Eon Next Demand Flexibility Scheme 2023

If last year is anything to go by, Eon Next tend to just do their own thing without offering any real clarity to their customers into the hows or whys of it all.Are they choosing their own rules, or has NGESO agreed that they should operate their events differently to everyone else for no apparent reason? Perhaps they just made something up that sounded about right. I’m not totally convinced Eon would know the answer themselves either.Moo…1

More likely to say something like "congratulations, you beat your target of 20% usage."Saw somebody on another thread saying how they'd easily beat their 20% reduction target, and nobody corrected them to say it was a 20% usage target, i.e 80% reduction. So, it is wide open to interpretation. Like they say, there's lies, damn li, and statistics.

“Energy Reduction Target” is the minimum percentage of your typical electricity usage by which you must reduce your consumption during the Turn-Down Event in order to qualify for a credit.

Well that does not agree with the wording you get when you opt in! I hope they have just made a typo and meant target reduction...
If it is and 80% reduction required it will be problematic0 -

Seems pretty clear to me that 20% is the reduction amount.2 -

Not with Eon but on that screen shot if you normally used 1kwh between 16:30-18:00 then to be rewarded you need to use 200Wh or less.0

I really think this has to be a misunderstanding, because no one would surely be expected to reduce their consumption by 80%.
I signed up for this a couple of days ago, not been invted to take part yet but my usage yesterday between 4 and 6 was less than 0.8kWh, and whilst I think it wouldn't be too difficult for me to reduce that by 20% it wouldn't be worth bothering if I'm only going to get a few pence as a reward. I might do it once just to see what happens.0 -
It was just inaccurate language on their part. My target was "20%" and I saved 48% and have been paid already1

I haven't heard anything from either of the two savings sessions I've now done, other than the email after each one sayingWe’re doing the sums right now and will let you know how much you saved in the next few days.Do you mind saying how you established the 48% saving and how much Eon paid you per kWh (or part thereof) saved?
