Thanks KK, Lucielle, Mark and Beanie
They stayed 45 minutes!! Luckily my DD and her BF turned up at the same time and I was able to give her some stuff of Ex's and go out and talk to them most of the time. Ironically the E bike won't fit in the BF's posh A*** car so using my Sk0d* instead! I got her BF to bring a crate down for me.
I explained to the buyers how the dishwasher worked.
I appreciate all the well wishes. I'll be so glad when the move is done.
Struggled to sleep last night so played with printing and making collage sheets. This was in my journal and included printing with bubble wrap!

Loving the art !Well done on the food, the pink tickets and getting people to support you on the move. There is actually no spare cash to gift - as you say - you want/need to hold extra back cos of house costs and be wise with this lump sum - it could be the last big one - - the max you can add to the pension either side of the tax year the better. If you could also get a one year fix savings not payable til next year you could probably arrange it all so you don’t pay tax OR have it in PB’s
as I do
hopefully your son can be there on the day - I have always had family or friends there as well as the removal men - even just to make a cup of tea etcDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Yes in the past I've had support from friends and family - but have become rather more isolated since the divorce and stopping going to church so there aren't easy people to ask. Some of the family members I would ask are currently over-committed themselves and struggling...
Thanks on the art. I'm really pleased with it and the other prints I made. I can see it is going to be lots of fun. I took DD's bike to her BF's parents house. I got to speak to his Mum for the first time and she's really into art too and they are also moving and looking for friends and won't be too far from my new place. So we've said we'll get together to make art after the move. That sounds really positive and something to look forward to. His Mum also does digital art and was recommending a tablet and a software package I could use for that. We may be able to share tips.
I also spoke briefly to DD's BF about after the move getting him to set me up a website with a shop - and - taking photos of my art work. (I'd pay him - so still need to agree prices). Packing has really underlined how many I have and I need to find a way of letting some go before creating more. If I have good enough photos I could sell a mix of originals and giclee prints which would be amazing.
All of the toing and froing with the buyers and DD's bike mean I've made no progress on the house today other than making my bed and making the bedroom look respectable. I also found a dead mouse - thanks cat - by the garage door when I went to my car - so hoping that wasn't there when the buyers came but think I would have noticed it!! It's really windy here today - not fun at all - although when I drove past a huge fir type tree earlier it looked like it was full on dancing as each branch swayed in the wind. That made me smile.
Tucking into jacket spud and MnS prawn cocktail with salad. Then going to make a bit of art (prints on computer paper) before having another go at packing!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
