Sounds like a typical DWP staff not given training on how to do their job correctly.KxMx said:If it helps at the time of my compliance check , I was over £6k but under £6k once the CoL payments were excluded. I had done a journal note detailing this before my phone appointment.
As mentioned, no blanking out anything on my statement was allowed. I initially left payments in from eBay fully visible, but blanked out some business names for minor outgoing transactions.
Had to re submit unredacted statements, even the 6 month one I wasn't allowed to black out the 2 month period they didn't want to know about.
I was questioned about various transactions including £12 pm for window cleaner and £30 odd for broadband. And about One PayPal payment over the whole 6 months, for £25, because it showed as a direct debit.
I had to explain how PP worked (if bank account is used as funding source then it is a DD).
Two regular payments out which were for credit cards "that's okay we don't ask to see those" was the reply!
I was not questioned about the money in from eBay which was regular before tailing off.
After those questions she asked me to send individual pages showing all my CoL payments so she could calculate my capital, which was confirmed to be under £6k.
Once capital is agreed under the £6k then no further action should be taken.
You pay a window cleaner from bank account, they want to know about the charge, pay them via credit card, not interested, the mind boggles.
I have a feeling when I have my one it won't go smoothly.

If I have one they won't have any staff resources left to do yours...lol... I'll try to get my wife's Naturalisation application fee paid 'what is this payment for?'.... "Ask the Home Office and if you get a good answer can you tell me"..'Who is T K Maxx?'.. "I suspect my wife's having an affair with him.. every time she goes out alone she gives him money".HillStreetBlues said:KxMx said:If it helps at the time of my compliance check , I was over £6k but under £6k once the CoL payments were excluded. If they bring a law out stating a person on UC always has to justify their spending I will comply, if I go over £6k, then I will comply, as they do have a right to check DoC. If I'm under the £6k I will not comply because legally I don't have too.

They will find mine interesting as I have ‘apple’ payments in clusters - I have a game that when my world is confusing and scary I play obsessively and will buy upgrades (not affecting essential money) - if they ask I will say it is out of my PIP money which is there for me to help with my disability. Can also be linked to documentable life events but as under £6000 they should not ask!1

I ended up going into my bank and asking them to print out 4 months of statements. I uploaded them on my UC journal a few days ago.
Today I got a message on my journal to take part an appointment with a claim review agent by phone next week, anyone else had this?0 -
This is very common at the moment as advised in the thread...the telephone call is just part of the process... https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit-reviewsSUPERGIRL2020 said:I ended up going into my bank and asking them to print out 4 months of statements. Thanks for the reassurance0

I think it's outrageous that it's taken 3 months since being first notified.
It's like they try and do the most they can to stress people out.

Was the issue not that the Op severely delayed in providing bank statements requested?HillStreetBlues said:I think it's outrageous that it's taken 3 months since being first notified.
