and this year's payrise back pay will finally arrive next month too, so plan to squirrel that away as well.
