Me and my partner switched from Ulster to Barclays
Also have a 0 percent Ulster credit card direct debit set up on both and they both come off on the same day
Monies for payment transferred into both accounts a good few days before payment due
My direct debit came off fine. My partners hasn’t and a text this morning saying payment was not received
Never had any problems before with numerous switches.1 -
My switch completed on the 21st with Barclays and there were numerous issues re the app not working. Still not received the incentive. Coop switch completed yesterday and referral bonus paid today. 🤷🏻♀️ Out of the 8 people I know that have switched to Barclays, 1/8 had no app or other issues. Everybody else has had a multitude of issues 2 people have had their accounts frozen.1

IronMan22 said:Does anyone know if there is a way to check the switch went through? Or best to just do it again? I tried calling Barclays and the person was less than useful.
However I got a notification from Monzo later in the day to say I had started a switch, which I bever got the first time, so I am assuming it never. New switch date is better as it means some DD's will have come out of the account also so wait and see but glad I checked and tried again.0 -

So I did the switch to Barclays 2 direct debits paid in £800 joined Blue Rewards last month. Success I got my £175 reward. Now into December and they have taken £5 fee for having Blue Rewards and was expecting to get the £5 fee as a loyalty bonus. but when I spoke to someone from Barclays you have to have paid the direct debits in the last month to get the loyalty bonus this month which as a new customer would be impossible. Never mind still up £1700

I applied for a Barclays current account on the 26/11 and initiated my switch from TSB that has 2 direct debits. I then joined Blue Rewards to meet the criteria, all done via the app.
The issue for me here was that when double checking I had done everything correctly, Blue Rewards still prompted me to "Join now". I did this at least one more time just to be sure.
I logged into my account yesterday before my switch completed today (05/12) to transfer £800 and I noticed I wasn't part of Blue Rewards so joined again and this time it shows on my accounts page.
Question is will I still meet the criteria for the switching incentive? Thanks!!
This has happened to others (reported earlier in the thread). Barclays support chat confirmed to me this won't affect the switch offer: "I'm sorry there were issues with your Barclays Wallet, our team are working to fix this in the background and we will make sure this doesn't affect your eligibility for the switch offer."
You may wish to raise this yourself to Barclays to receive confirmation specific to your circumstances.

Switch completed 23 November and still patiently awaiting the incentive.
Received message today telling me to check my documents urgently for a letter relating to Blue Rewards.
New letter there dated 29 November advising I'm not eligible for Blue Rewards at the moment because I'm not paying at least £800 each month into my linked current account. And yet I have done that twice now from my non-Barclays current account and the requisite direct debits are being taken as well.
All very curious.
