I've just got mine from Eon:

Thanks for taking part in the latest energy saving event. We really appreciate your efforts.

    Here are your results:

You increased your energy usage by 24%

You may not have reached your target this time around, but there is still plenty of time to be rewarded for saving energy in future events.

I think that I must be doing something wrong!

They're not giving much away are they? Like what was the average over the past 8 days that they used for the session? You can download your smart meter usage figures from n3rgy.com, but the challenge is then figuring out which figures are used to calculate the target. From posts in other threads, there are criteria used to establish the average, which make nonsense of "past 8 days" but who knows what Eon use?

I've had the email invite and opted in. There is a target of 20% saving but no guidance as to what that might be.

It's only an hour, I'll probably turn everything off and wander down to Sainsbury's to get a couple of things.   That should fill the time nicely.

Mine says 20% too. I've opted in but will only be having a half hearted effort given the financial return is relatively low

Well, I sent an (only slightly sarcastic) email to Eon. No reply, but a credit to my account of £2.83. That could be for the first session, or both. Will have to wait for an explanation I suppose.
Will see what I can do in this evening's session - Christmas lights go off, TV goes off (OH does like to leave it on all day, much to my annoyance!), fridge stays on, as does the central heating, although I might turn the thermostat down a degree to prevent the pump running.
    Bah Humbug! :)

It's worth noting if the TV is anything like mine turning it on to medium power save mode during the day cuts it's power usage in about half and it's still bright enough in winter months

Another email from Eon today saying there's another saving session this evening, with a 20% target for me again. BUT, absolutely nothing (no email or credit to my account) regarding the previous two sessions I took part in.
When I can reign in my sarcasm, I think I'll be emailing them about it...
It’s worth remembering that the time for the reward payment isn’t entirely up to the supplier as it’s ultimately National Grid who’ll need time to receive the data, do their calculations, and then make their total payment to Eon.

Eon then need to apply… whatever exactly it is they’re doing with their own rules to determine how much of that money they plan on passing on to consumers.
    Moo…

Got the "results" email now and it tells me I reduced my energy usage by 91% in the last energy saving period, which was presumably the first. Not that a difficult target to hit, although I doubt if a did so well in the actual last one, as the dishwasher was running and went into its drying phase as the session began.
No response to my email asking how the target was calculated, but for amusement, I might work backwards from what my meter reported I used and see what that is 9% of, then try and match that to see what the "last 8 days" could have been.
NIce little exercise during this coming session, but I don't want to run my computer as I'm trying to save electricity! ;)

I have that, and a timer which shuts it off if the remote hasn't been touched for 4 hours - could be shorter, but it's annoying if it does it during a movie! Uncanny how when it switches off because the OH has fallen asleep in front of it, she immediately wakes up and switches it back on, before going back to sleep!

There is the mismatch of 8 days Vs the official 10 days too. When the data is on for today I'll download and do the calc too
