if a Universal Credit claimant have had a claim review when will they likely to be reviewed again, is it once a year?
It's supposed to be random,Wouldn't be any good if you knew when it was happening.

I recently had all my paper statements turned off by banks so using the (app) I was unable to turn them back to paper again, so signed in (online) and updated (paper preferences ) to (paper only) again. Now if they can send you promotional paper mail for loans cards etc. Why then do they attempt to stop paper statements? It costs you electricity, ink and paper + time.

So if you want statements mailed out it is possible and it's cheaper for you especially in a cost of living crisis. So check preferences online to update it, remember phone apps will block any attempts to change it.
For most people it's probably not worth having paper statements these days, as with most things you can send it as a file, you don't even need to have a printer because you can use the print as pdf. I kept on saying I want paper statements and then when I did stop it I said to myself I should of done this years ago.
My wife has finally finished her immigration process with just a ceremony to go.. and I hate paper waste... so finally at the weekend I destroyed all bank statements held for years...and flicked everything to electronic statements.. the next day "We are reviewing your Universal Credit claim to make sure your payments are correct." I could curse my luck... now trying to get a statement for an inactive bank account where can't produce online as with no transactions in a month it doesn't work.
Now that is bad luck, hope you get it sorted without to much hassle.
Yeah sorted today... although still waiting on wife to get her phone out and take a selfie with her driving licence!!
That's good, if you are using a driving licence as ID then you will also need the driving licence check code for UC. I didn't know about that I was eager sent the picture and then got a message about needing the check code.
Yeah.... just be careful not to test it...lol.. from quick reading it looks like the code can only be used once...lol
Sorry I don't know how I missed this, I'm pretty sure you use it many times up to a certain date,I'm also sure I checked it myself before I sent it.

It's not random as such, they are using "machine learning and analytics". A computer will select claims based on what is deemed most likely to have error or fraud.

True but what I meant is it's random to us, it wouldn't be any good for it to be at set intervals, for those that might be committing fraud.

It will be unknown. I expect at some point we will hear of some claimants having more than one review, whereas others haven't had any.

On a different subject does anyone know what the holiday rules are for someone on UC LCWRA?

If you go abroad for a week for a normal holiday do you have to tell them? I went on holiday recently for a week but had no idea what the rules are

    Google is confusing

There is no actual concept of "holiday" in UC.
With UC you can be out of the UK for up to a month without it affecting your claim*
If you are going abroad purely for medical treatment it can be 26 weeks.
*You are still expected to do your claimant commitments whilst out of the UK, and if called for a jobcentre appointment you would have to come back to the UK for it.
Not really a problem if you are LCW/LCWRA but awkward for jobseekers to prove they are looking for work when sat by the pool.
Whilst you don't have to tell them that you are going abroad it's better to do so to avoid any questions later.

You don't have too as long as you are fulfilling your claimant commitment (for a person on  LCWRA  it will be checking your journal).
I've been on a few holidays and never told the DWP as they haven't been over 28 days (I claim PIP, if just UC then would be a month).

My daughter claims UC with LCWRA and we went on holiday last year for 2 weeks and will be going again this year for 11 nights. As her appointee, I didn't tell them she was going. Her only commitments are to report changes, which I would if there was any.
