Just go to HOMESERVE, take out their plumbing and drainage cover for 50p per month and then you have the two DD's (or use PayPal if you don't already). Then once the switch takes place, cancel the DD and it will have cost you 50p at the most.eldaniel said:Could somebody help please? I have been living under the rock. The issue is the timing of the DD getting onto the account, not the need for sourcing a DD. DDs take many days to set up from scratch. And the switched account will need to have the DDs active before the switch. There's barely time for that to happen for a brand new DD now. And the question was about whether getting one set up on the Barclays account would suffice - but that wouldn't.WWERAW said:

Well i'm stuck waiting for my PIN for my card to come through the post. I got my card Monday but if my PIN doesn't come today or tomorrow then I'm done and lose out on the bonus.
Called Barclays and they won't help over the phone or personally in the bank. I'm solely reliant on the post in my area.0 -
Not sure it's relevant with Barclays but one bank I did a switch to the pin was discoverable in the app before the one in the post0

I think the lesson to be learned here is have two direct debits on your burner account in preparation of your next switch. They can be ones you don't pay out on, credit card, pay pal etc, just remember to put something on them after the switch (if necessary). Got my £175 incentive before any of them paid out with Barclays so.......2

Funnily enough this was something I was trying to do. Unfortunately I've hit a road block with Metro and Paypal. For some reason the 1pence credit with the 4 digit number never shows up in my metro bank account. I've tried removing it and re-adding it and no dice. Even waited a week thinking Metro was like the old days where it took ages to be posted. Good job I'm facing this when I don't have a switch deadline looming, lol.

Started mine on the 13th and was fully switched last Tuesday 21st, so just missed that Monday batch run last week, if indeed it was a thing. I opened a Barclay account on the 7th, did the switch on the same day and got the reward on the 20th

Nope. Started the switch on 3rd November, completed on the 10th. Still not received the switch incentive.

That makes me wonder if, in their eyes, you have not met the criteria.
