This is the first chance I've had today to get on here, I know we won't all have a chance to read the thread tomorrow so wanted to wish everyone

    HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!

Got to get ready for Carol Service and Midnight Mass now. Tomorrow we are going to DD1 for lunch (she's the one WITHOUT a new baby!), she invited us yesterday and we'd already bought a boned turkey breast from the butcher so I suggest we cook it here and take it to theirs, but she wouldn't hear of it, so we're taking dessert instead. I'll cook the turkey on Boxing Day instead.

In the afternoon we'll either drop round at DD2's on the way back from DD1's, to see DGS and meet DGD for the first time, or they will pop in here, depending what works out best for everyone. We did take the prezzies to DD2's this afternoon, assuming they'd be in as some friends were meant to be visiting them, only to find them out - and us with a lovely bunch of flowers for her too! It turned out she'd made her DH take her to Mothercare so she could buy the baby a pink blanket!:rotfl: Bless her heart.

All for now, hope everyone manages to relax and enjoy tomorrow. I must say this has turned out to be one of our more unusual Christmases! MIL is still in hosp and my DH isn't well enough to visit her, so he'll try ringing her on her mobile in the morning and hope she's compos mentis enough to talk to him what with al the painkillers!:p

    Best wishes

Hi everyone. Well, at least the veg is done. OH is waiting for kids to fall asleep so he can get some presents out of the loft that we haven't wrapped. My SIL bought them a few weeks ago before her untimely death and I haven't really felt like wrapping them up. Got to do it though I guess. OH found a diary one of my DDs wrote in, He wasn't snooping and it was open. It said how much she loved and missed her aunty and she wished she could see her again. We haven't let on to DD that we have seen diary but i really feel for her, they were very close!!!
I might feel better if I have a drink but OH keeps making tea like there's no tomorrow!!! Between being glued to tv.
