Thanks Lucielle, Beanie, Watty1, MF and ES
Today has been a better day. Managed to get some food inside me and keep it around 5.30am (meringue, jelly, 0.5 s0ler0 & tangerine) and built from there. Had 2 slices of white bread and a banana split across 2 meals. Chicken noodle soup for tea. A few sweets and grapes. A repeat of the meringue dish.... Actually managed to drink decaf coffee today - previously only managed a few sips before went cold - even in thermos mugs.
I was trying too hard to avoid using morphine at lunchtime so left myself in unnecessary pain for too long - but think I may now have found a schedule that works. I'm allowed up to 6 tablets a day. I'm aiming for 4 today and will then try and reduce down from there. Plus paracetamol and anti-sickness drugs. Started using the tens machine after lunch and it made a huge difference.
I put a load of washing on earlier - need to make myself do something with it before bed. Still need to choose a replacement dryer.
One health enquiry got a response - so I think I will tablet count tomorrow and then plan accordingly in terms of setting up the switch of GP.

Today was satisfying in terms of the handyman list.
He moved my triple wardrobe from WFH room yesterday (mirror in middle panel). He's sanded where the sellers had previously had a TV. He's then attached a heavy mirror to the wall although I may ask him Tuesday to swap it for a different one I have. He's hung an extra large triptych of Scott N canvases - so this room now needs tidying but is pretty much done.
He's hung 3 of my paintings in my WFH room and removed a weird shelf come noticeboard. He's moved the blind fitting in there further away from the window so less likely to get black mould. He's then hung a new blind.
He's hung a large picture above the landing window and applied privacy film to the latter as the blinds I bought were too big and couldn't be cut down. I should get a £60 refund for that pair of blinds.
He's fitted a long baton style usb rechargeable light in the under stairs cupboard.
The house is slowly turning into a home that reflects me. His efforts are also reducing the mess. He fetched me food and water when at a couple of points / hours I felt in too much pain to move. He's due back Tuesday to carry on.
I want to get as much of my list as possible done while I'm off sick anyway.
Scheduled extra counselling session on Monday.

House sounds fabulous! Please rest as much as you needDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP - I'm literally spending most of my days lying down - with the odd comment of "up a bit, left a bit etc". He has been taking photos of what's he's done or showing me what issues he's uncovered and then asking for decisions or suggesting solutions. The only time I've been on my feet really - are my food, cat related, bathroom trips, if I have to go up or downstairs and then trying to carry stuff with me so no trip is wasted. Even hanging clothes on hangers I did sat down - and then hung most of them on the towel rail to dry.
Yesterday felt like a landmark day though as I was able to eat and retain food. The bread definitely helped - thankfully - although even then I'm talking 2 slices not loads... The tens machine was also amazing. I've set a 6 hour schedule for all my meds with alarms so hopefully today will go smoothly. Nice to have the house to my self - and I'm a little less scared of being alone than I was earlier in the week. You know when you crave solitude - but are fearful in case you need help but there's no-one there / coming.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it but I rang to cancel floor delivery in the nick of time a few days ago. Otherwise it would have been delivered yesterday. So over £3k on its way back to me but will need to pay off the CC first and then request refund. That has taken some £ shuffling.
Split across 3 savings accounts that pay interest as you go, I received roughly £141 in interest this month which is phenomenal. Completely new experience for me. Most of that is protected isa interest too. This is why a 0% spends card to enable stoozing seemed a good idea. I've identified a potential dryer. Just need to price check and then order it. That will make life easier when it comes. Some new PJs are due to come today - 2 that are a duplicate of an existing pair that I know are comfortable - and one that's just funky PJ bottoms. Hope they are as nice on as they look. Don't want anything tight around my waist currently.
When various relatives came here without me while I was in hospital and looked for requested items - and returned stuff - they created a huge amount of mess in every room. So where before I went in hospital only bedroom 2 was messy - I came back to a huge mess of overwhelm - including empty boxes and trip hazards everywhere. Sis helped the other day by getting a load of the empty boxes onto the skip and tidying things a little - but there's loads left to do. My goal is therefore to gradually tackle that in the front room and my bedroom in particular so it feels more 'restful' again. At the moment I'm feeling triggered / overwhelmed as there's too much stuff out unnecessarily. I have very little capacity however so I'm expecting this to be a few days to resolve - where someone else could perhaps resolve those 2 rooms in under an hour.
I've made a start by wipining my laptop and a couple of side tables. Baby steps. I'm going into the kitchen shortly for some water and a coffee so will try and remove some detritus as I go etc...

Sorry to hear you have been unwell SH but glad you are home . Would your old cleaner be willing to drive over and give you a hand for payment of course . You seemed to trust her and she likely knows how you like things doing ? Just a thought . Get better soon .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.5

Just catching up on the last few weeks - wow! Sending healing vibes & (((hugs)))
The new house sounds like it's 'home' though which is lovely to hear & agree that the extra money spent on the roof is a valid use of your EF.
Take care xx4 -
Thanks Dancing, Beanie, Jwil and Sunshine
Today I have been over tired and grumpy so pretty much done nothing. Played a little with paint this evening. Temperature keeps spiking but added ham sandwich 1 slice) and 4 mini tomatoes to bread and banana.,.
New PJs came today which are lovely. New TD due from 7am onwards tomorrow. They will remove old one.
