Well, t'is Xmas eve here in Australia, nearly 11pm (merry Xmas to all)... and prep for tomorrows xmas dinner has gone a bit poop.
I picked up the "cooked and stuffed turkey buffe" from the very expensive grocers, and was just cutting a lump off to fit it in a tin when I found it pink and bloody on the inside, so need to give that some cooking tomorrow (and go in and give them the roasting they clearly didn't give the turkey when they're open again)...
Cooking the lil sausages was a bit of a foggy affair, but now we have every door and window open, the fire alarm is silent.
The yorkshires look like small cannonballs. Never seen anything like it. Couldn't make them again like that if I tried. Might be good to use as artillery against the crows at 5 am though. The roasties are still in the oven, and should be ok as long as I don't doze off. Veg is frozen, and thus hopefully foolproof.
The funny thing is, I don't recall the last time I ever had a problem in the kitchen :rotfl:
So, I've hit the home made baileys, which I might say is excellent as always... and it all looks ok.
Here's hoping your meals go as planned (and if not, that you have good home made baileys to hand)
Cheers all!
P.S it's not as if I have to worry, it's only 8 inlaws coming for dinner!!!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Hi Softstuff,
I'm sorry to hear that everything's going wrong for you...hopefully the Bailey's should ease the pain!
In spite of it all I hope you have a lovely Christmas day! Just think you'll be relaxed and enjoying yourself tomorrow when we are all panicking over lunch.
I'll merge your thread with the daily where you'll get lots of support.

:j Afternoon all.
I seem to have caught up with myself so unless I really want to look around and find a bit of housework to do (which I don't) the rest of the day is mine.
OH is the cook in the house (mainly because I'm rubbish at it and he actually enjoys it) so he's nipped out.........via the pub of course..........for some last minute bits and pieces in the food line.
MIL's christmas card didn't arrive so I made a new year one ready to post and fingers crossed she gets it.
Apart from that its a day to relax and why not ? With all the things I've promised myself I'll do come new year I need to save some energy............lol
Hope you all have a Happy Christmas.................!!:jMary

Good Afternoon All
Happy Birthday to Blairweech OH, mine hasn't opened his presents yet, he'll do it after work. Its a shame he's had to work on his birthday!
The crem was busy when I nipped there after work. Lovely to see all the wreaths though. as usual, no-one else in the family attended the memorial plaque for my grandparents. I tidied it up, put fresh flowers down, and came home just before the rain!
DD is not feeling well, she's burning up, feeling dizzy & headache. Infact both kids are still in their pj's! Just hope she's ok for Santa's arrival. Ive even tried to coax her into watching Santa on Norad, (she loved it last year), but she's not interested!
Right, off for a brew.
Love to all
