I've seen people say that it works if they try again the next day. I guess it's possible it's like the account opening thats only available during certain hours.

Iceheart16 said:Hi, can anyone confirm if I'm able to start the switch on Nov 30th ? Reason being I want to switch an account from nationwide which has only just completed a switch itself on the 24th & I'm waiting on the payout which should be within 10 days, I'm worried that as soon as I start the Barclays switch that nationwide will refuse to pay the bonus even though it should be open for 7 more days before the switch completes, really appreciate any advice 🙏
Where would Nationwide pay the reward to if you didn't have an account with them ?0 -

I need an activation code to be able to use the app and access my account. I don't have my debit card and PIN yet and am running out of time to start a switch.
It says you can get a code from a Barclays ATM but I assume you need a debit card and PIN to do that. Can anyone who's got a code through an ATM confirm this for me please? I've tried calling but nobody ever answers.0 -

Has ANYBODY had a reward payout since last Mondays 'batch'?I was quite surprised to get my payout so quickly having only completed the switch on, I think, the previous Friday - but partner, whose switch completed we thought on the same day, has had nothing yet.......2

Could somebody help please? I have been living under the rock. Only found out today about this switch offer. I only have 1 DD set up on the account I want to switch from. Do you think that it will work if I switch with 1 DD and set up now 2nd one with another utility supplier to take it from the new Barclays account withing the next lets say 15 days. Do you think it will meet critertia of having 2 DDs? Thanks0

If you are feeling up for a gamble you could start the Barclays switch and hope that Nationwide pay out before that switch is complete, because the account still exists. If that doesn't happen I guess there is also a chance that you could do another switch to Nationwide after Barclays but you'd be testing Nationwide's T&Cs regarding having earned a bonus but closed the account before you got it.
So I'd say stick with what you've got and set up a burner account to be ready for future switches with whoever. I've always got at least two accounts just hanging around, one of which has two active DDs.
But definitely check your Nationwide account late on today. You might just squeeze in! Who said banking couldn't be exciting....0 -

No harm in trying, but you aren't meeting the terms, so be prepared to fail.
- Complete a full Current Account Switch via the Barclays App from another provider, this must include at least 2 active direct debits, to your eligible account using the Current Account Switch Service
