Hope you manage to get some rest and relief x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks Blackcats, KK, Agatha and Jwil
Was awake / dozing from 4.30am but TBF - I'm also spending most of the day (but rarely evening) dozing so my body clock is all out of whack! I caught up on lots of diaries last night - will try and visit a few more today.
I ate slightly more yesterday - so time will tell how much of my recent weight loss stays off versus goes back on. I know EH - you worry about weight loss targets - but in this case I need to lose weight so I can minimise the risk of this illness reoccurring and lower my operation risk factors. It is also one of the few tangible measures of what's going on with me at the moment...
I've hung some more clothes in my wardrobe - and thereby emptied a couple of cubes. Pretty much everything in my bedroom belongs there... I moved one box of mainly bedding out of the room. Later I need to pull the washing out of the dryer - and fold / hang it and put it away. Baby steps. Will start by putting it in a bag.
Yesterday I had an extra air purifier delivered and set that going in my work from home space to hopefully help get rid of the black mould in there. At some point over the last few days I also re-sprayed the wall with anti black mould stuff - and it is now looking much better. I've also had my window and the window in there open a crack - particularly when I'm not in it - so that some air flow is going in. The handyman said it was definitely the right call to do the recent work - and that over time the rooms should dry out and the black mould should stop reappearing.
Because of this illness I missed my hair appointment yesterday - so that's a bit irritating! I had let him know - but while I'd rather greys didn't show - it's more the extra hair that I find annoying... I'll probably have to see people at Easter (if I'm well enough to even go) - with my hair at least 3 weeks overdue. 1st world issues I know but it's still a shame.
I have a food delivery coming later - and am planning to cook some chicken and casserole veg - and see if my body can tolerate the greater variety...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

My best friend is currently waiting for gallbladder surgery and also loosing the extra baggage to lower risks. I know when I was waiting for mine to be took out one night I decided ‘what’s the worse can happen if I have something fatty’ Que a 3am visit to A and E for morphine ! I didn’t do it again ….. once I’d got over my recovery from the surgery I felt so much better and touch wood not had any side effects.Sealed pot challenge 822

Thanks Dawn - that was a scary life lesson from the sound of things with the fatty food and A&E trip.
I can't seem to shake this fever. Pain has been reasonable today - but I'm on a 4-5 morphine plan today rather than the 4 which is a shame but we are where we are. I decided to skip the ibuprofen - as there have been some studies that suggest it can slow the healing.
Today's food:
2 slices of bread and banana. A very small jacket spud, a slice of ham, salad leaves, spring onion and a few small tomatoes. A small glass of pure fruit smoothie. A few sweets. I'm trying to follow the net guidance which seems to suggest aim for 3% fat or less ideally - and no more than 30-50g of fat across the whole day. I doubt I'm anywhere close - as I'm so scared of triggering the harsher pain. Managed a decaf coffee and lots of water.
My food delivery substituted my casserole veg which was a blow but other than that I'm sorted. Decided to leave cooking the chicken to tomorrow. I have a counsellor appointment midday tomorrow - she changed the time on me today - with my consent - as with being off work it doesn't really matter what time the appointment is as long as it isn't hideously early. The handyman is due back Tuesday.
I've done a fraction more tidying of the living room today. I also unpacked and packed the dishwasher so feeling more virtuous. Still need to wipe the counters. I'm trying to distract myself from the pain today - watching some nature documentaries and with tiny bits of tidying and giving things homes. My Am**** parcel hasn't arrived yet.
Cat hasn't returned after stopping out overnight.
DD may call by later but hasn't confirmed nor given me a time.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Lucielle - DD is not now coming. She doesn't want to risk passing on a head cold.
DS is due to ring in an hour or so though. Not really napped much today.
I have completely put away the stuff I washed and dried yesterday so that feels like a result. I now have a specific place to use as a PJ drawer too inside the wardrobe.
Just has a few strawberries, green grapes, a drizzle of smoothie and some meringue.
I'm going to take my next lot of meds soon. I have occasionally dropped into sleep / dozing today - but most of it I've been fairly awake. I need to follow up with the GP as I'm due some of my long term meds and am likely to continue needing some short term ones too.
I'm a bit wary of the black mould in bedroom 2 behind the blind. Need to get that taken down - spray the wall and the blind and see what recovers. I then need to gradually find homes for things. I have enough built in storage - it's just a matter or being more organised.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

My cat is now back having left the kitchen window open for him all day. I've returned to bed. DS out on a date. Will ring on his return.
The binoculars I bought are far too heavy so will need to return them.
I need to ring GP and sort some meds. I'll run out by Wednesday otherwise.
I get paid the end of next week with a huge deduction for unpaid leave I haven't been able to take. Hope that gets resolved easily and that I can just add it to the end of the sick note (or after any extension).Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
