Both 'Barclays Blue Rewards' and 'Barclays Cashback Rewards' have sort codes and account numbers, but they are not shown in the normal account list. You will find their corresponding details under Statements and documents.

For Blue Rewards, the details appear in online banking only.
For Cashback Rewards, the details (including a 10-digit account number) appear in the app only (select 'Change' to see the account selection list).

Blue Rewards wallets/accounts that have been closed are also shown in online banking under Statements and documents. Barclays has closed the Blue Rewards wallets of some customers, either by mistake or intentionally, but regardless there are problems in the background they are trying to fix.

  • So far so good but no sign of the £175 incentive to date.  My switch from NatWest successfully went through on Friday 17 November. I'd joined Blue Rewards and paid in £800 after a few hiccups with the app which were resolved once I received my debit card and re-registered - all before the switch.  I've also successfully received £10 Cashback buying £200 PBs.  I've put in for another £200 this morning.

My main concern is the two "active" DDs on my NatWest did not show on the switch letter from Barclays.  I had only transferred them to NatWest from another account a few days/a week or so beforehand.  However, both somehow made it to Barclays and both were successfully taken out this morning which was a relief as they are utility bills.  My thinking is the fact they did transfer from NatWest to Barclays, despite not showing on correspondence, would mean I've met the T&C's and would be prepared to challenge this if I don't get the incentive.

Interesting times and quite the most silly switch I've done so far!  Will let you now if I get my incentive and look forward to hearing other tales.

  • Successfully applied for a Barclay account last night but my switch from Monzo failed as they didn’t recognise them for CASS. Spoke to Barclay this morning and they wouldn’t honour the £175 even though Monzo are part of CASS..

    Strange.

I switched Monzo into Barclays and received the £175
  • Barclays have just text saying those who had a problem switching last night have until the 5th December. Mine said it went through so not sure if this means it didn’t

I've just managed to have my new Barclays account totally frozen until I visit a Branch with two forms of ID.  The reason this has happened is that I tried to pay £600 out of this account to my own account with Lloyds.  This is a payee that came over from the switched account and that I paid the same amount to in November.
First I paid £800 in from my Lloyds account (for December's Blue Rewards) then tried to pay out £600 back to the Lloyds leaving £200 to be paid for the 5% cashback reward. On paying the £600 out I got a screen saying it needed further security checks and to wait 4 hours. This also happened last month and eventually I had to make the payment again the next day as the payment never went through.  About an hour later the phone rung which I couldn't answer and a voicemail from Barclays said I needed to call them.  I went to the app and had a 'RG21M - This app is blocked'
I have called and got through to the fraud department, answered all the security checks and was being asked 'why did you want to make the payment'?, 'has anyone asked you to make the payment'? I explained I was paying my own account, because I wanted to, no-one was forcing me but the operative kept insisting that I wasn't paying my own account and kept quoting the reference that is saved in the payee details 'Lloyds' and not my own name.  The operative insisted that I haven't paid this payee before and he wasn't listening when I explained that the payee was a switched payee. I'm totally dismayed.  Anyone have any advice?

Hopefully my switch will go through ok after my last day visit to the branch. I have joined blue rewards and will try and get £10 cashback after spending £200. People on here seem to be buying premium bonds, is there a reason for this? I was just going to spend £200 on petrol and xmas shopping. Thanks.

I guess i was lucky then, i did something similar but the payment wouldn't work, so i set up the receiving account as a new payee and that worked okay, just another example of how crap Barclays systems are.

I suggest you do the same, then make a complaint as you should be able to use those details that were transferred as part of the switch and show on your payee list.
