I am having my Christmas cry just now as thinking and wondering about my birth Mum and whether she thinks of me and wondering about my Darling daughter I gave up for adoption (does she think of me I wonder?) Going to have a fantastic day tomorrow with DD, SIL and boys!
GB xxxxxxxxx
Dear GB its good to have a cry and remember, no mum in the world whatever the circumstances would not be thinking of her children today, your mum obviously had a very good reason for having you adopted, as I am sure you did with your daughter, they WILL both be thinking of you over christmas, you are a lovely person, and have lots of friends on here. You have obvioulsy done a fantastic job in bringing up your children, enjoy your birthday and christmas day tomorrow, and rest assured your mum and daughter will be thinking of you, and loving you xxx0 -
Afternoon all, just popping on for a bit of a moan..sorry I know it's Christmas Eve.
Miss Twit who is 14 was walking home from town, about 5 minutes along busy roads, when she was mugged at our doorstep.
The little !!!!!! grabbed at her bags, but only managed to get one of her bags, the one with her wrapping paper and her purse in.
The police have been and the PC was great, but Miss Twit is very shaken up they have taken her coat and scarf to try and get some DNA.
My poor baby, I feel so awful that this has happened to her.
What an awful thing to happen to your DD, some people have no morals, they will get whats coming to them, one word for them SCUM, give her big hugs and kisses, I hope she gets over the shock, and is able to enjoy christmas xx0 -
Cranky.,..................had trouble with my crowns only mine chipped at the back. Emergency appt. with dentist is this Friday (28th) but I got some stuff from local chemist -sort of DIY filling kit and one that sticks crowns as well..........just in case the chips worsened and the crown fell off............they're the teeth right at the front.........don't want that to happen Christmas Day
Havent used the filling kit so far...........got a bit timid about getting the stuff in the right placeand so far teeth are holding.
Might be bit late to get to the chemist now Cranky but if you can get something like that as soon as they open after Christmas it might help.
I sympathise with you. Teeth are a blessed nuisance when they first arrive and it doesn't seem to get much better when you get older. Good luck
I'm fixed thanks. I posted when I got back. It was a crown that was on a peg made from my own tooth and the tooth had snapped off at the gum. I had to have the nerve removed and the crown drilled and put back on a temporary post. The saga continues in January. Thanks for thinking of me though. It's still quite sore. Fingers crossed that yours holds out until your appointment.0 -
WhataT
So sorry to read about your daughter. Hope she is ok but what a horrid person to do this at this time of year (or any other time btw!) Hope she is OK
Have a lovely day tomorrow.

Evening all :hello:
Hope all are well. Happy birthday to Mr Blairweech (is he still behaving like a git, BW?) and Miss Ophie.
Hugs to grannybroon, PP and anybody else in need of one
whatatwit - ((((hugs)))) to your DD. It makes me  that there are idiots like that out there.
Haribo Junkie - I don't like you any moreI clicked on that link you posted yesterday to that daft reindeer game and now I am hooked on the damn thing
I have been sorting out the logistical nightmare that is Christmas. I have wrapped everything that needs wrapping. I have bought everything that needs buying (I even went to the cheese shop at 8am to beat the queues - it worked! - and am now in possession of various yummy things including the sort of brie that can knock out a fully grown elephant at 50 paces) and written everything that needs writing. I have booked my taxi home from church tonight, and the one to take me back there in the morning (the church pays expenses for choir members, as there's no other transport). I am now trying to work out exactly what I need to take with me to my mum's, as she's picking me up from church tomorrow and I am staying there till Saturday.
Dishwasher is on and I need to stick another load of washing in the machine before I set off for Midnight Mass (will be leaving here soon after 9 to make sure I am there in plenty of time for choir practice at 10:30). Oh yikes, I need to have another look at my solo for tomorrow.
Thought I was coming down with a nasty bug earlier - was feeling sick and had a slight temperature - but hopefully I can keep it at bay with Lemsip Max

heart in mouth moment - dd left a voice mail of her and dgs screaming. turns out he has jumped off her bed and onto a belt and the prong of the buckle has gone into his foot. She has called paramedics as she panicked and has no transport to take him to hospital so i'm just sitting here waiting for someone to call me back. I think his shots are up to date so hopefully he won't have to go but the prong was right in. His mum did something similar at the same age - dancing around the living room she knocked over a tin of pins and needles and then stepped in them. I panicked too and then took a first aid course. Am going to urge dd to do the same. poor dgs - what a way to start xmas
I was wrong - shots are not up to date so he's going to casualty for a tetanus
GB - thinking of you xxx
Miss Twit - special special hugs for youI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Cranky - glad you got sorted...............till January anyway. You were lucky to get an appointment that quick. I rang last Thursday hoping to get in Friday..........no chance and whats more the only surgery I can go to is the one 15 miles away. Same dentist but he's got two places. Seems the one in town here is being re-furbished and not open till March so whatever 'temporary' thing that gets done this Friday will have to be done properly some time later and I can see me back and forth like a yo yo. Thank goodness I've got a bus pass. At least the travel won't cost me anything. Dread to think about the teeth though. Two front ones, capped onto the pegs of original teeth and reaally they want coming out and re-doing.
Aint there always something and that'll be a great way to start 2008.
Still, must count my blessings.............Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !
